Rick always does an awesome job. Rates are very reasonable. I've always found him to be honest and not charge me for extras that don't need to be done. Absolutely the best in the area, but there is usually a week or two wait time because he does such superior work and the price is right. I am hesitant to even leave this review as I don't want him to get any busier. I have an older car 1995 and he's always able to fix it but is just as good with newer models.

Very Reasonable and Quick to respond - Let us drop off after hours and didn t overcharge us. Originally Inspected our oil leak for a very small fee and we gave him the go ahead to do the repairs. He had a solid estimated price for us before he started the repairs. Great to communicate with - highly recommend dealing with his local shop than a franchise trying to price gouge.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Mr. Hill went above and beyond to give us the best service at the most affordable price he could. He immediately identified the problem, have us options to solve it, and got to work. I will happily return here for any future auto repairs I stand in need of.

Rick literally saved our weekend as we were dropping our son off at BYU-I. I stumbled upon his business as a recommendation from Taylor Chevrolet. Rick towed my son s truck to his shop and had it running by the end of the day. Very knowledgeable, honest and fair priced. Highly recommended!

This shop is the bomb! Mr. Hill really saved our Bacon! We had a fuel pump fail in our truck 100 miles West of Rexburg. We got towed back into Rexburg that evening along with our travel trailer. Did some research early the next morning and decided to go with this business because he provided towing and has extensive experience with GM vehicles. He's also a passionate car guy. He has a lot of his own vehicles that we works on.When I reached him that morning he came right out, picked up our truck, towed it back to his shop and had a new fuel pump in it before the day was out. We were back on the road the next day without any issues. He has clean well lit and organized shop. I highly recommend this gentleman for automotive or transmission repair.

Rick is an amazing mechanic and really knows his stuff. He s very nice, honest and easy to deal with. I now recommend everyone to go to him to get work done. I had an issue with a misfire on my truck and after replacing plugs and some coils and still having the misfire I ll be honest I though to take it somewhere else which I did and I regretted going anywhere else. The other mechanic shop had me replacing all kinds of things that didn t really need replaced because it turned out I actually needed a new motor. I was in a tough spot with moving out of state in a week and so I was desperate to get it fixed soon. I then went back to Rick and told him my situation with spending all that money on it and moving soon. He understood my situation and fixed my truck in a matter of a couple days. In fact the motor arrived on Thursday and the truck was fixed by Friday morning. I really feel like he went above and beyond any of my expectations and I am grateful for that. He was also cheaper that any other place around. Overall my experience was great at Over The Hill Auto with Rick. Don t waste your time and money at other places like I did, just go the Rick for your auto repair needs.

We broke down and we where from out of state (WA) which is 12hrs from home. We took our Dodge diesel in to him to diagnose the problem, he discovered we had a bad injector, we ordered all the parts for him to do the repair, we left it with him on a Monday, he called us Wednesday morning and told us it was done and ready to be picked up. Rick was super nice and very honest, I would recommend him to anyone. He was a life saver for us. Thank You Rick

Rick is awesome! Took my Corolla there yesterday and they did an in-depth diagnostic. They were able to find the problem immediately. Super nice and helpful people. Only mechanic I will trust.

Hands down best mechanic in town. Rick was willing to help me with my 300zx after almost every other shop in town turned me away. Over the Hill Auto is proof that there are still honest mechanics out there.

Best mechanic I've ever known. I've had to visit Rexburg twice in the last year. Both times I had car problems and Rick was able to fix the issues and get me back on the road faster than I expected and at a fair price.

Over The Hill Auto is the only place in town I will take our cars. Rick has done brakes and sensors on our Chevy Traiblazer, brakes on my Nissan Altima, suspension and paint work on our Mustang, and even helped with the timing on my VW beach buggy. It doesn t matter what kind of car or truck you have he can get running like it should. If you want a car guy you can trust at fair prices, Over The Hill Auto is the place to go.

Rick is fast and fair. He s helped me a couple of times get in and out fast and he knows EXACTLY what he s doing. Don t know too many men that work as hard as Rick. Give him a try, you won t be disappointed.

Had an appointment for 9:00 this morning and I showed up and he said he didn t know I was coming because his wife never told him and I called 5 more places and couldn t get in. I needed it done today because my old truck was going to leave town today to get a paint job. He never even apologized.

Very rude I needed to use the restroom and was told no. And my friend was going to have work done on his car and Mr Hill back out of the agreement I would recommend not to use hill automotive to any one he word means nothing.
