I had the misfortune of breaking my neighbor's car window in 2013 while moving my yard. This was a time in my life when I was broke. I had to turn it in to insurance. Body by Scotty was able to fix it so affordable that my insurance didn't even go up. I latter on in life ended up working here. I have now moved on for my own reasons being family and wanted a change after 25 years in automotive. I will tell you this! This place is awesome and honest. They will not ever take advantage of anybody not even insurance company's. If you have a vehicle 2004 or newer they are the place. If you have a motor home or classic or boat, they can tell you where to go. Make your call here first.Services: Painting, Body & Trim, Car towing

I got in an accident this morning and James came to pick me up. He was so beyond helpful and made me feel so calmed down. He explained to me that my truck will most likely get totaled and that everything will be ok and explained to me the process. That was so calming to hear as i was in a panic. I am 20 years old and this is my first accident, I was scared and confused on what was going to happen. But he was the kindest soul and made sure to help me grab my stuff and have the truck warm for me. All the ladies in the office were so beyond sweet and made sure I was taken care of. Then, i just followed up to make sure I would get notified on any updates and joe was so kind and helpful on the phone. Body By Scotty made my terrible day a bit better by their excellent customer service. I will absolutely be coming back for anything I ever need done.

Used to do good work. Go elsewhere. Sold the car @ 60% value body work was so bad. Metallic was wrong and no blending with original panels or even a good buff to even it out. Headlight HID was wrong color and different beam pattern. My truck they installed a bent door so window doesn't roll up in the track and installed original broken window track back in, with a piece of duct tape. Mirror was re painted but not prepped so painted over rock chips and seal. Maybe notify a customer of said issue if insurance wont pay and customer might spend the extra $100 to make it correct. Gas tank re placed cause cracked in accident - fuel gauge irratic jumping 1/4 tank back n forth, leaking sending unit from scrap hose used, each piece a different brand with crooked cuts - thus why it leaked. Wiring harness left exposed above tank where OEM loom ran and when sending unit leaked it pooled on top of tank drowning the electrical connection. Connectors on sending unit exposed. Extremely dangerous. Don't even get me started on panel alignment or homemade pin stripe that doesn't match and peeled off. Bumper crooked and hood hit fender top if you don't close it very carefully. Some insurance work, some paid for out of pocket.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a place like Scotty s. The customer service was excellent, and professional while being very friendly. We were a little nervous about leaving our new car to get the bodywork done but they had it fixed like brand new and we got are car back sooner than expected looking clean inside and out. I think they must have had it detailed it was so clean. Great job!!!!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

My husband Lonnie and I had recently had our pt cruiser in their shop. Guys did a remarkable job and what we liked is they handled everything with the insurance claim dept so we didn't need to be on phone with them. Car looked when we picked it up.thanks guys for everything

I would highly recommend Body by Scotty for any body damage repair. Jacob was great to work with up front explaining the process, providing a courtesy car and even helped is save money by suggesting we buy our taillight elsewhere ourselves. Results are beautiful and price was accurate for the damage. Thank you all again.

These guys towed my truck after my husband got a DUI , but they made their part of this is whole ordeal totally awesome ..they were pleasant, easy to work with, honesty, very economical. The gentleman Sam that towed the car was an absolute pleasure to work with if you're lucky these people will tell your car in this situation.

We were on a road trip to Seattle when our car broke down on the side of I-90 and I was stuck there with my wife and 9 month old son. We called Body by Scotty and they went above and beyond! They brought a separate car for my wife, son and I to get us off the side of the road ASAP. The tow truck was there shortly after and they got us to a mechanic right away. The service was fantastic and they even had the shuttle car extra warm because they were concerned we didn t have heat while broke down and wanted to make sure we could warm up the baby. We cannot thank you enough for the amazing service and highly recommend this establishment!Service: Car towing

Joe I talked to on Sat and he only informed me that it would be 200 extra to get my vehicle out on Sat..so I called back Mon..the tow and storing fee was 40 per day charge was 330.00 waaaay too high..then everything in my glove compartment was on the floor of car..I'm surprised nothing was stolen. Where they stored my vehicle there was broken glass and mirrors everywhere on the ground. Staff rude. Especially Joe the tow truck driver.Service: Car towing

We are very satisfied with the job that body by Scotty did! We took it in and when they gave us a quotethey looked under the car as well as around the car and the quotecame in to repair it much higher but they were repairing everything. When we picked up the car it was so clean inside and smelled like a new car. A year + ago I came in for an estimate and never heard anything back. I reserved my entire day for them to look at my truck damage and came back to meet with an estimator whom looked over my vehicle and said they would get back to me when they had time. I figured a month would be ok for an answer. I left them all my info and a business card. I recently called again because I forgot about it and go busy. Same scenario. I was ghosted. No follow up. Nothing.

My name is Sean. I was in the Walmart parking lot in Post Falls today struggling to install my new wiper blades. A very nice guy came over and offered to help me. After a few difficulties he got my new blades on and even poured my wiper fluid in!! Sam, you rock!!Thank you very much!!!

