Ian is legit. Had a bushing for my gear shifter go out while I was at work. He came out within the hour with the part in-hand and had it working within 10 minutes. Will be coming to him to get some more work done.

Had mackins auto do a injector replacement on my 2000 international dt466e. Had broke down 2 doors down from owners house so did at his home, after not being able to get ahold of him for several days via phone, I went to house. Found hood open valve.cover, turbo and another orifice open with no plastic, towel or anything covering g them. I woke Ian when I arrived so the state I found it in was at very least overnight, more.likely few days. Was told injectors from oreillys were wrong injectors so was getting them from diesel connection out of Ohio. Come to find out later that wasn't the case and supposedly came from advanced auto. Called advanced in town and no record of purchase of injectors for my vehicle. Few days later got text showing truck running and went and paid $4500+ and jumped in to drive away. Roughly 1 mile down road started pulling codes and went into limp mode. Beginning to wonder if injectors were replaced as I have asked Ian for receipt for injectors so as to have if and when I sell truck. For some reason can't get him to respond or send over a receipt.

I called Ian about my situation with my front and back light cases on my 2016 Nissan Rogue. He responded immediately, came out to me and knocked it out in no time !!! Ian saved my kids!! We are from WA state and my daughter and her boyfriend broke down in post falls on their way home. They called the closest mechanic shop and Ian answered right away. He told them to save money on a tow truck and he would come to them. He showed up and said they through a rod and the motor was shot. He took them home with him and took care of them until we figured out what we wanted to do as far as the car and getting them home. He offered to load the car up on a trailer and my kids in his truck and bring them back to Washington for a more then fair fee. During times like these, he gave me hope. He reminded me there are still good people in this world willing to help others in a time of need. As a mom, I couldn t be more thrilled my kids met Ian. He saved the day! Called in on Halloween day for repairs to my truck. Ian was able to get me in same day to start working on it. He gave me a call and said he ordered a part and my truck would be ready next day, which is great especially being a holiday. He called me the next day to come pick it up right on time. He went above and beyond for me and at a great price. I would highly recommend anyone to take their vehicle to him.

A great experience. We came into town for the weekend and our AC compressor blew out as we pulled into our rental. Even though it was the weekend, Mackins Automotive was able to come to our place, diagnose the problem, order a new part, and install it before we had to head home. He was super friendly and helpful, really made an effort to make sure I could have full function of everything in my older car. He installed a new car stereo and did some work on my connections. Called Ian s automotive and told him my breaks were horrible and I needed to get them done before work tomorrow due to using my car all day at work he was the only place that I could get into and for a great price! I want to take a moment to rave about what a great human Ian is. I was in Coeur d'Alene at a soccer tournament visiting from Nampa. It was a Saturday afternoon and our car began to misfire. We my wife and I franticly searched for a mechanic to take out car to. We called 2 companies that were closed. The 3rd call was to Mackins Automotive. Ian immediately answered and promptly made his way to our location. He diagnosed the problem and ordered the part immediately. He had our car and fixed that evening.
