These guys are awesome! Had a problem with my 4wd. Thought it would be expensive. Very pleasantly surprised! They were booked but Curtis squeezed me in. Highly reccomend!

Our car started puttering as we passed through Sandpoint on the tail end of a cross-country road trip... at 4pm on a Friday two states from home! We were sure we'd be stuck scrambling for lodging, with 3 kids in tow, in a booked-up town until Monday, but these guys stepped up big time. They diagnosed the problem (bad throttle body), got the replacement part, and had us back on the road an hour later. Seriously saved the day (and the weekend, and hundreds of dollars in lodging fees). We're so grateful!!!

Curtis at Grimm Brothers always has a trusting place in my heart. He's almost like a father figure to me and the fact that he doesn't try to get more money out of me by saying there are extra problems with my vehicle. He actually goes above and beyond to get me out of there quickly and at a decent shop price. He also is very knowledgeable with all of my issues that I've had with the different vehicles I've driven, but if he feels that an issue that I have with a vehicle will be better helped with someone else in town. He will recommend it like my transmission but every other problem I've had he has been able to fix and I've had no issues with it afterwards.

The owner of Grimm Brothers is a really great guy who is very professional and honest. His mechanics who he has many of our professional as well and highly experienced in Auto and Truck Repair. His prices are fair and they get the job done properly the first time. I'm very happy with the estimates that I've been given and would trust them for any work on any of my vehicles and would take my vehicle there before I took it anywhere else. Honesty fairness and professionalism is what Grimm Brothers is about and I really trust them to do any and all mechanical work that I've Ever Needed

My car stopped on me.... Although they couldn't get me in right away... When my appt time came they figured it out and fixed it. My mind of course went to the worst scernio but they found it to be simple and my bill was much less than what I thought it would be. I will always call them first. Thanks guys.

They were very thorough in their explanation to me of the problem. They told me how they would fix it and remedy the core issue that caused the problem. They came in roughly 20% below what they quoted me, and that included a few other services on top of the reason the vehicle was there. The only issue I had was communication could be a little better. This seems to be an industry-wide issue. It's no fun taking your car into someone and not knowing when you'll hear back from them. I don't know how that gets remedied, but some sort of periodic update would be nice. But because that is how auto repair/paint shops work, I'm not going to hold it against them.

Pat Miles and Curtis took me in immediately and fixed my death wobble so n my Ford F-350. Curtis has never underestimated a job for me and we have taken all our cars there for 15 years. He usually comes in a little lower than the estimate. He is honest and looks for inexpensive ways to fix older cars. We are very happy with Grimm!

Basically, if you have car or truck issues, go here. Curtis and his staff are straight to the issue with great customer service. I just went in for the third time (over series of 2 years) since I lived in sagle and they have fixed everyone of my Vehicles mechanical issues before their estimated finishing date.also do quite a bit of extensive research before I bring vehicles in on every issue I've ever had. 100% without fail, Curtis found out what my problem was before I could give my customer spiel.Kind, knowledgeable and quick. Will go back Everytime.

Curtis and his team of mechanics are not only great at what they do, they get enthusiastic about interesting jobs. My dear '91 Montero needed an engine swap and they meticulously worked at it until it was running perfectly! They know what they're doing, are very fair, and even took time to talk with me, a young woman, about mechanics.I'll entrust my car(s) to these guys for any work anytime! :-)

Excellent service! Very honest and up front about cost and timeframe. Our truck needed a lot of work done and they did it well. Very hard to find a mechanic like this anymore. Had a 400lbs wood chipper rotating assembly with three bolts I could not remove. First I went to a machinist, after a month of being pushed back, I went to Lou's Welding in Sagle. He said he tried but could not do it. Then I pulled into Grimm Brothers. He said "I've never tried that. Let me see what I can do, at least I can tell the next guy, no I can't do that". Two hours later I got a message telling me he was done. Best $200 I have ever spent. Wish I would have gone a month ago.Service: Engine repair
