Grady did an excellent job with my vehicle! He easily beat the quote from my dealership. But even more important, Grady was timely, organized, and offered unmatched customer service. I will definitely be back for my future vehicle needs!

It was a great experience working with Grady and Suboverland. I picked a base level Suburban about a month ago and there were no surprises and was exactly as expected. I have already used it to get to Steamboat Springs for skiing with a group of friends. In the coming weeks I will be building it out for extended road trips with my dog. Thank you Suboverland for a great business idea and helping me take a step into a whole lifestyle!

I have had so much fun with my Suboverland! Already over 10k miles. Everything is a compromise but Grady has made excellent choices to produce a vehicle that is practical at a great price point. Every time I get behind the wheel I feel like I m on vacation. I m happy and the people around me smile and wave and are happy also. This is also the best for the environment, keeping these old vehicles on the road instead of in the landfill. One less sprinter;)

We had an amazing experience with Grady and his family at SUBOVERLAND. From the beginning we felt very connected to the process. All of our questions got answered and they did an awesome job of finding the right rig for us. From the moment we got on the list until we ll after we picked up our vehicle, we felt very confident. I absolutely love my 1994 GMC Suburban and have had so many adventures in the short time we have owned it.I can t begin to speak highly enough about this company and their product. For the experienced overlander to the beginner. This would be an awesome addition to your access to the outdoors.

My experience buying a SUBOVERLAND vehicle was fantastic. I bought a 2004 Chevy Suburban with the Z71 and off-road packages as well as several add-ons, and I couldn't be happier with it. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. I had watched Grady's videos on YouTube for quite some time before ordering my vehicle, and that is what led me to buy a vehicle from him rather than from anyone else. You get to know him on his channel, and it's clear that he is honest, straightforward, and just a truly good person. He and his team do excellent work and offer a great product. My vehicle had 256K miles on it when I bought it, and I had it shipped to Maryland. The shop owner who did the required state inspection told me more than once that the vehicle was in remarkably good condition for its mileage, that typically a vehicle with this many miles on it would need about 2K in repairs to get it to pass the Maryland inspection. Mine passed with zero repairs needed. I am also super happy with all the SUBOVERLAND add-ons that I ordered (LED headlights, Flowmaster muffler, window ventshades, trailer brake controller, tow mirrors, hidden 12,000-pound winch, stereo with backup camera), as well as with the interior. I asked for three total seats, and there is plenty of room inside for everything I need. The upholstery and carpeting appear new, and the seats are very comfortable. I am extremely happy with the vehicle. If you want a roomy, capable 4WD camper with simple interior components that you can maintain yourself, a vehicle that won't break the bank to maintain and repair, and an enjoyable and worry-free ordering process, SUBOVERLAND is the way to go. You will not find better people to work with.

All the staff at suboverlander were great. Any little thing wrong with my vehicle fixed at no charge. Door pins, brake light on the dash etc. I feel I got a quality rig and am enjoying it completely. Grady showed me how everything worked and doesn't mind me popping in and showing upgrades I've done to my rig. Just friendly and loves and knows what he's doing. 5plus stars Quality and integrity.

I cannot recommend Suboverland enough! Grady has created an amazing company that specializes in creating tough-as-nails, well-designed, and affordable overland vehicles. I worked with him to create a dream suburban build-out that I have taken all over the continent with no issues whatsoever. The amount of time he spent with me designing the vehicle was great, he also completed it on time and it exceeded expectations! Grady carefully inspects each suburban he buys, and is extremely experienced suburban mechanic. He keeps in touch inviting us to Suboverland events and gatherings as well as checking in about the truck/camper. If you re in the fence, go for it! You won t be disappointed.

I am writing to echo all of the positive sentiments written by all of the other Suboverland customers thus far. Grady and his company are top notch. Suboverland vehicles are a great combination of size (big enough but not too big), amenities, reliability, and price, and they make living on the road a delight. Mine has served me very well over the last year for everything from months on the road to weekend trips and everything in between. I highly recommend getting in touch with Grady if you are interested, even if you are just mulling options as I was. He always gets back to you very quickly and is always willing to discuss anything at length. Top notch business owner and human being. Thanks Grady and Suboverland!

I happened upon SUBOVERLAND via Instagram as I was on the lookout for some sort of overland vehicle to live part time in. When I saw the Chevy K5 Blazer that Grady had just completed, I immediately fell in love! From start to finish, Grady was incredibly helpful in answering any questions I had. He even offered to pick me up once I got to town (in the K5 no less). He was honest and straightforward about all the idiosyncrasies of the Blazer and even knocked the price down when he realized some minor issues after the fact. Overall, the absolute best experience I ve ever had buying a vehicle. I m completely satisfied with the build and am excited to get on the road!

This vehicle is the best investment we've ever done. We always look at big expenses to have it be multi functional, crossing business, pleasure and life. Suboverland was super easy to communicate with, had the entire interior and placement of important items already figured out and is super reasonably priced. Yes we use gas, but with our solar panel and the water tube on the roof we can also live off the grid for most parts of our travels. It's our perfect getaway in the weekend, the best business / delivery truck and the most freedom giving travel vehicle existing. Want to explore? Get to places you usually don't get? Get off the grid once a while? This is it.

