Other Key facilities referred me here when they couldn t do the key and lock job. The owner has been in the business forever and has the newest equipment. Most reliable and personable work with excellent prices. Highly recommended!

Our new home had an odd European front door lock made by ASSA. The previous homeowner advised me that North Idaho Lock and Key were the only locksmith that had the ability to cut copies of the strange key. After contacting them I forwarded photos and measurements and then dropped one of my keys off with them. A couple of days later they advised me that they could not even obtain key blanks, and it looked like I would have to replace the entire front door. This would have been a shame. After some research they offered to see if Schlage offered a compatible key cylinder. Long story short, the custom Schlage cylinder worked perfectly, and we did not have to replace the door. It took some time, as the cylinder had to be made and shipped. Once it arrived they keyed it while I waited, and I was able to install it without having to incur a charge for a home visit. I am extremely impressed with the effort and time that they invested in helping me with a viable solution.

Chris is so awesome! I was having roomate issues, and lost my key for my car, and needed a key Asap, and he was willing to come help me out with it so I could get my car out of it's spot, and he was fast and friendly! I highly recommend!

I popped into North Idaho lock and key this afternoon and had the pleasure of meeting Chris Coggin, who greeted me with a smile, changed out my lock, and made extra keys for me in about 5 minutes at a price less than anyone else in town. I couldn't be happier! Thanks Chris!

It was 11/24/21, the day before Thanksgiving. Our truck key broke in the ignition. Couldn t start the truck to drive it. Great...I called 6+ Locksmith companies, and none could help for at least 5-7 days & some wouldn t even drive to my house (out of the service area by a few miles)Chris however, answered right away this morning when I called him & he was very knowledgeable.We decided to tow the truck to the shop, to save some money, not knowing how much it was going to cost to fix the ignition & key.I sent Chris some pics of the ignition & he told me he was confident he could fix it without damaging the ignition. Good news!The tow truck company dropped off the truck at his shop.About 2 hours later he calls, and says he has good news! He was able to get it out & make a copy of the key without having to get codes for the key..I am SO relieved. I m thinking it s still going to be at least a few hundred dollars... he says your total is $91. WHAT!?! I say, well let s make a couple extra keys then ($25 each!) for chipped keys!How affordable!!! I couldn t believe it.Thank you so much Chris for the fast, affordable, quality service today!We will be back if we ever need your help again!Marissa & Josh

Chris is your guy in a pinch! On a late Friday night Chris was the only professional to answer and try to help us in our time of need. He was willing to drive over 50 miles to copy a key for our vehicle. Chris is responsive, a problem solver and willing to go the extra Mile for his customers. Cannot recommend his service enough!

We spent a good chunk of our evening in Sandpoint doing our best to get into our car with the keys locked inside. After trying for a good hour we called and within 30 minutes help arrived. Took him all of maybe 1 minute to get in and was polite and professional as well. Highly recommend you give Chris a call before you scrape up your car like we did.Service: Car lockouts

Best lock and key place in sandpoint, extremely kind and professional smiths, Very reasonably priced and fast at their work. Have personally had them service cars, trailers and safes will continue to use them for my lock and key needs. Highly recommend.

Chris at North Idaho Lock and Key is so willing to help and very accommodating. I lost my keys on the mountain at Schweitzer and Chris happily answered my call at 9pm on the Saturday right after Christmas. He was knowledgeable, professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help with keys.

I was extremely pleased with North Idaho Lock and Key. Professional, fast, and knowledgeable. I appreciated that they were upfront with pricing, stuck to their quote, and required my identification, as well as proof that I own my car. Great asset to Sandpoint.

Just had a whole house and a garage re-keyed.*Dave called and confirmed our appointment this morning.*Isaiah showed on time!*He got right to work.(No time wasted)*I received a call when he was finished.In short, North Idaho Lock and Key did the job they told me they would do, and they did it quickly. Sunday, July 19, 2020, Priest Lake ID. The growing realization that the keys are locked in the car trunk . I call AAA. No locksmith in the area under AAA contract. I call North Idaho Lock and Key. Chris answers on the first ring. I explain the situation. He says he can do it. It will take an hour and a half to pull the necessary equipment together and drive over from Sandpoint. He is there within an hour. Within 15 minutes, he has fashioned a key that unlocks the trunk. The keys are there. Had they not been, he had a plan B - fabricate an ignition key. A real professional when I most needed one.

Called them when I got locked out of my apartment one day but then changed my mind and decided to crawl onto my roof with a ladder to get in. He stopped by to offer his services in holding the ladder! Amazing service even when I change my mind! Awesome place!

When a business is this genuine, I feel like I need to tell the world!! I highly recommend. I am a lock-out regular: I lock myself out of my apartment, car, office, you name it. I can ALWAYS rely on North Idaho Lock and Key to help me out. Not only that, but they try so hard to keep me from locking myself out in the future. Key duplicates, key hideaways, and their suggestions really show that they pay attention. I would give an example, but then you would know where my hideakey is ON MY CAR! Great value, great service. Love'em.Thank you guys! YOU ROCK!!!
