Great service and good prices. Really appreciate their availability to work on my vehicle sooner than other shops. They seem very efficient and gave me extra explanation where needed. Also, the diagnostic and estimate online system is really helpful. I chose them over going back to the dealership again and and very happy I did.

I have been dealing with an issue on my Cadillac for almost a year. I had discussed with the dealer ship and they wanted to charge a large amount just to diagnose the issue. I read several different forums and discovered that others had also had the same issue. So now I at least had an idea of what the repair was. I had called several repair shops to get a quote only to be treated like I didn't know anything.. Was even told as much. I came across John's Auto via a referral. Kevin was amazing. Very polite and was super helpful. Most places couldn't even get my car in for 2 weeks. Kevin was able to get my car in, diagnosed and repaired in 2 days. This was a labor intensive repair. I can not say enough great things about John's Auto. I am so thankful for all of you. You have gained a customer for life.

I love this place! They're awesome, professional, reliable. They always let me know what something is going to cost before they do it to my car (wiper blades, new air filter, repairs). I'm never shocked at what I'm paying because they're always upfront about it

Very nice people, Brenden and Kevin were very knowledgeable and answered my questions. They wanted to make sure, I was satisfied with there work. They made sure if there was anything wrong with the car, to let them know. And they would help get right on it. I'll continue having John's Auto Care Center service my vehicles for sure.

Had a great experience! They were very helpful and honest and did everything they could to help me out. My car had trouble right before going home to Utah and they took complete care of me with my limited time and were thorough and quick. Very grateful for them.

People are nice and they did a good job however when I was on the phone I was told it would be a flat $1,000, i even repeated the price and then when they finished the couple hour job they then proceeded to tell me it was $1,873 and argued with me that they never said $1,000 but of course I had to pay the $1,873 to get my car back. All they did was replace my water pump and serpentine belt and flush my coolant, i wouldn't be leaving this review if they'd told me that much to begin with and not change the price after they did it. I will not be coming back to this place and do not recommend for this reason.

We really appreciated Johns Auto Repair! We were staying at the KOA across the street when we realized we had a hose leaking out our antifreeze. They fixed our truck in a timely matter which we really appreciated since we were planning on leaving the next day to continue on our trip. They were efficient and very friendly! Thank you!

John's Auto Care installed a full set of plugs and coils in my 2006 Toyota about 31 months ago. They warranty their work and installed products for 36 months. Coil number 5 died a few months after installation and they replaced it for free. Last week it died again. Not their fault. I think that coil is subject to excess heat that shortenes it[s life span. They replaced it and the plug at that location. No charge and I had a decent loaner car for the day it took them to do the job. They are honest and do good work. I recommend you get a quote from them if your vehicle needs work. I will definitly use them when I need auto repair.

I have been taking my vehicle to John's Auto Care for well over 10 years. I have never been disappointed with the service I received, they have always been straightforward and honest about what did or did not need to be done. They have honored any guarantee that has come with the service provided. Any time my vehicle is in for service they provide me with a loaner car so I can continue to go about my daily routine.Brendan, Kevin, John and the whole team are a great bunch of guys. I explained the situation, they took the time to hear me out. They made notes and when I dropped my car off the next day, they still had all the information. They did the work in pretty much the way I wanted it done, and in a very good timeframe, too. Always painful to have a big bill you weren't expecting but they worked with me the best they could and did great work on my car. Most thorough check-up anyone has done on my car (even after asking for an all over inspection!)Just know they are high-end so if you cannot afford it, go elsewhere. I did not know at first but the work was worth it.

I would highly recommend this auto care center! Brandon was so friendly and professional, he took very good care of my car and was extremely helpful over the phone! They were able to fix my car within 24 hours of calling and gave me a very accurate quote ahead of time! I was in a predicament and had to have my car fixed quickly. John's Auto Shop came highly recommended by a personal friend and patron who has relied on them for the last 10 years. I was not disappointed! My car was towed Sunday. They got to it first thing Monday morning and by the end of the day, my car was ready for a road trip. They are professional, competent and quick! I called John's Auto with a steering issue on my 1998 Chevy S10. They were able to get me in immediately, and were able to not only get the parts and the work done quickly, but they were very professional and straightforward with me on costs and gave me realistic expectations. Not only did they surpass those expectations but went above and beyond to get me back on the road much sooner than I had hoped for. Thank you for helping out in my time of need!

