We took in our SUV due to multiple engine lights. Mr. Diaz was able to diagnose in one appointment and we got our car a few days later! No more lights on our display. Our car is running as smooth as ever. Honest, and works in a timely manner. We recommend him 1000%.

Luis is AMAZING! So beyond helpful and very reasonably priced. Kind and friendly to work with as well. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone!!Edit: with Luis gone, I ve gotta lower the rating here. I believe his dad now runs the shop, and it s just not the same care or treatment. Wouldn t recommend this place anymore, unfortunately.

They did a amazing job with my wife's car it needed new inner tie rod and they got it done for almost half the price big o tried to lue to me about they were fast with in 3 hours they got it done including the alignment highly recommended and definitely will bring it here in the future

Excellent work, very reasonable prices! Take all of my cars to Pit Stop for their great work.Two years later: Unfortunately they are very busy and have to wait weeks to get in. Plus, they don't work on Volvos, which I have now, so have moved on.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Luis and his family do excellent work. I ve taken 2 vehicles in for repairs and they have them done quick and affordable. One had an issue with dying and they fixed it in like 15 min and charged me hardly anything, it was great service!

Luis is very friendly and helpful. He was able to use his knowledge and resources to diagnose and repair an engine component in my Subaru where the local Subaru service department could not. He answered all my questions confidently and I felt very satisfied. He noted other problems with my car, but didn't try to upsell other services. Cost was very reasonable for services rendered. The Subaru shop wanted to rebuild half my engine for over $5k, when the only problem was a failed banjo bolt and solenoid that was <$300 to fix.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Luis was extremely helpful when I needed another opinion on work that needed to be done on my vehicle. Not only did he inspect my car and give me answers to the questions I had, but he showed me those parts of my car in question and explained things to reaffirm what he was saying. I really appreciate the father and son duo. Arturo and Luis. My go to mechanics actually. I bought a brand new engine through them for an engine swap. And they also put it in for me. It took long due to shipping. But once it arrived. My buckie was up and running again. I recommend this place to anyone. So yeah. Definite recommendation. I went to same repair shop (Gate City) for over 10 years. When those guys retired and closed-up shop, I tried a number of different mechanics (I've always had an older, used car), and I really started to feel like I was getting the run around. Sometimes I worry that I could get taken advantage of when needing car help, and unfortunately I've run into some "less than perfectly honest" mechanics in town.I'm so glad I found Luis at Pit Stop Auto. He's a great mechanic, and he's honest and kind. Luis has always been super straight-forward with what I need to have done on the car, what I don't, and how much it's going to cost. I've brought my 2002 Volkswagon Passat wagon to Pit Stop for the last couple years (oil issues, power steering, battery problems, air intake hose) and I've always gotten friendly, fairly priced, quick, and thorough service. I would recommend Pit Stop to anyone-they are genuinely good people over there, and provide excellent service to ALL their customers. I've had only positive experiences so far, and I hope to bring my vehicle to Pit Stop for the next 10 years! When you find a good mechanic, it's a blessing, and you keep going back.

Luis, the owner, is amazing! Unlike many other mechanics he didn't treat me differently for being female, nor did he try to pull any shady things. He listened to what I had to say, diagnosed the problem, and took care of it all in one day. He is very friendly, and makes you feel valued.

I have been bringing my jeep here for quite a while now, and will continue to do so in the future. These guys are absolutely amazing! They always do the job right the first time, and they're open and honest with their communication. Plus, their prices are very competitive. Spectacular Service. On a Friday evening shortly before closing time (where a few others had turned me away) he took 5 10 min to quickly help me fix a problem with my 4WD that would have kept me from making my 4 hour drive home. His willingness to take a quick look (and his easy knowledge of how to consider fixing it) were spectacular. He has made a faithful customer out of me.

I took my car to the dealship where I purchased it. They told me I had a bad oil leak and it would cost me $100.00 to have them hook up a machine to analyze it. My soN and daughter-in-law recommended Pit Stop. I made an appointment and took it in. They had it figured it out and fixed that afternoon. There were two problem one was a valve and something else. I was very happy with their work and the cost of the repair was more than reasonable. Thank you Very much PIt Stop!Service: A/C installation & repair

I had my tires shipped to this location from the distributor. They contacted me as soon as they came in and set up an appointment. Within 5 minutes of my arrival, they had my car on the lift and were hard at work. They were very friendly and helpful.Their lobby is a little lacking, and doesn't offer the same comforts of larger scale operations, but that didn't bother me. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

These guys did a great job on a tune up for my truck, and I'm glad to have it running better than ever. I have been looking for a mechanic shop who I feel won't screw me over, and I'm glad I found these guys because they are awesome. Definitely will take all my vehicles to them in the future. Also, after paying my bill, he asked if I was an ISU student and ended up giving me 15% off. He could have just lied and let me leave without the discount, but he didn't. Awesome Shop.

Went in to fix shaking and some gurgling when braking. Charged us 600 for a pair of front and rear rotors and replaced warped rotors and brake pads. About a month later, the problem was worse than when we took it in. Turns out they used cheap rotors and brake pads that warped worse than the ones before.

Louis was awesome. Very sweet nature with excellent communication. Fast service, hard working, honest. Very reasonable labor rate too. Can't say enough positive. So glad I found The Pit Stop!

i took my car here twice, the first time because it would hardly turn over when i tried to start it. turns out, it was a bad alternator, even though both oriellys and autozone told me it was fine and coreys completely neglected to mention it after doing a 90 dollar diag. pit stop found the problem the same day i took it in, and replaced it in time for me to pick it up inside a few days.the second time, i was leaking gas from somewhere. they were once again quick to find the issue (damaged return hose), and get it in driving shape. they even filled it for me, probably to find the leak (since the cost of gas was added to the repair) but it still made things a lot more convenient for me. i highly recommend these guys, they work hard and get things done.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

These are honest, hard working folks, and very competent. It is worth it to send business to folks who own and operate: The people who stand to make money from the relationship are the same ones working on your car, not some rich corporate CEO who could give a rat's butt less about you.The Pit Stop is now my shop of choice.They also have great benefits for roadside assistance you automatically get for any bill over practically nothing. It's like a freebie.

I was referred to The Pit Stop when I was having issues with my car. Now I don t go anywhere else for auto repairs. They do quality work, and are reasonably priced.
