Great customer service, they are honest and forward about issues and don t over quote you or beat around the bush! My favorite place to go to get my car some love fixin! Highly recommend!

Took our truck in, told them what was going on with it. Left it there for them to check it out, it was put inside the pen and then never moved until we had it picked up. Was charged $377. Looked at the receipt...there was a hazardous material charge and some other BS on there and then it very clearly stated a VISUAL inspection was done. Over $300 for a VISUAL inspection. One of the workers confirmed prior to picking it up that they hadn't even touched the truck. Was told the repairs would be over $12k. Spoke to the dealership and amazingly enough they quoted more like $5k, and what we were told was the issue after a VISUAL inspection wasn't even the problem. Dealerships and most other mechanics charge for a flat hour of $75 to $100 to diagnose, which typically includes hooking up to a device to see what's going on...but $377 for a VISUAL inspection.Would not recommend this shop!

I was over the top happy with the service Brent and his team did on my vehicle! We got to pass emissions and he worked up a to do list of things my car needed to have done to keep it running efficiently. It was a breath of fresh air to have an honest quote and no pressure to rush into repairs.

Nice shop but too expensive. See my costs below and make up your own mind.It is $103 to have them look at your car (waived if you have them do the work). Just know that going in.For my car he said I needed an O2 sensor, battery terminals needed to be cleaned, and an air filter. It s about $70 in parts and should take less than an hour for me (a total novice) to do myself. He quoted me $420 to do it.Nice guy but because of the prices I wouldn t go back.**edited to respond to owner**I was able to repair my car successfully for the time and price listed above, no issues a year later. I bought the part new so not sure why the part was so expensive for you. I screen my calls to avoid spammers but have no voicemails from you.

I had a pretty serious oil leak, and I had a quote from a different shop, but thought it was pretty high. ARS was recommended to me by a relative, so I gave them a shot. Brent gave me a quote that was about $80.00 less expensive. They fixed that, and did a great job. I had to call him again a few days later with a different problem - my key would not turn in the ignition. He quoted me about $310.00 to fix it. Later in the day, he called me to tell me the job was finished, but they had saved me $120.00 by replacing just the tumblers instead of the entire ignition. That also saved me from having two different keys, one for the ignition, and one for the doors. He could have charged me the original quote, but he didn't. They are honest, friendly, and professional. They get five stars from me.

I just wanted to give a big thank the owner and employee at Automotive Repair Specialist. Last week my wife took one of our vehicles to be looked at. While there she had a medical incident. Seeing her in distress, they immediately came to her aid. The episode passed and they went back to work on our vehicle. Brent the owner and Jaimie a mechanic at the shop helped her. I just wanted to thank you for taking care of my wife. I work in Boise and could not of gotten to her in time. It's rare in today's climate for people to lend a hand for people in distress let alone find good mechanics who are also good people . These gentleman epitomize those qualities. I will continue to go to Automotive Repair Specialist. Again, gentleman the Ruffin family gives you our deepest thanks.Reggie Ruffin

Disappointed, unexpected charges.. and just lost hope in humanity!Sad sad sad; is even worse do to the fact you come of 2 generations of specialty cars and high performance Vehicles.My family is just at a different State.Please Don t pay with your card there will be a $26 visa or credit charge in the top of your bill. But don t worried they would not mentioned it unless you askedSo cash only( just working the system)And they will be a $150 Estimate charge even if they already work on your vehicle.100% disappointedHeather core $870 2001Nissan ( not a Porsche)Just an every day car with $55 replacement part.What comes around will go around!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I highly recommend the team at Automotive Repair Specialist. The owner, Brent, is highly ethical, has years of experience and knowledge and always does a superb job at a competitive rate. His mechanic, Jarimie, is also very knowledgeable, hard working and takes great care of us.

I have taken two vehicles to Automotive Repair Specialist. They communicated very well before doing any work. They also maintain a very clean and organized shop which I appreciate. I will continue to use them for repairs.

RUN! Horrible ethics! This man should be ashamed of himself!! ! I took my daughter into this place, only to have the owner Brent try & take her for a ride! I got her the $85 diagnoses test done. He said it was a rare part that needed replaced & tried getting 1k dollars out of her for the part alone. When getting a second opinion, turns out she only had a bad SPARK PLUG that needed replaced!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!

Great shop - very detail oriented and thorough. Brent and his guys are the only shop I will take my family's vehicles to for service and repairs in the Nampa, Meridian, and Boise area.

Dont take your vehicle here trying to save money by avoiding the dealership, not going to happen. Either find a reputable mechanic, or go to the dealership and you will be better off!

I know every company wants to make money ....... Really, I was quoted $1100 ..but a reliable mechanic I found did it for less then $200 parts included
