We were roadtripping through and were due for an oil change on our new truck, after stopping and asking in a few towns with no luck we stopped at straight forward auto and they got us in and out within 20 minutes. Super helpful and nice people and paid less than we were expecting. Can't recommend enough!

While visiting the area, AC compressor went out on our minivan during a heat advisory. They got our car in within a couple days (while we were at the lake) and were very easy to work with. Very highly recommend! My dad knows a lot of mechanics since he's a trucker, and these guys are the best mechanics within 500 a mile radius.

Gary and Marilyn run a fantastic shop and are honest. Gary will always do his best to make sure your vehicle runs well and the prices are affordable. Their honest approach means you can trust you're never going to be told you need parts you don't need just to meet a quota. I've seen them save people thousands of dollars when they come to them for a second quote. They're our go to for all of vehicle maintenance and repairs.You won't be disappointed giving them your business.

These guys are top notch. My parents had their motorhome break down on them as they were driving towards Soda Springs. Straight Forward Auto Service came to where they were broke down and towed my parents motor home to their shop. The belt to their water pump and alternator had broke. The cause wasn t apparent at first, but they figured out that the alternator (which had been replaced the prior year), had the wrong pulley on it. We were so impressed with the way we were treated, and for their ability to get to the problem so quickly. As my parents said, Besides being such good mechanics, we were just impressed with their kindness and concern for getting us back in the road. I highly recommend them.

I came in first thing in the morning and they took care of me right away. I needed radiator hoses but they were in Pocatello, not in stock. They had a guy from NAPA come with the hoses. He was there within an hour. I was very very impressed with the service here and they did a very good job with everything.

Great people, very fair labor costs. Put a junkyard transmission in my car, and when it was faulty(parts only warranty), they put another one in free of cost 2 weeks later. Other minor problems were addressed, and I had my car back before the end of the day!

Heard a strange scraping sound coming out of the engine case of my old 88 Chevy Suburbann on the way out of the mountains near Lava Hot Springs. Checked in with a mechanic there & he said it was probably the alternator, but he said there were no parts stores in town, and either I'd have to go back to Pocatello or head 20-some miles east to Soda Springs, as they had a couple of parts stores there. Long story short, it was the alternator and neither of the stores had the part. I was directed to this repair shop, and they got NAPA out of Pocatello to bring the part, plus a radiator cap that was leaking. They got me fixed up, including fixing a broken adjustor on my headlight, in a little over two hours at a very reasonable price, especially considering I was in a jam in a place I'd never been before. The people at the shop were friendly, honest, & capable, plus I got to see the geyser, and eat a good meal down the street at the diner. If you need automotive work done, these are the folks to turn to in Soda Springs.

On our way to the Yetons, our check auto light went on. We stopped at an auto parts store and the man there highly recommended this shop. They quickly checked the code and told us what was the problem. Quick service and a very nice guy.

Travelling through and had an issue with our van. They didn't have time to fixed the problem but narrowed it down and came up with a temporary solution to keep us moving until we got it sorted. As the issue wasn't fixed they didn't charge us. Honest guys.

These mechanics were really great. We were on a road trip and broke down right outside Soda Springs and they were able to fix our car and get us on the road again asap even working a few hours after closing.
