Chris is honest guy and will explain what's going on. Fair prices,no upsale and very competent.I will go to no other Auto mechanic for work on my Subaru Outback.

Chris and Tracy are amazing people running a tight ship. Chris is incredibly busy, and always responds to me and gives me the best deal on both of my vehicles. I trust no one else. Ladies if you re nervous, ask lots of questions he and especially Tracy his knowledgeable GM will help you. She has been able to answer my questions without bothering Chris many times. But don t take too much of her time, they are both crazy busy! This place is amazing and incredibly helpful. Chris is a shockingly fast and skilled mechanic - Way above and beyond any other mechanics I ve worked with in my 40 years lifetime of treating my cars like a rotten mancouch, every car.Well done Sandpoint business owner!!! I gave them no limit!I just wanted the truck gone through and replace anything that needed it, along with a compression test and tune up. I had a 6 week wait(I don't mind for good quality, but not the case here) and in that time I had called several times, no answer and I had left several messages with no return phone calls, just to be told on the day of my appointment that they accidentally erased them...all of them, I thought? A few days after I picked up my truck, a family member called for an appointment, agin no answer, they also left a message to never get a return phone call as well! 4 days after I picked up the truck I took it to an auto body place to have other work done, just to find out I needed them to replace obvious things that didn't get done at D&Z, plus a few things they are not comfortable doing, along with a oil leak from somewhere while sitting in the paint booth. Now I am looking for a different mechanic to finish the job correctly with good quality work! I am very disappointed and so was my auto body shop with the work done and not done knowing there wasn't a limit to get my truck mechanically sound!Services: Auto engine tuning, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Chris takes the time to explain what is wrong with your vehicle. He will never try to sell you on anything you don't need. He always tells you if work needs to be done right away or if it can wait and he gives you price options on remanufactured and new parts and helps you decide which is the best. I've been going to him for years for my auto service needs. He's a great guy and knowledgeable mechanic.

Chris is the only O'reilly's certified mechanic in a 50 mile radius of Sandpoint. Had an issue with a water pump that was under warranty from a shop in another state. He scheduled me for an appointment, installed new part and made a thorough check of coolant system in quick order at no cost to me.Very personable and trustworthy!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had an alternator replaced, Chris is awesome! Fast service and reasonably priced. Needed on short notice, and D & Z was able to accommodate with parts in stock. Great job Chris!

Knowledgeable and fair D&Z does great work. As someone who has mechanical expirence myself I will have to say Chris is one of the few shops in Sandpoint I feel comfortable having my own vehicle worked on by.

Excellent service - and treats you right! Performs honest work and doesn't look to inflate your bill with unnecessary repairs like other shops sadly have been caught doing. Like having a Brother in the auto repair business. Has always exceeded my expectations. Thanks!
