Nothing was pushed onto me. Right off the bat, I could tell the manager, Chris, did his homework on my car and my issue. He asked clarifying questions that helped to pinpoint what I wanted done to my car. He never invalidated my claims or shot me down. He was upfront about pricing and even offered to call if anything came up they needed to fix.The service was great, too! I ve never taken my car to a shop that takes as great care of it and provides me with as much feedback and detail as this one. Thanks to the relatively affordable diagnostics test, I now know exactly what is wrong with my car.Take your car here if you also hate expensive, unreliable, and abrasive mechanic experiences.

Charged me 160 for diagnostics and told me what I already knew. Tried to charge me over 1000 for what I ended up doing myself plus more. I changed filters, a coil pack, and all six spark plugs for less than 200. Based on the other reviews, it seems as if they are dishonest and inconsistent with pricing. The previous owner of my truck recommended me to him, turns out he charged the previous owner only half of what he charged me for diagnostics. Not sure if he thinks I'm dumb for being a young woman or if he's wildly inconsistent with pricing. They were fast and thorough, just overpriced. Here's the top of my receipt.Brought it down a star because he denied that I was in the system. Here's my receipt >>

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We are very displeased with 0500 and beynd angry. My car was leaking steering fluid and my husband did not have time to look at it so we brought it in and they said it was the power steering pump. It cost $81 for them to inspect the car and they said it would cost around $800 to replace the pump (with a used pump) We said no thanks and did it ourselves. It only cost $150 for a new pump. It took us only a couple of minutes to figure out the pump was not the problem. There was a giant gash in the hose! But we replaced the pump anyway. They were going to charge us $800 to not even fix the problem. They charged us $81 to not even look properly at the car. They didn't even try to figure out the cause of the leak. It only cost $35 to replace the hose and fix the problem. What a rip off for not even doing your job!!!!

Diagnostic fee is a joke, doesn t cost 165+ to put a obd scanner in to read codes, I already knew what was wrong when I brought it in. I told you that it needed a new rear oxygen sensor. You told me that everyone says that and you ve only replaced two oxygen sensors ever. After the diagnostic you came back telling me what I already knew and wanted almost 900 more dollars to replace it. You also said it would cost 500 to fix the tire pressure monitors in the tires. Well, I ended up paying you 165 for nothing, went to tri state tire and got a original Honda oxygen sensor installed for 250 and 50 bucks per tire replacing the tire pressure monitoring system and programming them.Yea, I ll never visit your place again EVER.

I took an older Subaru with some weird electrical issues to 0500. I asked for the cheapest fix that was functional and safe. They were so great. Gave me exactly what I asked for and didn't try to upsell me anything. Thank you, thank you

I was traveling from Arizona to Rexburg. My windshield wiper broke just as I reached my destination. (Passenger side worked but driver side didn t). I contacted 0500 Mechanics and Chris said bring your car in today and we will look at it . I took it in and they fixed it in 5 minutes and sent me on my way! Thank you 0500 Mechanics!! I would refer you to everyone!

I have used 0500 mechanics for my work truck and my wife s personal car. They are effective at getting the diagnosis and do quality work. I appreciate the cleanliness of the shop and helpfulness of the employees.

I needed a replacement for my water pump. They gave a fair price and had it done within a couple of days. Very transparent and reliable.

Had an emergency. I was from out of tow n and Chris was very helpful and informative. Kept me up-to-date each step of the way. My car was repaired quickly and reasonably. I asked my home mechanic how much he would estimate the same job and it was very close to the same. Would recommend.

I took my car in to be looked at. Afterwards my wife went to pick it up and they charged for the diagnostic. They lied to my wife and said they told me about the fee when I dropped off the car. They did not. If they had been upfront I would not care, but they lied.

They were super helpful and were up front on how much it would cost to repair my car. I will definitely be returning for my future repairs.

I've visited other shops around town and 0500 has been very helpful and reliable, I keep going back to them because of it!Only complaint is one time we brought it in to have one of our dashboard lights looked at, they said they would let us know what was wrong before they started doing things to it, we picked it up early and found out they had already started without letting us know. They recognized their mistake though and didnt try to charge us so it worked out fine!

Don t take ur car here they don t do proper diagnostics and they still charge 160 for it lol I had an issue where my clutch was coming up slow so I brought it to them and they said they could figure it out, they replaced the slave cylinder and gave it back to me without even test driving it and it was still broken so I brought it back the same day and then they replaced the master cylinder and it still wasn t fixed so I ended up having to spend 1500 on the car for it not getting fixed and when I asked if they pressure tested the clutch line witch is how you d diagnose if there was a leak in the clutch line or cylinders his response was he didn t but he has his ways lmao but obviously his ways don t actually work cuz he was wrong twice and after getting the car back I took a look at the pedal assembly the spring was rusty so I m guessing that s most likely the issue so basically don t bring your car here unless your cool with them just parts bombing it and over charging

Was going to charge us 1200 for something we just fixed for less than 200. Nice people but very pricey. Just checking to see what was wrong was pretty pricey.