Jeff is fantastic and got to my car to get my initial estimate rolling from the very next morning after my accident. The other staff members were also awesome and made me feel right at home when I stopped in to fill out paperwork and drop off the key. The initial estimate was fair pricing as well which is always something I hope for when it comes to car repairs.

These guys rescued us off the side of I90 and brought a separate vehicle for our 9 month old baby to safely ride in his car seat. They were there fast and the cost was totally reasonable. My family is so appreciative to the staff Thank you!Service: Car towingService: Car towing

Last winter my car slid down the driveway into a fire pit (forgot to put the E brake on!) and the front end smashed into big boulders you sit on. I was referred by Mazda to go to Body By Scotty. They were friendly, honest, and got the work done in only a few days. You could never tell anything happened to my car. I recommend anyone who needs body work done on there vehicle to go there.

This is one of the most fair and best body shops my family and I have ever been to. The owner is one of the most honest and fair people we have ever met. They don't just get the job done, but they go above and beyond more than you will ever find They are great people and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Very rude and unprofessional Operator "Sam" refused to call the registered owner refused to tow the vehicle to a reasonable location 10 blocks away and then charged $360 to tow and store a vehicle for less than 8 hours. Broke several idaho statue laws and regulations. Do yourself a favor and call ANYONE else.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

I cannot say enough good things about Body by Scotty. We hit a deer and needed body work done on our Honda Pilot. Body by Scotty provided us with a loaner vehicle for over three weeks while they went back and forth with my insurance company. This saved us the considerable expense of a rental. We just got our car back today and it is BEAUTIFUL! In addition to fixing the damage caused by the deer, the shop buffed out other non related scratches and thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed the inside of the car. Keith even helped me move my large, cumbersome carseat from the loaner vehicle back into my car. Everyone I spoke to at the shop was kind and professional. Would definitely not recommend these guys!Had my mom's car fixed there 2 years ago and they did not put flex additive in with the paint for the plastic bumper! Paint is peeling and flaking off and they will not stand by their lifetime warranty! Not to mention when picking the vehicle up they forgot to change out the lock cylinder along with the trunk actuator and also did not even replace the cardboard spare tire cover that was broke stay away from these guys they take shortcuts Anywhere they can!

When Scott left, the shop took a nose dive. I recently received a rear end repair that looks much worse, inside and out, then it did prior to any "repair".And the owner, whom I've know for almost 20 years tried to convince me that it is how it is supposed to look.Went home and immediately discovered replacement parts were never installed.Service: Body & Trim

Had an accident trouble with insurance and the rent a car and work truck being out of commission and nothing was going right but, body by scoty. They are the best if I ever have another accident that's because someone hits me I'm always going to them. They make it so easy and they don't treat you differently if you're a female. A wonderful group of people who actually care about you, and your truck.

Called after getting the run around from a couple shops in CDA that were "to busy" to even give me an estimate. They told me to bring my truck up when I'm ready for a paint estimate

Frame straightenWaited 7 days on a 1 day repair.Start of 1st day, I left car asking that frame be straightened. No action.End of 2nd day, car was looked at, they determined I was correct, that frame needed to be straightened. (2 whole days to tell me what I already knew).3rd day no action, no contact.weekend.End of 4th day I rang, they said they were short of mechanics, but will be done tomorrow.5th day, no action, no contact.End of 6th day I rang, they said they had a computer problem, but will be done tomorrow.End of 7th day they rang. Car was done. I asked for a discount for having to wait 7 days on a 1 day repair. They said no.My inspection turned up hood was still out of alignment, and had 8 rivets missing from side/bottom panels. They said they would replace them and fix hood alignment, if I came back in a month.Took it back a month later, they replaced only 3 rivets, and hood was still out of alignment.Fender panelFirst day I rang them to get a price for a new fender liner. They said $127 for part and install. I ordered the part, they said they d ring me when it came in.20 days later, after no contact, I happened to be at a parts yard (same one Body by Scotty said they would get the panel from), and asked them status of fender panel that was taking forever. They checked their records and said it had been delivered on the first day. The fools NEVER BOTHERED to ring me. I rang them and got an appt.Day of appt I left my car at the start of the day. They said the price had gone up from $127 to $152.At the end of the day they rang me and said the wrong part had been delivered.Okay, I get that this was not Body by Scotty s fault (maybe).But maybe inspect a part on delivery to see if it is correct?If not then, maybe the day I made the appt?If not then, maybe the day I bring in my car?Nope. Send me home, wait all day, and only THEN have a look at the part.

Staff here are nice people but unbelievably incompetent. It took them exactly a month to even get my car in after my accident. The whole experience dealing with these guys was worse than the accident itself. I even had to get my insurance involved at one point because it had gotten so ridiculous, and I even typed up an itinerary of all of the delays that I had to go through. Throughout this entire process not once did I lose my patience with these people over the phone I waited until I got off the phone to lose my temper because I knew that losing it while I was on the phone wouldn't solve anything nor would it get me my car back any faster. And even after all was said and done and I went and picked up my car finally after 3 whole months of me not having my car (2 months of them actually having it) no resolution was offered for the inconvenience. The itinerary is so long that I can't even post it here because it exceeds the maximum character limit...
