The staff was amazing. I read the reviews on the hotel and Renee Parker and Robert Jopson. Looking at your reviews of everywhere else and the other peoples reviews of the fairview. I came to the conclusion that you two are expecting way too much and as far I can tell are miserable. The staff was amazing me and my family are very happy and well to do and some unfortunate circumstances happened. The hotel staff was there at every second I had a question or needed anything. Spot on best bang for the buck in Sandpoint especially if you need a weekly rate. Or daily. Stop booking online and take the time to stop in, you will clearly see that these two lonely reviews out of so many it was snooty people wanting a diamond for 1 dollar. Well as for as I'm concerned my family was treated with the upmost respect and we got gold by the pound for a Penny or less I WOULD RECOMMEND THE FAIRVIEW TO ANYONE ROOMS ARE HUGE ITS VERY QUIET AND THE STAFF THERE ARE GREAT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE HILTON WILL SAY THAT YOU REALLY SHOULD GO BLOW YOUR MONEY AND PLEASE PLEASE GO BACK TO WHERE U STARTED OR WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THE CAN.Rooms: Spacious and very comfortable staffing was great it's definitely a hotel that gets passed up way too often.Nearby activities: Directly between sweitzer mountain and townWalkability: It's the outside of town but everything including ski mountain is within reason.

Booked here through Expedia with what I thought was a refundable room - was coming in for work and the trip wasn't a sure deal. Unfortunately work got canceled and I missed some Expedia+Fairbridge fine print somewhere so only a couple nights were actually refundable.I talked to a nice Fairbridge lady on the phone who assured me things could and would still be canceled and not to worry (and also to cancel my Expedia reservation - a mistake). Should have gotten it in writing - just got a $366 charge on my CC. Beware!

Fresh biscuits made for a fantastic breakfast! Hotel was clean and the rooms were nice with updated modern bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also had unique rustic decor that created a very cozy cabin feel. I would recommend staying here.Food & drinks: Great breakfast with a waffle bar with all the fixings! Fresh warm biscuits with gravy. And an assortment of other options.

When we arrived the front desk person was so busy texting on her phone she was barely able to help us. Rooms are WAY overpriced for an old run down hotel. Everything in the room, including all of the lighting, was unplugged and very difficult to get to the outlets. The clock was in a drawer and there was a telephone, but without the cord for the wall outlet. Bizarre hotel. I would not recommend it.

Searching for a hotel in Sandpoint that doesn't break the bank is hard, it felt like making a reservation online was a giant gamble. But we got it right with FairBridge. If you're looking for an adorable but clean and quiet option, this is it. The rooms are nice, the service is fantastic and the hotel is clean. We were very pleased and recommend this hotel to anyone not looking to pay a fortune but wanting decent accommodations in a good location.

The people who work here are over the top friendly, personable, and helpful. Really great folks! The breakfast is good with an ample selection of different snacky breakfast type stuff to choose from. Room was really COLD when I first checked in, but didn't take too long to warm up. I would suggest calling ahead and asking someone to turn the heat on an hour before you arrive. Everything was really clean and newer and nice. Plenty of good hot water for the morning shower! Fresh coffee available 24/7, which is really nice.

The front desk staff were wonderful and friendly. The room, although small was quiet and clean. What would have been nice is more electric outlets and/or USB chargers, a side table/lamp for both sides of the bed and maybe another shelf in the bathroom!Nearby activities: Super close to Sandpoint and of course the lake.

We had a younger blond lady check us in she had some tattoos. She was so amazing. She showed us where to go in sandpoint, asked if we needed any coffee or snacks. Everytime we saw her She had a smile. Room was clean. Small but for the price it was perfect. Nice hot tub also. Thank you for making our vacation wonderful.Rooms: Rooms so clean, nice big windows that opened all the way up so nice. Also very quiet.Nearby activities: You are so close to anything you need.Safety: Very safe area. CleanWalkability: Trails very close byFood & drinks: The breakfast was great hot waffles, juice, oatmeal, cereal.

We needed to find a place that was comfortable as my husband was having surgery at the hospital. The place was so comfy and clean...the afternoon clerk (plays banjo) was friendly and accommodating. The gal on the morning shift was snarky and impatient so that was a bummer. However, her breakfast prep was yummy and plentiful. We'll be back for sure!

1. There's virtually no Wi-Fi here. Very weak signal.2. The phone in the room didn't work.3. The room smelled strongly of disinfectant.4. The breakfast sucks.5. Nothing is well maintained.6. The decor is all 1980s or older.7. Staff doesn't care about any of this, but the blame actually llies with the owners.8. Don't stay here.