Very prompt, professional, and kind. Small town feel with an incredible knowledge of vehicles and up front knowledge of business. This is my shop. Period.

Sometimes the diagnoses can be a bit expensive because they are thorough, so if its something small and you just need someone to run a scanner you might be better off going somewhere that does a cheap or free scanner run. However, as I said they are very thorough and quality in their work and we've had very good experiences with them. We go here for most of our car repairs and they've done a great job on various things from new tires to transmission problems, and are pretty quick to communicate and give you a good timeline on when you can expect things done. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

These men are amazing! Day one got me not only the fix for my cars problem, but did a full inspection so I knew everything about my own vehicle. I wasn t pushed to purchase more than planned, and when I had any questions they were willing to help out that very minute. Great people and really care about the person just as much as the car. Haven t ever experienced customer service like this before.

I had my car diagnosed and repaired on the same day. They were fast and efficient, and communication was excellent in comparison to the many other mechanics I've been to in town. They also offer financing for services, which is a great option for a poor college student like myself. I'll be coming back here next time one of my old cars needs something.

My wife s 2011 Land Rover LR4 HSE had a coolant leak. Brought it in to 0500 and asked if they would be able to do the job. After tests and removal of some components they were able to find the issue. Two hoses were corroded and cracked off on top of the engine housing. When the issue was found 0500 contacted me and asked if I wanted to proceed with the replacement and the part was ordered. I received updates through the day of the vehicles status and was very happy with how the servicing was handled. I would take my vehicles back if needed in the future! This job would have costed me 1200$-2000$ at Land Rover or jaguar for parts and hours of labor but I payed way less than that.Notice all the bad reviews on here are illiterate individuals who can t even use proper grammar or punctuation, or cheapskates who complain about a few hundred dollars.10 out of 10 for this company from me!

Chris was great. Being from out of state but still wanting the connection to someone I could trust to take care of my students vehicles is very important to me. I met Chris, spoke to him first about the need to have someone I could trust and than about the vehicle was huge. He let me know every detail from the beginning, no hiding fees, no surprises, just honest good work.

Had an electrical issue with my A/C in my car, I booked an appointment with another auto shop and they were two weeks out, called Chris and he got me in the shop in a couple of hours and had it repaired and working again in no time and picked it up the same day. He then messaged me a few days later to make sure it was still working correctly. Seems like they really care about their customers!Service: A/C installation & repair

My wife and I took our old Cavalier here when we had our exhaust pipe fall off. I m glad we took pictures before we took it in because when they were putting the Cavalier on the lift they bent the exhaust pipe and nearly ripped it off. They tried blaming us and said we brought it in that way. We showed the owner the pictures and turned out the owner s son tried to blame us for his mistake. The owner was cool and charged us for just labor not parts. I really hope the owner s son learned a lesson from that and this isn t a common thing here.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I would not use 0500. The staff were not very kind and they were blunt and condescending to my wife. They are pricy. Diagnostics alone will cost you a big chunk of change. I had a problem with my oil pan plug and they could not find the problem, so they just replaced the nut and I still had leaking for months after; it was costly. I had to take my car to Utah to find the problem, and it was fixed for 75 cents.

They where fantastic i have had the same nosie in my van for the last 8 plus years and i have had multiple dealers to mechanic places try to fix it well one trip in to 0500 and the nosie is gone. They fixed that problem plus several more that things that needed to be done to a van with 190k miles on it and well she now feels pretty close to a new vehicle i really appreciate there knowledge and understanding and there ability to get it done in a very timely manner. If you are in need of vehicle repair and want someone honest and straightforward then 0500 is your shop. They not only told me what was wrong but showed me and what was going on. Once again a huge thank you.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment

I usually don t leave reviews, but I felt it necessary. When I brought my car in about a year ago, they replaced my coolant system. (It cost over $1,000) Less than 2 months after, it erupted in steam again. One of the brand new tubes had a hole in it. This made it so that I could not safely travel home and had to wait 6 hours for help. The other time I brought it in, they did not address my concerns with the car, essentially saying that there was nothing wrong and charged me $300 with no further information. The customer service wasn t bad. Chris was informative and called to keep me up to date, but the overall experience was expensive, stressful, and extremely frustrating when I had to replace the whole thing again because of that hole.Services: Auto water leak repair, Auto maintenance

Rewrote bottom of review WARNING Had them lube all the four bearings on my horse trailer when I got it he charged me $265 That s $60 a bearing + the two lug nuts at $10 that is crazy when everyone knows they only cost at most $2 he said they stripped out two lug nuts putting the wheels so he charged me $10 a lug nut and he didn t even get the same ones TOTALY DIFFERENT LUG NUTS. The lug nuts I had on were brand new the day before so how did he strip them out Probably used a air torque wrench this place is a rip off beware WARNING. Yes that was the time and sorry does nothing to fix what you did you should have tried to fix it 6 years ago I'm just slow putting up my reviews if you want me to rereview it's going to take you fixing the problem your mechanics made feel free to reach out to me and we will talk. He never did reach out and call That s because he knows that he is ripping the people off..
