I have been going to Brian for about 25 years now.he has always been fair and honest.in my experience he has always called to double check before doing any repair that could be expensive. He's diagnosed several problems for me and gives me the option to fix it in house or repair it myself. You won't find a better place to take your vehicle in Sandpoint/ponderay.

Not happy. The issue was not addressed due to the problem being tire related which they don't do. They did other work but their diagnostic and solution did not fix the entire problem. It was only made clear to me after I had paid for the work, driven away, and then came back to question them noticing I Still had the original issue. I was then informed of what was found by Elite to be the problem when they took the car there for alignment.

I have been going to them for years and the one time they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car, THEY WERE HONEST ABOUT IT AND DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME! (it was a funky sensor they just didn't have the technology to diagnose) They recommended another great shop and I was able to get my car fixed but the most important piece here is that they are an honest shop! I actually have an appt for both of my cars here soon and it is always a pleasure working with them! I 100% recommend them!

Had a minor issue. Needed to replace headlight bulbs. The were prompt. Price was fair. Owner Bryan was helpful to discuss another issue. Left with the impression that they would be thorough but not go overboard.

I took my suburban to them last week, I asked them to look it over and see what I needed fixed on my front end plus what I already knew needed to be done. They called me and let me know that my ball joints don't need to be replaced but my Pitman arm did. So I told them to fix it. I paid $1500 on all the work they did. I picked my truck up and immediately knew something was wrong, and I knew it was something with my brakes. I called them and they had me bring it back. They said nothing was wrong. My old man noticed a fresh groove in the outside of my rotor. I brought it back to them. They said it wasn't their fault, that it was a brake pad defect. So I took it back to Gription (without hesitation ) they said bring it in. Gription said that it broke because my ball joints and wheel bearings are shot. So now I have to come up with $1200 more to fix it, plus pay for another alignment. I gave them free reign to find what my front end needed and I trusted them. SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND EMERALD AUTOMOTIVE. WORD OF MOUTH IS A PRETTY POWERFUL SOURCE. THANKS FOR NOT FIXING MY TRUCK!!!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

Bryan and his team have the unenviable task of keeping my Jeep Cherokee Laredo (28 years old and 324,000 miles) on the road.They do a FABULOUS job. The shop rate is fair, the depth of knowledge is without peer, they stand behind their work and they are the very definition of honesty and fair dealing.Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great automotive shop preferred over all others. Brian's a great mechanic willing to take a few extra minutes out of his day to give you the best advice possible. Reasonable rates(you don't feel like your getting ripped off) willing to work with you .

Bryan found out exactly what was wrong with our Kia and he was very kind. We are planning to have our Kia repairs done by emerald. Real nice folks. Prices seem reasonable for repairs. AWESOME!!!

This is a small shop with big knowledge! We took my wife's Mazda Tribute to three different dealers, none of whom, after extracting big dollars from us, could cure the problem. Bryan correctly diagnosed the issue in minutes, and did the repair! They have fixed everything we have brought in now, and we just won't go anywhere else.

I took my SUV to Emerald Automotive for some work. It turns out that some electronic sensors were the problem. Bryan and his team quickly and efficiently troubleshot the problem and had me back on the road in a jiffy. I was pleasantly surprised at the total cost of parts and labor. Very reasonable indeed. THANK YOU Emerald Automotive!!!!!!!!

Quotes for repair does not include cost for parts. Only labor. This is Deceptive quotes. Quotes should always include total price for everything, and should be honored. In addition, they should not cancel appointments once they have promised to DO the repairs.

Professional, courteous and helpful staff. They'll allow you to bring in outside parts with a few resttictions in place. Honest diagnosis, good explanations, and fast repairs that are always done right. My repairs performed by Emerald always resolved my problem. I've always felt that Emerald's repair costs were better than mainstreem/dealership repair shops offered here in our town.

Emerald automotive is definitely the place to go for your auto problems..great or small! Excellent service and knowledge.. everything is done as expeditiously as possible too....fair prices as well...it's the place for me and mine... Love you Bryan and staff!

Great Service. I have been going to them for 14 years and they are honest, people..They tell you what is wrong, what will go wrong in the future to be aware of IF THEY CAN. They are human too. But they are the best in the business as far as I'm concerned. That is my personal opinion.

Did what they said they were going to do and they gave me a much better price than expected! Very good service just expect wait a long time to get your car in that may just be a back-to-school thing

Bryan dropped everything to help me out when I was stranded in Ponderay. I live in Newport, it was the end of the day, and I had a radiator hose blow out. His dropped his big project and came to the rescue so I could get home to my family, and the fee was nominal! What a guy! Thanks Bryan and staff!!