Everything here. This hotel was awesome. The rooms were quite homey feeling and the customer service was much better than some other hotels. However, there is one front desk lady who is not a joy to be around at all and I stayed there for over a week and she was always like this. She would literally make my day off to a bad start. I try being nice to her but she is just unhappy about life in general and makes a big deal about having to provide any customer service at all

We had to rent a room for a week cuz he had knee surgery and not only did they get upset because we were out walking around. They told me I had to tell my 28 year old disabled son that he couldn't walk around the parking lot which made him very anxious cuz that's how he release his anxiety. Which led into him getting upset pushing me and trying to trip me so I had to call the cops. Every morning we would come out for breakfast 90% of the time in they did not have biscuits and gravy. When I went to address the situation with the manager she was extremely rude. Not only do I know how to cook but I ran a small buffet a full buffet which laid into her telling me that my son needed to leave and not come back cuz he used to work there and she don't like him. We decided to check out that Wednesday. The district manager got upset when I started talking to her about my son. Said that he did not appreciate people like that walking around the parking lot. So far I see that disabled people work for them but they have no respect for any of them.Rooms: The room was amazing very clean. But the next day we decided to stay another day we had to chase down housekeeping just to get clean linen you never came and serviced our room in the five days that we stayed there the first time and then the two days he stayed there the next time. All they would do is bring in trash bags and linen.Safety: They were working on the safety when we showed up this last time they lock the back door but it's locked all the time so now you can only go through one door through the front. And he just had a knee replacement and is going down for another one

Great location to explore Sandpoint and surrounding area. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Shower was nice after a day at the lake. Waffle maker for breakfast was a treat - I added peanut butter a d jelly to mine. Lots of free, onsite parking. Staff at check-in was very friendly.

This place was really clean and the people working at the front desk were very nice and friendly. The jacuzzi was great and never closes! The breakfast wasn t the best but they do have a waffle and pancake maker. My only major issue was that we had the room closest to the front desk (room 102 I believe) and I could hear people talking throughout the night and I woke up a few times. I would recommend getting a room further away if you can. Other than that, I slept well and the room was very cozy. Overall, this hotel is a good value for the price and I would stay there again.

Great location for everything near Sandpoint. Decent breakfast included. Hot tub jets were not functioning correctly.Wooden furniture added nice touches in room, Bathroom was very nice with waterfall faucets and white porcelain standing sinks. No views, but very quiet considering it is on major highway through town.

Great location just North of downtown Sandpoint , and only a few short miles to Schweitzer Mountain. The building itself is dated, but it's relatively clean and they do appear to keep it well maintained. The rooms are basic with log'ish wooden furniture, a small Vizio TV, a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Bed was pretty cozy and the heater worked well. They do offer a standard breakfast of self made waffles, muffins, and coffee. Some cold or hot cereal along with juice of some sort would have been nice, but you get what you get.Front Desk staff was nice, but the night shift guy was all about complaints. About his life situation, how this job was temporary etc. A little more info than anyone other than myself would have found off putting, but he was still cordial.Last but not least, they do have a hot tub and spa which was nice. All in all it's a decent place. It's not very fancy, but if you're just passing through it is a good pit stop.I would have given 5 stars except for the following:Only complaint I have is when I went in to take a shower, I generally check the condition, and cleanliness of the shower stall which was very clean. I turned to my right, and noticed a long black scraggly hair stuck to the wall. I did leave record of it in their in room survey card, so hopefully they'll be a little more aware to double check everything before they leave after cleaning.

Our stay was interrupted when the front desk attendant overcooked a bag of microwave popcorn and started a fire around midnight. The fire alarm was blasting throughout the hotel for more than 20 minutes. My family of 6 including small children lost significant sleep as a result. I requested a discount but the front desk just laughed at me and told me to wait for the GM. when the GM arrived, I was told that no discount was available but I could get coupon toward a future stay. Only after I continued to express my disappointment did the GM call her boss for approval to discount my room. I understand mistakes happen, but it should not have been this difficult to compensate us for a long night.

Room was not clean the bathtub had hair all over it and a scum ring around it, the bathroom sink was covered in hair too. Bed was old and broken down very uncomfortable. Someone before us had wrapped the fire alarm with plastic but that was left un noticed by the staff before we got there. Hot tub was awful it was a simple back yard jacuzzi type hot tub but in a room...the jets did not work and it was barely warm...our bathtub had warmer water (after I cleaned it myself). The manager was well accommodating and gave us 50% off one night stay for the problems but I will not be staying there again.

When arriving to the hotel, they couldn't find our reservation (it sounded like another employee may have changed our reservation) The staff was extremely helpful in coming up with a solution. One of our rooms were upgraded to a suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out bed in the couch. The room was very nice, large and had lots of seating options which was awesome. However with all that good comes the bad. There was some serious drug activity happening. My teenage boys where throwing a football around outside and saw some people sitting along the building using injectable drugs. There was clearly not confusion on their part as they stated they had a burnt spoon and a needle. After the kids told me this I investigated myself and saw the 2 adults there passing out in their lawn chairs. We believe it was the guest staying in the room next to us. All the adults in our group became hyper aware of everything after that and we could clearly tell there was much drug activity happening in and around the hotel. Had there not been that experience we would give a good review, and would stay again. After seeing what we saw we will not be returning to this hotel.

The 1 Queen bed room is extremely small and the bed is actually a full. Prices are high for such a run down hotel. I heard of other rooms near ours having bed bugs. The day we checked in we waited literally all day. We got there at 11 hoping they could give us a room early but said there were none available and at 3 our room still wasn t ready until 5pm. There was 1 outlet behind the bed and 1 outlet under the desk (this outlet did not work it took 14 hours to charge my phone using this one). Staff was okay half of them weren t inviting
