My dad lived in Tensed, Idaho, back in the 40's . This store has been around since before that. Variety of groceries. Informative owner. Helpful friendly

Nothing I like more than needing to go to the store. I have Made it my mission to find a reason to say that the big store is a joke. But the jokes on me........I have never been to a back road little store that had what I need every time. For such a little store, they sure have a big inventory.. The Big Store is simply amazing and so are the owners.Chris and his family are enjoyable to be around. And his wife now runs the Post Office. Big part of the local community thats for sure. With being 60 miles away from surrounding cities I sure don't feel that way when I go to the The Big Store.. Chris always making sure he has everything the locals need in there day to day life. "YOU WIN FOR NOW BIG STORE" ....butI will update my review when the store doesn't have what I need. (If that ever happens lol.....) thank you guys for being there when I needed you the most. And they have free coffee! Wow. Can't beat that at all. The one stop shop is what they need to be called.I hope my review helps as much as The Big Store helps me. If I could give 10 stars I would so 5 is just gonna have to work......Douglas C.

The Big store has very friendly employees. I found a lot of good munchies to eat during Tensed's fireworks show.

The big store in Tennessee has came a long way they now have gas pumps you should go check it out on 95 highway 95 it's a small little town but great customer service if they have Diesel and they have fuel and in the morning they have free coffee thank you for being there

I first would like to thank the young couple who purchased the store for moving into our tiny little town. You have updated and made the store current, up to date and always have great ideas for the community. So even though late, welcome to Tensed. I have found you all to be friendly, helpful and just good people and you have adorable kids.I would also like to address the issue with the lady and the use of the outdoor toilet. I am sure she does not know the circumstances and why the situation is as it is. First may I say that there was a public rest area 8 miles south and one 13 miles north.We have had a public rest room in the park but it is out of commission more than it is used due to the treatment from the public. We are currently trying to once again get it fixed but it will cost in the thousands. We did have a port a potty for about a year in the park but they removed it and refused to bring any more due to the condition and the filth in the unit. The owner said that he had never seen anything like it and actually had to replace the unit twice and would not do it any more.The Big Store was turned down at least twice by the port a potty companies because it would be in Tensed. So in order to even have one brought it had to be guaranteed that it would be locked and cared for or it would be removed. You cannot expect a small just starting business to completely foot the bill for a service to their customers.It is interesting how much anger this caused. In the past every department store and service station had machine on their doors to pay in order to open.These folks are good people trying to help out this little town and had to do what had to be done.

Guy followed me around like I was a thief !! Turns out this place is so freakin' overpriced They're the ones that are thieves.Won't return

I wish I could put negative stars on this review to be honest! Giving this place 1 star is way too good for them. Absolutely rude people with no comprehension of the meaning of customer service! They charge you to use their gross porta-potty, which I would be more understanding about if they weren't so rude & inconsistent about it. Had a friend say they went in, bought a couple items already, THEN went back & asked for the bathroom key & they demanded a fee for it even though they'd already bought things from the store. I was told they didn't have a functioning bathroom whatsoever in the building when I asked about the bathroom situation. If this really is the case then they're preparing your food without the use of a washing station. Enjoy! Disgusting.

Excellent selection and good job staying open while updating. I tried the street taco special one day and they were fantastic. Thank you for carrying non-dairy milk. Saves me a drive to another town.

We were in from Los Angeles working with the Tribal School. My team of MAPP actors where hungry we popped into The Big Store and ordered four Burgers and two turkey wraps. The order was filled quickly. The food was fresh and delicious. So glad you are there now and we know about your establishment for our next trip out.

Way too high priced!Most stuff is bought from $ store and sold for about $3. Another great portion of stuff, like candy, is from Winco.I get needing to make a living but this just makes locals go elsewhere and they lose out on business.

Idk where the original 2 star rating came from. Fat fingers or my 9 y/o messing around on my phone. I love having this little grocery store so close being so far from everything. Almost always come thru in a pinch.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. Also noted below, the owner starts a smear campaign and posts pictures of you in the store if you leave a bad review. MAYBE YOU WOULDNT GET BAD REVIEWS IF YOU ACTED KINDLY TO PAYING CUSTOMERS

Nice store friendly service. Great for last minute munchies and a beverage. They also have a variety of other household items and tools for repairs. A little one stop for all your needs.

Just to clarify... having a proper bathroom facility at a convenience store is NOT a "service"... it's a courtesy. One that should be provided to current AND possible future customers at NO COST. If you demand they purchase something BEFORE they use the bathroom, you are charging them, which is unethical and just rude. I don't care why the Big Store has a porta john instead of a REAL bathroom, the point is, why don't their customers rate a REAL bathroom where you can wash your hands???Also: BEWARE of leaving a poor review of this place, owner will track you down on Facebook chat and create a smear campaign, claiming you lied and threatens to put your photo from his video camera on his "Wall of Shame." Oh...and don't expect to be able to use the outdoor porta potty without purchasing something first, or you'll be slandered and chased out of his building. Just look at what he said about the dude that bought a hotdog with hair on it... he's clearly unhinged. And store owner...that guy...Jeff Engle...he's not my husband, he's my brother and you are a liar! I NEVER promised to buy anything from your store, I was treated so horribly by your wife who had NO COMPASSION for someone with a medical condition and insisted I hand over my license just to use the porta john... I saw NO children present either... you lie like a RUG. I asked nicely to use the bathroom, then begged to use your crummy outside toilet, THEN and only THEN did I threaten to pee on your floor after your RUDE wife made me feel like a common criminal for needing to relieve myself. This is getting passed around mister, and I hope everyone reads it!Dear Store owner at the Big Store: How can you possibly afford to sue my brother for slander (of which by the way is impossible since he didn't say a word that was slanderous, unlike YOU who lied about my character more than once)... anyway, back to how you can't even afford a decent bathroom at your facility, let alone a lawyer? And next time you say you've called the police... you may want to actually DO IT. I called them too...and they not only said you didn't report anything, but that refusing to allow people to use your nasty porta potty without purchasing something first is pretty lame.

We love stopping here. Travel through weekly. Don't get to stop in as much anymore, but always a warm welcome, and that's worth the stop! Know what I mean? #bringbacktheREDLINES

I love comeing into this little big store the staff is friendly and there prices are more then reasonable.This store is a gem to visit and try a hamburger if your hungry did I mention thay have a diner/dellie.

Well its a store. If ya need a beverage, a snack or toiletries your in luck. If your expecting a clean friendly environment this ain't the place for you.

No place to park they have u haul trucks and trailers all over around the store and have Circle H Tavern parking area blocked off.
