I like to do my own car repairs whenever possible, but sometimes I don't have the equipment to do so. I metJamie today, forgive me if I spelled your name wrong, to help me take care of removing/installing some ball joints. He is exemplary in his talents and it was refreshing to find someone who takes pride in what he does. I will be going to him for all my future car projects I can't handle on my own. Excellent job and very fair prices. Thanks Jamie

This place is an absolute sham. I don t ever leave Google reviews, but after the last three years of dealing with a piece of junk sold to me by this store, I can t help but do so.The first day I bought it, the check engine light came on. I took it back to them, they claimed it was a catalytic converter issue. They fixed it, and at first I thought that to be the end of it. Unfortunately, it started to act up the following day. Took it back. Told me it needed a battery (but also claimed the battery in it was supposedly new when they sold it to me). They replaced the battery, fine. Next I noticed the belt cover was missing. Took it back, they gave me one from a different vehicle. Fine. In the week following, my radiator blew up. That s when I recognized that I d been played. They do NOT check their vehicles before selling them, they actively use pressure sales tactics, and they do not stand by their work. The only reason they continued to offer to fix the car is because I threatened to cancel my check before they cashed it. After they cashed it, I didn t receive anymore help.I ve since been taking my car to a local mechanic (who I trust and has a great reputation). In the last 3 years I ve had: engine cylinder misfires, failing transmission, failing rear brakes, failing ABS system, a failing A/C pulley system, a failing alternator x2, a failing battery, and a failing fuel tank unit. They artificially inflate their 5 star reviews by offering a free oil change in return. Do NOT buy a car from this place. I hope every day that somebody hits my car so I don t have to deal with it anymore, don t end up like me.

On 3/7/2022 my husband and I purchased a 2010 Subaru Legacy from Trucks and Toys in Post Falls, ID for $11,800. This car was going to be my husband's commuter car for work and eventually be passed down to our oldest daughter in a few years when she starts driving, so we told them we needed a mechanically sound vehicle. Jackie (salesperson) assured us that they go meticulously through every vehicle and fix any mechanical issues, which is why they are a "no haggle" car lot. We purchased the car at 1:30pm on 3/7/22. My husband drove it to work that night and on his way home at 1:00am on 3/8/22 the check engine light, cruise control light, traction control light and e-brake light all came on. I called them and spoke with Jamie (service manager/owners daughter). I told her about all the warning lights that were on and that the vehicle was leaking what appeared to be transmission fluid, she said to bring it in and they'd look at it. I dropped it off 3/10/22 at 9am for them to look at it, they called me later that day stating they fixed the leaking fluid but that the code it was showing was the P0420 (catalytic converter) and that it was probably just carbon build up from the engine work they did and to drive it for a few days, reset the code and it should be good to go... but if it wasn't to "call them back and they'll see what they can do." We drove it for a few days and I called them 3/16/22 because the lights came back on after we reset it, Ken (new service guy) stated they couldn't get us in until the next week so I scheduled to drop it off on 3/22/22. Ken called us later that afternoon saying it was the catalytic converter and it'd be $800-1,000 to repair, we asked to have Jamie call us since this seemed to be am issue the vehicle already had when we purchased it. She called 3/23/22 and said they'd be able to work out a deal with us but that she needed to do some research and call us back with a price. On 3/24/22 we get a call from Ken saying because our vehicle has 2 catalytic converters (and they don't know which one is bad) it'd be $1400 to fix our car (for parts and a "discount on labor").I've talked to a few mechanic friends about this vehicle and ALL agree that Trucks and Toys likely reset the codes prior to us purchasing the vehicle (so that there weren't any warning lights on) and sold us a vehicle that they knew needed new catalytic converters. This business seems to be very dishonest and we will absolutely never take any of our vehicles to them in the future. They "buy" 5 star reviews with a free oil change.

got my new forester here, prices can be a little high at first glance but well worth it when you see the care they take with their vehicles and their service. Jamie took extra time to explain some of the finer qualities and challenges of subarus to me and was very helpful working around my schedule. They also did a lot of major and minor service work on it and were never pushy about the sale. all in all excellent service. :-)

Great service from the staff and their estimate was less than the others I received. They had my car done very quickly and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend trying them out.

