I want to start this review by saying I have been a Les Schwab fan since I was 21 and I am now 62. Love the company and product. During my stint on the East Coast, I ordered and shipped all my truck tires from Les, go Wild Country, great tire!I have moved back to Idaho and love giving business to my home town of Rathdrum so when I got back, I started using the Rathdrum Les Schwab. It has never been great service but this last service has ended my use of this facility. I went in for a routine seasonal tire changeover and the first thing the service tech said was, you need new tires . There is still tread left on the three I got out of there with. We had to leave on the spare tire.I won t say anything I can t prove but what is true, they let my wife drive out of their shop on a flat tire, which runed it and then wanted to sell me new tires, and, a break job. They also lost 2 custom stem covers, one last fall during the changeover and the other during this service. And when asked, the manager said well, we don t have it . And the final issue, they didn t stage the tires so that you can tell the pressure in the right tire. They are not in the right station to read correctly.I will try the Hayden shop and see if it is better but if not, I will find a new organization to take my business to. Makes me sad . . . .

I've been told they changed management and it shows! Every employee ive encountered has been honest, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I want to thank Samual by name because he was patient and is truly passionate about his job. The level of customer service was above and beyond! This disabled veteran is thankful to have such a wonderful Les Schwab in his city and corporate would be wise to replicate the success of this location.

I have used these guys faithfully for the last decade and have always received excellent service. However, the Rathdrum location is a joke. First, I brought my truck in to have the back shocks replaced after one was literally hanging down. When I go to pick up my truck after making huge sacrifices in my very busy work schedule to get it there, the service guy says they replaced the front shocks and NOT the back!!! I then proceeded to wait another hour while they replaced the back shocks. Fast forward 4 months, and the same rear shock I originally went in to be replaced is now laying on my mom's driveway and is CLEARLY not a new shock. At the end of March, I took my car in to have my snow tires changed over to summer tires, and they sold me on new tires and sent me on my way. Today, I took my car into the Post Falls Les Schwab because now I have a God awful grinding sound near my front passenger side break. The guy there says my break is super hot and dangerous, and he does not recommend I drive it anymore at all as it is a safety hazard. Well unfortunately that's not an option as I have a meeting in Sandpoint I HAVE to be at. I call the Rathdrum Les Schwab to ask about my brakes and the lady that answers checks and let's me know the breaks were inspected and the front right was deemed a hazard. Thanks for the heads up guys!! So if I die today I hope my kids hire a great attorney and sue the pants off this joke of a business.

First took my daughters car in with 2 different issues. They said they fixed both and never did look at the slow leak in the front tire. This was a few years ago.Second... Just took my car for a slow leak after putting winter tires on. They said the valve stem was bad and replaced it. 2 days later my pressure sensor light goes off. Took it to Sandpoint today and they said it was the wrong valve stem they put on. That wasn't even the bad part. Called Rathdrum Les Schwab to let them know, and the guy on the phone said there are only so many valves and acted like he didn't believe more nor care. No thanks. I'll pass from now on.

I dropped off my car at 9 for tire change. All tires were on rims, just needed to be switched over. Was told it would be around 6, and that I should drop my car off in a rude tone. I waited for two hours, heard nothing. My car moved so I assumed it was being worked on. Later found out it was being staged. Left for the day and was called at 630 pm that car was ready. Left house and then was called at 650 pm to see if I was close, and if they could leave my keys in my car to close up, or lock my car and leave my keys in the gas cap area. (My car has keyless faub entry, so either way, someone could have easily took my car if the keys were left.) When I arrived, they said my sensor batteries were low and that they didn't have time to update/resync. The sensors were purchased with new tires from Les Schwab less than two years ago. Nothing was looked up or asked about. Now I have to take more time to return for the sensor light. I was not shown or told where my car was left, and it was pitch dark. Left very dissapointed and felt disrespected as previous life long customer of Les Schwab. Will be going anywhere else going forward.

Great service from these guys! Corey and Josh are very knowledgeable about the brands they sell and will go the extra mile to source products not typically sold at their shop from other vendors This is my go to wheel and tire shop and I highly recommend others to go see the difference this Les Schwab has to offer.

This experience was 5 five star rating. Purchased tires from here a few years ago, yesterday while at the mall I unfortunately ran over a screw. Brought the punctured tire to Les Schawb and was greeted with courtesy and attention, tired was fixed within the hour at no charge. Today's visit was courteous, attentive and prompt. Looking forward to my next purchase of tires. Thank you Rathdrum crew!

Bought new wheels and tires that had horrible vibration and took it back to them several times to rebalance and repeat. They finally agreed to return them. They double charged me for all the mount and balance etc, i had to buy different wheels because they sold my stock wheels and they charged me for use on the garbage tires they originally sold me... In the end, I'm paying 1400 for a 700 dollar set of tires not to mention all the time wasted. What a joke

Les Schwab is very honest. They will not sell you tires if you don't need them!