We chose to purchase two modified suburbans from Grady. We found him to be very honest, trustworthy, and willing to go the extra mile (or three) to make sure we were taken care of. We were so impressed with Suboverland, we decided to purchase and have built a third and possibly a fourth suburban to rent out here in Alaska. Not only is the design great, his ethics are unquestionable. He saved us a bunch of money and heartache by being honest.

We had an incredible experience and I would not hesitate to use the Suboverland team again! As an australian looking to buy/rent a vehicle for an extended roadtrip, I was nervous and unsure if we could pull it off due to a lack of information out there and eyewatering prices of RVs for hire. I needn't have worried as Grady and the team were able to provide an affordable way for my partner and I to have the experience of a lifetime. For those wondering, yes as a foreigner you can buy and sell a car in the usa and I fully recommend the Suboverland team as they helped sort everything from an appropriate vehicle, insurance, registration, provisions to get us going and had outstanding communication through the whole process. The car was perfect as it allowed us to go anywhere on a whim, leading us safely through the snow of Canadian rockies, to the dry heat of the White Sands Desert, through to manouvering easily through the city streets of Nashville and New Orleans so we could enjoy the fantastic music on offer. The biggest hurdle is actually getting to Twin Falls, which does take some consideration as there is not a lot of public transport. However you may be as lucky as we were to meet some very friendly Idahoians who drove us from Boise!!Definitely an experience I will never forget!

I ve had many different adventure vehicle and SubOverland has been the best and most economical. The 4wd system is the burliest! And when you re in the boonies and have an issue, most mechanics know their way around a Chevy V8. Can t be said for Sprinter Diesels. Grady has been available and easy to reach for any questions, upgrades, trouble shooting etc. Net excellent customer service. 5 stars all the way!

I m not sure where to being this review. How do you even start to thank a person that his skills and incredible work allowed you to fullfill a lifelong dream? Me and my wife where thinking to go on a roadtrip around the west coast durin the summer of 2018. We always wanted to experience vanlife, and sleeping in our car, cooking our meals underneath the sky and just drift from one state to another. So the first thing we did was look online. Our research led us to many different results, none of them really felt like that was it. Most of them were pricey as hell, and the ones that weren t just didn t seem proffesional enough. And then we saw a post on Suboverland in Reddit by a couple who took their car all around the state. That very same day, we also found posts on Suboverland in Instgram, and in Craigslist. So we decided we should check it out.We called Grady, set up a date to pick up the car, and that was it. A few months after we got ourselvs to Idaho to pick up the car and I can tell you, this would be a moment I will never forget! It was like receiving the keys for a brand new house. Only this house had wheels and it was incredible!Grady listend to all our needs and built us an incredible car! We had a shower, solar power, fantasticfan, storage, celling lights, and the car was completely insulated! We were sleeping in subzero tempretures so many times and it was just the coziest sleep we could have wished for! I can go on and on just how much we love the car Grady has built for us. But to summerize it all.Suboverland provided us with an affordable build that became our home for 5 months on the road throught out all of the west coast and Canada. And I seriously reccomend everyone dreaming about this lifestyle to get in touch with Suboverland. Believe me, I ve done the research, nothing can beat that. Just perfect. Thank you Suboverland!

Got our 2003 Suboverland in Nov 2018 and have been loving it. We've used it for multiple ski trips, camping trips, I even pulled an art car to Burning Man with it last year. It's been super reliable, great motor and transmission. The interior is we'll set up, it has all the necessities. We've added some personal touches, it is a great canvas for further customization. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I have owned our Suboverland for almost a year now and we love it! My boyfriend was very specific on what time of vehicle he wanted and Grady was amazing in finding it for him! I ll be honest the first night I thought I was going to break (I kinda did only because we had over packed and I was trying to get situated and was getting flustered, but it all worked out) once I placed everything away in the shelves and under the bed storage, we both felt comfortable. I was a little worried on how well we would sleep at night, my boyfriend is a bigger guy and I m not petite either, but we both slept great. It was a cold night at our first spot but with the window panels they provided and one good blanket it was perfect temperature. Whats great about the Suboverland is you can be out all day and well into the evening without having to worry about setting up a camp in the dark! Solar panel, water tank, and a dometic cooler are all useful add-ons. My mother and I went on a trip, she has a bad lower back and she slept comfortable. My boyfriend loves our Suboverland so much that it s his daily driver.

I was an early adopter into Suboverland and I have loved every second with my build. I had looked into overland vehicles for years and could never find a build that was in my price range/ wasn t 50 years old. I found Suboverland and it I fell in love.I have been all over the country in this car and seen some amazing things. It sounds crazy but I really have met the coolest people and made some memories I couldn t have made without this car.For the price, the features, the good dude you re buying it from, Suboverland is seriously a slam dunk.