Incompetent buffoons, and hostage holders. Buddy took his car in for some work since he had bought it here. Was fixing a grinding sound in his wheel, and the AC. They said it would be done that Wednesday. It was not, because they ordered the wrong parts. He got the car back Saturday, paid $2000, drove a little, and the front wheel started smoking, the check engine light turned on, and the AC was blowing heat. Complete failures on all parts. But wait. So he brings it back out, and these morons try again. Got a different mechanic cuz the last idiot had a few days off. Go back out there cuz they say it's ready Tuesday. Buddy was told before this that they would "hook him up" this time because of the hastle. I guess not because they won't let the car go without another $400. Don't get the car back. Say it's ready Wednesday. Drive back out there for the 4th time. Get the car back. A whole week and $2500, plus however much the 6 Uber rides cost, and they didn't make up for their multiple errors at all. Was like a hostage negotiation. Drove out there for a ready car 3 times for nothing. And, in addition, Friday we noticed his alignment was off, so it still wasn't done right, but he went somewhere else this time.

**THEIR REVIEWS ARE ARTIFICIALLY HIGH BECAUSE THEY OFFER A FREE OIL CHANGE FOR A GOOD REVIEW.**Our initial feeling of this place was great... until it wasn t. Their whole motto is that they sell you a great car, that is in great mechanical shape, as they have fixed them up themselves by their certified mechanics. Within LESS THAN 24 HOURS of driving our new car off the lot, the check engine light came on and the interior lights/headlights were flickering on and off. We called immediately and they told us that it was probably the catalytic converter and that they would cover the labor if we would cover the expense of the part. They eventually agreed to replace it free of charge. The battery was also bad, which was replaced. We got the car back and it ran fine for TWO DAYS UNTIL THE RADIATOR BLEW UP, leaving us stranded on the side of the road and having to pay to have it towed. We have not even received the license plates for this car yet and have been without a working vehicle for almost the entire time we have owned it. I highly recommend reading some of the bad reviews that warn against these same things.Update as of 10/2023:We ve owned this car for three years now. It s never ran correctly since the day we bought it. Since our initial review we have had to replace the following: the alternator (we ve had this replaced twice now), battery (again), brakes, tires, fuel tank (we ve had this replaced twice now), catalytic converter (again), ac belt and pulley system, engine cylinders, brake light switch, and there is a serious electrical issue. The dash lights flicker, the brake, battery, and check engine light are all on 24/7, the radio turns off, and the headlights don t work. The car gets about 10 miles to the gallon because there is something wrong with the fuel system and the two new fuel tanks we ve installed have both cracked. The initial check engine light code that we brought it back in for 3 years ago has never gone away despite us dumping thousands of dollars into this car. There were months where it would randomly die or we couldn t shift it out of park, leaving us stranded. This has been the biggest nightmare.

I bought a 2012 Outback from Trucks N Toys, and it has been by far the best experience I ve ever had with a dealer. They are friendly, professional, and knowledgable. Jacque is a total pleasure to work with. Their mechanic Jason has taken time to explain repairs and maintenance procedures to me to help keep my Subaru going down the road. All cars have issues and need maintenance and repairs from time to time. In my opinion, Subarus are the best cars for this climate. When the time comes to replace this one, I ll go back to Trucks N Toys.

Purchased (with cash, in full) a 2011 Scion xD, and it's been a fantastic little commuter since last November. The process was straightforward and we were in and out in a couple hours. No engine troubles, no brake troubles, the only things I've had to do is replace the tire change kit and a tail light assembly that was collecting water. Very happy with this experience overall.