I needed the tires rotated on my motorhome and air pressure, brake inspection before heading back to CA. Marcus was very professional and efficient. I use Les Schwab for my tire needs all over the country where they are. I trust them.

The absolute worse customer service. Had 9:30 am appt, they hadn t touched it yet at 10:40 & told us they wouldn t be able to get to it for awhile yet. This is the 3rd time they haven t had time for us. We ve been long time customers of another branch of Les Schwab & had always been treated exceptionally well. I wouldn t stop at the Rathdrum branch again to have my tire pressure checked.

I stopped in for a flat tire and it was busy, they treated me like a regular customer got me in and fix my flat. The service was outstanding and the employees we're very courteous. Hands down the best experience at any tire store I've been to.

Got my breaks and rotors done here last month and heard a strange sound for the past week or so. My boyfriend finally got around to driving it and immediately knew it was my wheels. I am missing three lug nuts on my front passenger wheel and most of my lug nuts on the other tires were loose. They didn't tighten them enough. This is scary and could have caused a wreck if I didn't have my partner check on them. I'm so lucky I only drive locally because if I had taken my car on the freeway something really dangerous could have happened to me. The breaks look great and for that I'm grateful however buyers please double check the tightness of your wheels lug nuts if you go here to get your car serviced.

Fixed my flat tire and I hope it holds up since driving to Canada. It leaked slowly after the repair but they fixed it with a new valve stem when i went back. Thier a little overboard when it comes to replacing parts. Unnecessary parts are replaced many times so be careful.

Went to get a slow leak in my tire repaired. I didn't have the lug nut key to remove the existing lug locks. Not only did they have the correct size lug key to remove the locks. They sold me a key for only $8.49 They then repaired the tire for free. What a great experience.

Called Rathdrum location for an alignment. Guy that answered the phone couldn't answer a single question. So I called 2 other locations and talked to their tech's and they told me no problem, we can do what you need (2 aftermarket caster bushings, that I had in hand, needed to be installed in order to get the wheels aligned.) Showed up to the Rathdrum location with the bushings in hand and they told me they don't install after market parts. Asked the guy how can they align the wheels without the right bushings. He said that's a good question. They don't know the exact part I'd need and they don't sell the part I need. So once again, a huge fail by Les Schwab. (the last time I got an alignment there the front suspension broke rendering the car undrivable as I was pulling out of the parking space on their lot to leave)

Just had our rear brakes done on our truck to the tune of $830. It took way longer than what they quoted. When we got the truck home my husband noted the brake pedal went to the floor. Since he is used to usually doing his own brakes he knew this was abnormal and made s note to bring his truck back the next day. The next morning before he can get there, he got a call that he needed to bring truck back because they put the wrong seals in! At this point he has to take the truck back on his time. He politely asked for at least dome courtesy of a small discount to which they declined. His brakes had to be re-bled again to fix the pedal to the floor issue as well. Do yourself a favor! Stay away from this shop! Don t know what they re doing! Will charge high prices, do the job wrong, snd then you will lose work time and money they don t care! Ship local small businesses!

I have sworn by Les Schwab in general for years, but the Rathdrum store went above and beyond tonight. I was on my way home to Post Falls from Spirit Lake after dark and ran over a very fresh deer carcass. I watched my dash readout show my tire pressure immediately drop from 40 to 30 PSI and continue falling. I limped to the Rathdrum Les Schwab and arrived fifteen minutes after they had closed, just as my tire went completely flat. I asked if they could patch the flat and mount the spare by the next day, and not only did they offer to do it in 45 minutes, but they even priced out and mounted four new snow tires and had me on my way in less than an hour. I know this is peak changeover season and these guys were at the end of a long day, but they took care of me and my wife and they earned lifelong customers. A very heartfelt thank you to Corwin and the Rathdrum Les Schwab team!

I've been buying tires from les schwab for 30 years. I went in yesterday and had the worst experience! Apparently, at this store, if you are not buying what they want you to buy, you are wrong, and it will be hard to find. It took a less than 5 minutes search on Google to provide what I was looking for!Customer service lesson. Please help the customer with what they ask for and want! It's my money, my choice, not yours. If you can't help, just say so. Don't be a jerk. There's no reason for ego to get in the way!

They need to make sure that the people who answer their phones know their stuff. I explained over the phone that my car was having cooling system issues and was told to bring it in on my morning off. I brought my car in and was told by the lady at the desk that they don't do anything with cooling systems. It was a pretty big waste of time and now I will likely be without my car even longer.

Rude, arrogant staff with no desire to update you. They can't even bother to call and tell you the five minute job they said they'd do was going to get pushed off until the next day.Car is sitting on jack stands in the driveway blocking the shop and needs to be moved. If they had said they couldn't do it, I would have gone somewhere else.

