I cannot rave about straight shot enough. Dakota(sp) is a kind, professional and intelligent mechanic. He is quick and is so easy to work with. The few times he has worked on my car, he has just given me a sense of relief knowing that safety and honesty are his top values. This is someone you def want to have in your pocket.

Truck was at the shop for almost 5 months, was given back to me with a coolant leak, fuel leak, and boost leak. Payed over 1500 dollars in labor.Bad communication, hardly ever answered phone calls.

Name is in integrity with its owner and shop. If I lived here, I would not go anywhere else. Owner is honest, knowledgeable, experienced, hardworking, great guy. Crew works hard too. Oddly enough was passing through on a Friday too. Dakota made sure we were taken care of. Not just his customers but us travelers too. This is the place to go.

Was passing through twin falls on a Friday before a holiday and had a wheel bearing go out on my truck. Dakota took us in on a short notice on his Friday and worked relentlessly on my truck until it was fixed the same day and we were able to make our drive all the way to central Montana. He was very knowledgeable and honest with the problem and had very reasonable pricing. If you are looking for a no BS mechanic that knows what they are doing, this is your guy.Service: Steering & suspension repair

We mainly saw his friend, Greg, who runs his own business in the same building. Dakota was awesome though by talking to us and diagnosing things with Greg to help find the problem and get us back on the road! So a big "Thank you"...they are the best! We were traveling with our 5th wheel when our truck developed a problem with the wiring. Long story short Dakota got our truck in and was able to fix the problem very well and quickly and got us back on the road. Dakota was able to find the issue with my truck when it had a check engine light that same day of my appointment. He also got my truck repaired and done on record time and at a good reasonable price. These guys are the best!! They saved my hide with an emergency repair while I was on my way to visit my family. I was on I80 and my alternator started to fail, it was 4:30 on a Friday, and I am not familiar with the area. On my way into Twin Falls I called 4 different shops, all of whom were closing and said they couldn't help me. I called Straight Shot and Dakota said he could squeeze me in! He removed and replaced my alternator (also finding the only available alternator for my Jeep!) and I'm pretty sure he stayed open late and dropped what he'd been working on to take my car in. He also gave me some advice on what needs to be repaired next in my engine. I can't say enough nice things about this shop, one of the best I've been to in the country! My kids call this the "magical miracle mechanic". He totally saved us in our travels on a Friday night after hours. He was able to find the problem and fix it and get us back on the road. Totally knowledgeable, totally kind, and totally skilled in what he does.

I dropped off my vehicle on Tuesday June 15th at 730 am. First off I had to call the shop on the status of my vehicle. It was a few days with out any update from them. I spoke with Dakota and stated he found the AC issue. Friday June 18th Dakota informed me that he would let me know on when he will receive the refrigerant for my vehicle. I told him it was important as I needed to make arrangements to be with out a vehicle over the weekend to call me before this afternoon. I called twice and left a voice mail on Friday. I never received a call or a call back. On Monday I called the shop and I spoke with the secretary. She informed me that the car was ready for pick up. I informed her I would get there after work at 630. She stated a mechanic will be there after hours for me and it wasn't a issue. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle a heavy-set Mechanic named Greg was very unprofessional and rude. I stated I was there to pick up my vehicle. He asked me if I was paying card or cash. I said card and he said he couldn't process debit card payments after hours. I then told him I also have cash he then proceeded to tell me he didn't know how to process payments. I have never received such poor customer service. I always support local businesses however this is one I will never take my vehicles to. Absolutely my favorite place in town to entrust all my mechanical needs. Highly experienced mechanics, and I have yet to see something they cannot fix! Also when youre on a budget they can tell you only what you need, and what can wait! Won't try to scam you on extra work thats unnecessary at the time. Will be straight forward with you, and get the job done. No disappointments and no issues. Great guys, id trust them with every single one of my vehicles!!

Wonderful, friendly service for a reasonable price. I was kept in the loop when things took a bit longer than expected (that happens with old vehicles) and could pick it up around work hours.Would recommend and will return.