Came here for a windshield replacement on my Volkswagen Passat. Jacque was so helpful. I was just going to pay for it out of pocket but she convinced me to call my insurance for coverage and assured me that "glass-only" wouldn't make my rate increase. I took her advice and got a brand new windshield for free!! So grateful for her knowledge and expertise. And they had the job done so fast! Really recommend this business. Cant say enough good things.

Called for brake pad cost, 5 day delay on the call return with a very sincere apology and explanation along with cost breakdown, explanation, and education. (Make and model of vehicle uses heavy duty parts, front pads wear down 2/3 faster than back, same cost to have back done as front but if I bring it in they can look and I may be able to get away with doing the front for now, the final cost given included labor which is appreciated in the sense of lack of suprise cost) when that "bring it in so we can have a look" offer was given I asked why the calls coming from Idaho as my Canadian city has a truck Buisness under the same name I had meant to call, asked where I was from, we both laughed at my mixup, had a great 5 minute conversation about Canada and the states, conversion fees, cost of living before he very professionally wrapped it up leaving that future door open for business, and you know what Mr.USA, when we cross that southern border, it's a bucket list destination because of your kind competence. See you soon TNT.

Went here recently to check out a car they had listed, had talked to someone and told them we were interested in this specific car and wanted to look at it. They made us aware that it wasn't working but their mechanic would be looking at it soon. I wasn't too bothered by it, was still interested. Came later that day and the lady seemed like it was weird that we were there and had no idea why we wanted to look at it if it wasn't working. We were told there were many other interested parties, so we wanted to get a head start. She let us check out the car but was basically breathing down our necks and when the back trunk door wouldn't open she acted really weird when we pointed it out. Didn't like that we pointed it out, or something. We asked for the carfax and once she got it to us, we thanked her and had her take our info. She told us she would call us the next day after they checked it out. Days later, no call. Nothing. It was still on their site but for a thousand dollars more and now it's gone. Guess they sold it?The lady wasn't rude but she had a very weird way of handling business and it all just ended up being a waste of our time. Happy to look elsewhere.

It was a great experience! I was instantly welcomed and I felt as if I was wanted there. The fact that they were wanting to get me my first car already made me feel great. They knew I was looking for a car, so as soon as they had a good car for me they contacted me and they held on to the car for us. They had all the information for the car and they were honest about the car. I would highly recommend Trucks N Toys to anyone looking for a car. Especially if they were looking for a well taken care of car.

Buying a car from this dealer was a delight. I love that they don't jump down your throat immediately after they see you step onto the lot, but rather wait for you to come inside to tell them you are ready to test drive a car. They definitely know their stuff when it comes to Subarus. The lady that worked with us was super personable which made the process of buying a car much less stressful. 10/10 would recommend!

I just bought a Subaru Forester about a week n' half ago and am loving it! Jamie was so great and honest to work with. I look forward to bringing my car there for future maintenance since they love their Subarus! Also the building was so nice and comfy to sit and wait in very homey feeling. Overall car shopping usually sucks but, they made my experience a really good one!

What an amazing Company! I just got out of spring semester in college, so I am short on cash right now, but I needed a valve fixed on my beloved Subaru, and I was short a little on what was needed to fix it, and they waved it off, and said "No problem, we can do it for this much." Generosity and kindness live! Bless this company for being so kind and understanding. They take excellent care of their guests, and vehicles. Would recommend A+!!!

Jacque was such a huge help when I was shopping for my new car. She was extremely knowledgeable about what I was looking for and extremely genuine when I asked questions and when she was talking about the inventory. I didnt feel like I was talking to a salesperson, and I so, so appreciated that. After I test-drive my car and knew it was the one, they replaced the slightly damaged windshield and a mirror that was damaged and then checked the car out for another thing we noticed, all in the same day. Very appreciative of her helpfulness and kindness during this experience. I love my new car!!