My son bought some brand new Raceline rims and brand new tires online and when he got them he called and asked Les Schwab what they would charge to mount and balance them so he could put them on his new truck. They would not mount and balance them because he didn't buy them from Les Schwab. What a crock! Your a tire service establishment correct? I will never patronize your store again and neither will any of my friends or family when I tell them this story. Les Schwab use to be all about service what a joke!

Dropped in without an appointment about 15 minutes after opening for a winter tire switch over. My tires were not mounted. I was told about 1.5 hours so I elected to wait. It took 4 hours...many times longer than it has taken any other Les Schwab I ve gone to for the last 15 years. The staff was pleasant and courteous. I will continue to use Les Schwab as I have for a very long time, due to the almost universally good service, I just will not use this location again.

Took 2 ATV tires on rims had 2 new ones to mount after. 3 1/2 hrs said they were done ! Asked did you water test I m from out of town ! Parker AZ (Water test is submerging them) tires only hold 5 lbs pressure but you must inflate to 40 psi to seat then you drop them down to 5 and water test ! ATV tires are notorious for not beading! And they charged me over 68 dollars to mount 2 12 in tires called explained to receptionist and then put on hold for 5 minutes when the guy answered all he could say was bring them in ! I m 50 mi away now at 10 mpg so 70 dollars worth of gas plus they had put them on there used sale rack and priced them at 50 dollars . I specifically told the work order lady I wanted to keep 1 as spare so I paid 130 dollars and my tires are flat! Said I would never use Les Schwab again NOW I KNOW I WONT

If I could give a negative star review I sure would! I went to Les Schwab to have my snow tires taken off and the factory tire put on. I was told the time would be one and a half hours to complete the job. No problem. I left the business and came back two hours later. As I waited an additional half hour and no one calling me up I went to the front desk and asked how much longer of a wait it would be. Then the person I was speaking to said to me" we tried calling you to offer you a priced to prolong wear on your tires but you didn't answer so we never started on your car". My response: I didn't want anything else done to my tires other than what I said when I checked in. All I wanted was remove my snow tires and put my factory tires back on then balance them. You should have just done what I asked for. No apologies no anything. Then I'm told it will be an additional 45 minutes. I called George gee to schedule an appointment for the same service. Les Schwab was charging$145. George gee$69.the very same service.I told the employee that I want my tires loaded up in the back I'm not having them do the service. The lady at the front desk was rude and just walked to the back not even asking why the problem was. The employee that failed to do his job in the first place loaded my tires gets in my car and backs out quickly then hits my brakes hard enough to make a screeching sound. His hands were filthy and he got dirt and grease on the inside of my car door. This was the poorest business I've delt with when it comes to something like this. Please save yourself a stressful day and avoid doing business with them at all.!

Called to ask how much tire rotation was, they said free, I asked even if I didn't buy the tires there, they said yep. Came in and they charged me $32 because I didn't buy the tires from them. Might as well go to Walmart.

I called the other day to get the price of repairing a nail/screw infected tire; the person I spoke with said flat tires were fixed/repaired FREE as long as the problem was not in the sidewall. NEVER at any time was I told this was only if the tire came from Schwab. After getting there at 0740 and they opened at 0800 I was the first one in, it was 50 minutes later that they fixed my tire, after waiting more than 20 minutes to get my vehicle in. OK, I assumed if they were doing it for free I was not a priority, but I went back in to make sure they didn't need anything else, when I found I owed $20+ for the repair, that's when I was informed it was only Schwab tires that were free. If you charge, be UPFRONT about it ! It's only by chance I went back in, otherwise I would have driven off thinking I had a free flat fix ! ! !

I just moved in to the area. Had a trailer with a slow leak on a tire. Brendon who serviced my trailer went over the entire vehicle, found 2 bad value stems, torqued down the remaining wheels and the big surprise was he said zero charge. These people will be my tire store for life. Thanks Brayden

I made an appt at 2pm for new brakes on my truck. Dropped the rig off at 930am and headed out for the day. Got a call at 3:15 telling me I needed new rotors all the way around...$1800!!! I don't have an issue getting new rotors if I need them... Just don't like that huge price dropped on me unexpectedly. My issue is that this very truck has been to this same Les Schwab center 3 times in the last 10 months for over $4000 of work and ALL 3 times I've asked them to check the brakes. Never once did they tell me I would need new rotors. I'm pretty sure they didn't get worn out in that 10 months and any major wear would have been visible in an accurate inspection.Their website specifically says that when they inspect brakes, they inspect the ENTIRE brake system. Aren't rotors part of that system? Then when my husband questions them about this, the guy literally says they don't check the rotors. Hello!!! Really. Then the guy back peddled and even admitted he'd worked on this truck before! Again 3 times I've had the brakes checked. They even told me the last time this spring that they were at 25%. Why then didn't they look at the rotors so I could have been prepared for a huge bill and would have budgeted appropriately. Makes me worry about other aspects of their work. I've been a Les Schwab customer since 1993. But this center is lacking in something. Very disappointed.
