Stayed two nights. Park is easy in, easy out.Our site was level, clean and plenty large enough for our fifth wheel. Staff are real friendly and helpful. Evenings were quiet. The dog park was very nice and well kept. All in all we enjoyed our time there. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

This place was great. Offering full hook ups at the most affordable price. Staff could not have been more accommodating and kind. They would have done anything to make our stay more enjoyable. I ll be back. It s a great stop over right off the expressway.

I could have given this establishment an easy 5 star rating if it weren't for the lady working this morning, who interrogated my HIGHSCHOOLERS about riding their bikes. Asking them multiple times if they "lived here" and if "they were sure they were staying here". Then proceeded to tell my husband she was NOT being rude, when I could see the scowl on her face. DO BETTER. Everything else at the park was great. Bathrooms, clean as a whistle. Playground nice and maintained. Dog Park cute and fun. Laundry room was spacious with 3 working washers and two good dryers. I won't be back again, but maybe if you don't have kids, things are different.I appreciate the response to this review by Carla. That speaks volumes!

Good overnight spot, but needs some TLC to bring it up to par. Lots of long term residents. Tree trimmers showed up at 8am to trim trees (really?). Residents don't pay attention to park rules...several dogs off leash. Low water pressure due to everyone watering their lawns.

Great park! Carla makes you feel like part of the family. The park is well cared for, the restrooms are clean and the grounds are wonderful. Great place to stay and enjoy the surrounding area.

Can be noisy with train tracks near by and a cement plant, however, the showers are great, the staff is friendly, and it's conveniently located.

Not a nice campground at all. Next to an industrial area. Rough looking neighborhood. Playground had no swings on the swing set or ball on the tether ball pole. No hot water and no internet.

We are full-time RV'ers and review every park we stay in. This park was quiet, but the ground was dirt, with some grass between sites. Lots of rigs parked close together, but saw almost no people. Office staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Wifi is included but worthless. Inexpensive for full hookups for a night.

We are the only ones tent camping, which we know is super wierd. But have a large family and a small budget. This was perfect for us. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to use even though we reserved tent spots we were still treated very well. The shower and bathroom areas are very clean and would highly recommend Gem State Rv park to anyone in our same situation.

This is not a good RV park, if you want calm quiet stress free relaxation. This RV park is in the middle of downtown and are on poorly maintained dirt parking pads. Expect a lot of stop signs when getting to your destination, with heavy traffic, and people parked on the street. We were told we would have a pull through, but when we got there we found that they were parking another RV directly behind us, a little travel trailer. When I rent a space, I expext to rent it all.We also had people drive their motorcycles up onto our driveway to get around other vehicles. People were washing their vehicles out front, had unattended dogs chained out front, it was just a very UN unrelaxing atmosphere. I will say from what I met of the staff they were very nice and cordial. I just wish they had a much better park.

For us, Gem State was a quick overnight between OR and City of Rocks and worked fine for our needs. It s a pretty typical commercial CG with lots of long-term campers, but they offer large, level, pull-throughs for short-term stays. The staff is nice, town (groceries, gas, etc) is close, and our night was pretty quiet (one neighbor circled the park on his trike for a while, but that was the worst of it). While the CG was clean, the lot is a mix of dirt and grass, and overall it feels a little dated/run down. Their nightly rate is $37.80 with Good Sams.

This was a "gem!" In the rough. It's an older campground, so gravel spots are not crisp and clean. However, I would highly recommend you it out if staying in the area. Good pricing, facilities are good and great, involved owners. Connected to 50A plug and had power issues. After checking out our power monitor, told Robin we had an issue. Electrician was there in 5 minutes and fixed shortly thereafter (CB had failed). Great response. They care about their campground and it shows!

**Update - Thank you for responding. The decision does make sense, but an email heads-up would have been nice.**Not great. We reserved space #18 ( a pull through with hookups) online which was quick and easy. We reserved for Friday and Saturday nights. We both worked on Friday so we got in after 8pm. We stopped at the check in and there was park map with our name on it and the #5 taped on the wall. We drove over to the pull through that we reserved, #18 and someone else was parked there. So we called the number on the website and got an answering machine. I left a message with my number and asked them to call back... they didn't. I had also emailed before or trip to let them know we'd be in late and asked what the process was for late check in. They didn't email back. We ended up parking in space #5, which was NOT a pull through... and NOT the spot we reserved. It was fine, the hookups work great. The wifi wasn't strong enough for streaming, but that wasn't a big deal. If you plan to use the cable you should bring a cord to hook it up (we didn't). There were a few shady characters that look like they live there, which wouldn't be a problem except their sites looked pretty cluttered with junk. The train is LOUD, but we only really noticed it right before falling asleep and early in the morning. All in all, not terrible, but not great.

The tenants are amazing and super cool and nice. I would definitely stay there rather than a hotel. The best camping experience i had and enjoyed it very much. Those who wrote negative comments, dont listen to them. The wreck room was awesome and the bathroom with shower was gorgeous. The tenants care about their customers. Definitely would go back and stay a hundred times and there is a park nearby.

My kids and I stayed here in one of their cabins. We came in after hours and called to get the cabin. The guy showed up quickly and was very nice. The campground and facilities are well-kept. No complaints at all. I'll be passing through there again next weekend and I'll be looking to stay again!

First official day here has been amazing. Karla and JR are some of the nicest people I have meet in a while. All the neighbors have been friendly and inviting. Smiles and waves everywhere. Its nice to be in a small town again.

Stayed here overnight, was just great for my purposes. Easy in and out. Caution: lots of kids on trikes who don't always know how hard it is to see them from my truck. It's worst near the office bldg so be careful. And the roadway is pretty tight at that particular place coming or going. I was actually surprised by the lack of campsite courtesy, kids cutting through sites, and throwing frisbees and hitting my trailer, etc. Also ignoring quiet times. This isn't the campground hosts at fault, for sure. But the sites are close together and there are no trails to/from the office area so it's bound to happen.I give this RV Park a good recommendation and will stay here again if I have the chance.

Just a quick overnight but we have stayed many times in the past when it was a KOA. Still a nice place to stay. One of the best camping stories I tell happened here. We had the pleasure of watching some German tourists attempt to grill bacon and hash browns and the bacon kept falling through the grates and catching fire then the swearing in German Awesome! Plus there used to be a whistle that blew at 5am at the cement plant right next door.

The campground itself was very nice and the sites were large. My only complaint was that the railroad tracks were very close and the noise kept me up all night. Then the rock yard accross the street starts at 5am. Obviously not the campgrounds fault but definitely something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper like myself

Not good. Stay someplace nicer. Advertised internet. Internet kept kicking me off. Just say no internet. Stacked in like sardines. Do yourself a favor and stay at the state park.

Arrived after hours, prepaid, no packet telling us where to park, no access codes for restrooms and showers, no answer or call back on message left asking where to park. Ok park, but very unprofessional in service for late arrivals. We are reading musicians and stay in a lot of RV parks around the country and never have been left out not knowing where to park, especially after pre paying to ensure a site. Not sure I would stay here again.