I purchased a 2010 forester from them in October. It started dying on me and faltering bad that night. I brought the car into them and they told me it was the aftermarket exhaust Tips. Not the problem. I had to pay for an inspection and brought them the work order from the mechanic shop. There was an air leak in the intake manifold. There is also an oil leak from the engine bay. They took it into their shop for a two hour repair and held it for seven days. Which would be cool but it was not fixed! same issues as before. They do not look at the cars before sale, don t be like me get the vehicle inspected before purchase. This is me reaching out to TnT my car is not in operating condition please give me a call and make this right. I have a very detailed account of my money and time spent on this fiasco that I will be updating this review with in a short while.

Bought a 2009 Forester from Trucks and toys last night. Thank you for your wonderful service. And for the vehicle that is up to date with its maintenance. Our first Subaru. Love Love love.. Trucks N Toys were easy to deal with, no high pressure, no sales person following us around the lot. YAY, Very straight forward with the price and sale. They had a very clean facility from the waiting room to the shop.

Jamie was great to work with. Very knowledgeable about Subarus and their little quirks. I live the fact they take care of the inherent head gasket issues, and timing belt maintenance. This alone will save you $2k in unexpected repairs. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a Subaru. Piece of mind purchase. Thanks from both Kelly and I.

Got a 2008 Subaru Outback. I live in Sandpoint. Asked for the maintenance report to be mailed to me. The heater wasnt working good. Took it back. It apparently had a crack in the radiator cap "they must have missed". Heater works better now. Was told By Jaimie, extra keys would be $30-$35. Ordered 2. Came back the following Wed, was told I'd be out by 5-530 at the latest. Jaimie locked me out of the place on a cold night at 6:30 still waiting for the key guy as he was having problems. The keys were actually $65 a piece but all Jamie kept saying was " the keys are separate from us, you'll have to deal with them.".. The following week the car overheated ... Pulled over and checked things...air bubble in the radiator and 2 QTS low on oil. Really ?? Called and complained on the 9th I believe. Spoke to Lisa ... Still waiting for my maintenance report. Love my car but will not recommend......

We bought a used vehicle from them in January. I have to say they have great customer service! Jamie was very helpful and patient with us and they had plenty of toys in the waiting room for the children to play with. When we buy another used vehicle we will definitely be going back.

We just purchased an 04 Subaru Outback with low mileage and plan to take a weekend road trip. Such super nice family owned business. Very friendly and fun. Love their new building, so comfy. 5 days later: the next day we discovered the cruise control didn t work, took it back. The tech took it out and came back and said it s not working. They would put a new switch in it. So we got an appointment , took it in to get the new switch in, another technician took it out, he says it s working but he said they squirted something in it and it s working??? Please tell me why if a 35 point inspection was done on this car they did not know the cruise was not working? So now we have a cruise control that does not work all the time . Not exactly thrilled with fact that we could get the switch replaced but it would cost us for the part but and they would cover the labor

Loved getting my Subaru from Trucks N Toys! I had been rear-ended and my car was totaled. I needed a replacement, and Trucks N Toys had vehicles that had obviously been gone over with a fine-tooth comb. No surprises or malfunctions down the road. I was still in rough shape after the accident, and the gal we worked with, Jamie, was kind and patient, answering all our questions, and making us feel confident in our purchase. My "twin" Subaru has been a great vehicle and I highly recommend this business for anyone who wants a used vehicle they can count on.

My experience with Trucks- n-Toys was amazing. Just to give you a hint of how awesome it was I will share details which I typically don't do. For starters I was searching for a particular vehicle which I searched on CarGurus which is pretty helpful I must add. So they notified me via email to let me know that that vehicle was local near my area of town. So I checked it out online and later paid the guys at Truck-n-toys a visit. Let's just say that the staff is about as good as it gets far as customer service skills and making you feel completely at home. Jacque is an all-star. You definitely will be fortunate to meet this lovely lady. Everything went perfect, I got the vehicle that I was looking for and it's amazing to say the least. Thanks again guys if anyone that is looking for a vehicle that I know I will definitely send your way.
