My wife and I dropped our car off asking to check the coolant problem and if there is a wheel bearing problem. He was able to pinpoint the problem of our car. He does his best to give you the best price as he knows we have other bills to pay.Over all 5/5 would recommend.

The mechanics were super friendly and when things went wrong with my repairs they were understanding and gave me a fair price for the repairs. A complete shout out for there service and friendliness!!! They did a lot more than other mechanics would usually do and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Amazing experience! We needed a wheel bearing replacement and looked into about 30 other repair shops in the area and McRae offered the repair at the best price. They were willing to work with us on price for both parts and labor. They are professional and it was a smooth and quick fix, they even finished a few hours faster than we expected. We'll be back!

Took my truck to three different mechanics, they all told me I had to go to the dealer, so I took it to the dealer and they said $4k to replace the entire wiring harness because 5 wires were cut to my transfer case causing my 4WD to not engage. These guys had it fixed in 45 minutes at a very minimal cost AND even delivered the truck to my house!I'm not going anywhere but McRae Auto Repair for any auto issues! Honest, dependable and fast! Pretty much the exact opposite of any other mechanic experience I've ever had. I can't recommend them enough! Best Auto Repair experience in my 54 years of existence.I can't recommend these guys enough! A good honest mechanic is hard to find. I found mine!

I FINALLY got my car back recently. After 10 MONTHS!! He originally told me 2-3 weeks. He was rude and had almost no communication with me. I had to text him constantly to get any information about my car. He kept calling me snarky and immature for wanting my car back. He REFUSED to let me come get things I needed from my car. I found out that he had my car at his second shop that I didn't know he had. I don't even know where that shop is. He wouldn't tell me where my car has been! When I went to get it from him, he was rude and disrespectful. He won't give you updates unless you beg him and he will take longer than he says he will.

Good, honest gentleman. Went to him thinking I cracked my wiper fluid reservoir and he took apart my car and found out it was just a piece loose at the top of the reservoir that needed to be put back on more securely. Was gonna not charge anything and send me on my way even after spending all that time tearing apart my car. Paid him anyways for his hard work. Definitely will be going to him again for any future repairs.

I decided to take a stab at fixing my Honda engine on my auger when I couldn t get it to start. After I stripped the spark plug threads I decided small engine repair wasn t for me. Luckily McRae repair fixed it up for me quickly and at a fair price. Save yourself the trouble and just take it to McRae.

These guys are awesome.We are from Canada and we experience a brake problem while visiting the area around Yellowstone.We called McCrae Repair who were able to get us in within 3 hours and had us on our way within 5 hours.Kind, respectful and honest.They are real mechanics (not just part changers) who spotted and corrected some mistakes made by previous mechanics.All this at a reasonable cost.Many thanks to Brian and Jacob.Service: Brakes

He has been amazing answering questions about our car and when we have had to leave it for a period of time we were able to get stuff out and he gives updates when he has them. He also always trys to find the best deal possible

Dropped off my car for bearings , rod and bushings, took over 2 weeks , failed to remove a bolt that I paid another mechanic 60$ to remove it in about 60 seconds . I get my car back & after removing my entire drum , he failed to adjust breaks , bolt down the abs ring , failed to plug and bolt my abs sensor back, bent my back disk and cracked the drum , I called for warranty work since it s been less then a day since it left his shop, he cussed me out and then hung up on me , saying he is busy with other cars. Stay away, super unprofessional and will screw up your car and cuss you out when you try to call to see if he will fix the things he broke within 12 hours so now I m stuck with having to replace pads that were brand new, bearings he just put in yesterday , the entire knuckle because he bent it badly , and the drum, the components he failed to adjust are all shot . Also wants cash payments so he doesn t have to pay state and income tax . Shady dude . I read previous reviews and that s why I took to him, but clearly they are fake reviewsService: Steering & suspension repair

Brian was very helpful and kind! He drove my kids and I home after I dropped my car off. He drove it back home for me! He was very honest and didn t charge for diagnostics. Best place around!

VERY SATIFIED!!!! We broke down several time in 24 hours. Our only vehicle we have, and needed a way to get around for that next week. We called them up and immediately were assisted by two friendly gentlemen. (NOTE: Most other shopes were flat out closed.) They quoted us the cost of work before they started. Very reasonable cost. And had the car back to us same day. They replace our alternator and power steering pump. If you need a fix, I highly recommend going to them.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Battery

TL;DR. Best value mechanic around. Very service oriented, and incredible pricing.We had a friend recommend this shop, I now owe them big time. Brian was great to work with. He did diagnostic for us and gave us estimates on what actually needed to be done. He was incredibly through, and was kind enough to even pick up my car from my work. To take to his shop.I will be going back here for all of my vehicle maintenance needs. We already have it planned to change out the heater core in our car, as his estimate was half as much as Point S, and he is great to work with.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This guy is the best kind of mechanic. I wish we were local so we could always come here. We took a family vacation to Yellowstone and managed to break a wheel bearing (super scary) while in the park. We made it back to town and he was able to help us ASAP. His price was fair and he didn't try to upsell. This is a family business with the owner and his sons, and I would MUCH rather give my money to a family run business than a large company. Would recommend to anyone, local or otherwise.

Brian is the most honest and genuine mechanic I have ever had! He is reachable and works with you and your schedule. He is kind and knows what he is doing. He saved me from spending way more at a big name auto shop. He communicates with you so you know what is happening and he won t pull the wool over your eyes. We live full time on the road and had a major coolant leak. We ended up needing a water pump and timing belt replacement. Brian was able to get us in on a Saturday and even when the job got more complicated than expected, he and his sons worked late into the night to get us back on the road. All around good people!

So, my husband and I were down bad to get our car fixed because we have to drive to work, so we were recommended this shop by a church leader. I was intrigued because they will come to your house if your car won't start. Our alternator was out so driving to the shop was out of the question. He came by with his guys and they were able to load up the car, take it to their shop, drop in a new alternator, and then return the car the same day. Pretty solid service if you ask me :)Service: Battery

Had an awesome experience with Brian. He was honest and fair in his prices and even dropped my car off to me after so I didnt have to find a ride. He also power washed under the hood and made the car look like new again. Felt like I had a buddy that knew about cars.Car was in and out in a day unlike the other shops that were backed up for a week. So grateful for his ability to help out those that don't have a huge budget for car repairs. Would definitely reccommend.

I had two vehicles breakdown on me within 24 hours. I am dependent on my vehicle for my employment, and I was desperate. Bryan came to my house and fixed one of the vehicles in the driveway. He was truly an answer to prayers and his fees were very reasonable.Bonus: Bryan was very personable and on top of that he laughed at my dad jokes.

Really nice and super helpful in diagnosing our issues with my car and got it to start and delivered to our house. Good pricing too. Wasn t trying to rip off. Some lights in the dash still weren t working though after we told them about the problem earlier but honestly such a huge load off just getting my car to run and great customer service.

I would refer this company to family and friends. They are really nice people and got the car done sooner then I was quoted. I will be using this company alot more for any mechanical problem that I can't do myself. And they are really nice and outgoing people. And they are reasonably priced.

I called them and they came in 30 min. They towed, ran diagnostics, and tested my trucks electrical systems all for an minimal fee. Afterwards, they delivered my truck back and within 24 hrs of the initial call. This is the best mechanic that I know in all Idaho. Brian was awesome! Had an issue working on my car in my garage. He came to our place with a bag of tools and a great attitude and we worked all night until we fixed it. Came over the next day to make sure it was still working well and to fix a coolant leak. And then he called me a few days later to check up on me. Highly recommend, great prices, and great customer service!