This company is a scam. My husband took his car there to get his AC & Heater fixed back in November. His heater worked throughout winter but when summer came he realized his AC didn t work still. He called Johns Auto and they told him that they can t do anything for him even though what they did the first time never worked. My husband took his car in and they quoted him 1800 and told him that his AC lines were leaking. We took the car into Metro on Eagle and Ustick and they looked at it and come to find out his lines aren t leaking they just recharged his AC. This company is a scam and has about the worst customer service. I d save yourself time and money and go somewhere else if you are considering John s Auto. :)

I called around to almost every shop in meridian and was feeling pretty defeated until I called johns auto care. Not only were they incredibly nice, extremely helpful, but they also gave me updates on what was wrong with my car and even included pictures. They asked what was wrong and just based on my description they knew immediately what was wrong. By far the best price on getting my car fixed and I'm so happy I chose them. I'll definitely be back anytime I need my car fixed, and I just wanted to say for anyone reading this that I never leave reviews.....they were that nice!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Kevin and Brendon are fantastic! Their straight forward approach is highly appreciated and if anybody needs a good, honest mechanic. I suggest johns auto in Meridian. Buying a vehicle from out of state. Brendon was able to fit me in next day. I received a 5 page report with notes, recommendations, and summary of the vehicle's health. Their team even called me to walk through the report. For never setting foot in their shop, and being 5 hours away, I felt like this place was the best possible shop to work with.Would 1000% recommend to anyone. Wish these guys were in my hometown. I cannot express enough gratitude towards this family owned service shop that got us back on the road so quickly. We had serious issues with our truck as we were heading back to Canada from a 4,000 mile trip. On Sunday we limped it into our campsite in Meridian, ID and noticed John s Auto Care on the corner. In desperation I left a voicemail and did an online appointment request as well. Even though they were closed being a Sunday, that same evening I received confirmation of our appointment for the next morning at 7:30 am. We were met by the friendliest, most understanding staff who kept us apprised of the progress by text, which linked to a constantly updating form/page. They even gave us a free loaner car. We got our truck back before 4:00 pm the same day, with a fully detailed invoice and a personal discussion with the mechanic who worked on our truck. The invoice was reasonable and the peace of mind when we left was second to none.Service: Electrical repair

Well. I wasn t going to leave a review but I got a text message from John s asking me to review my latest experience at Johns Automotive. Let me start by saying they were great on my previous visit but this last one not so much. I took my van in because it was overheating on hot days and especially when the air conditioning was on. They initially told me it would be $150 for the diagnosis. The diagnosis was that it was a bad fan clutch. I approved the repair. They contacted me and said that the repair did not solve the problem and that they were going to investigate further. They came back and said that I needed new head gasket at an estimate of $3000. Couple hours later they called back and said that they thought that I needed to also have the heads refinished at the machine shop and that it would be closer to $5000. That was pretty disheartening considering the van was only purchased a couple months earlier for $3000. I told them I didn t want to put that kind of money into it. But something didn t sit well with me so I took it to another shop whose name I will not mention because it s irrelevant. They diagnosed it as a bad fan clutch and a clogged up radiator both on the outside and partially on the inside. They detected absolutely zero exhaust emissions in the cooling system after testing it repeatedly, so my head gaskets were not bad after all. So at the end of the day my experience at Johns cost me over $400 in diagnostic and labor and I left with the van in the same condition as when I arrived with an apparent faulty diagnosis. My vehicle was fixed elsewhere after it was properly diagnosed and it is running just fine now. So that was my last experience. It was an expensive visit with zero resolution and improper answers. Had I gone through with the recommended repairs I would ve had a van that had a new head gasket but the problem would not have been fixed and I would ve been out $5000 plus the cost of a new radiator once they would have figured it out. But I will say that the people there seem to be very kind and I don t think they were trying to deceive me. I think they just got it wrong this time. I m leaving a three star on this review. Because they have done well by me in the past.

Check Engine Light - Working on a diesel truck is expensive no matter where you take it. The best part of John's Auto Care is they squeeze you in a hurry. You could wait for a month or two at a Ford dealership. John's tells you up front what it's going to cost and if they run into problems they let you know. And the work is guaranteed for three years.PS In my opinion a truck should not be disabled because of emission problems.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testing

I had bought a new vehicle and wanted a thorough inspection. I brought it in because of a ticking noise from the engine bay. I thought it was maybe the timing chain. They told me anything and everything was wrong with the car. Said the bearings in my transfer case were shot and the whole thing needed replaced. Nope perfectly fine. Said I had either bad lifters or oil pump. Again nope perfectly fine. Wanted all hose lines replaced because they looked original. Did find the broken bolt on the driver side exhaust manifold (actual source of engine ticking noise) but not the one on the passenger side. Said my power steering gear box needed replaced. Again just fine. Only things wrong with the vehicle was a loose heat shield on the exhaust system and the broken bolt in both the manifolds. They gave me a total quote for 25k roughly. Transfer case alone they told me was minimum 4k for a remanufactured unit, possibly 5k, and another 1k for labor. I ended up pricing out all their fixes. They on average were charging a 4x mark up on parts, and their labor fees are about double most other shops. This could be because they offer an extensive warranty on their work but in my opinionit doesn't warrant such a large price hike. Especially with their lack of integrity and overall dishonesty. I would highly advise against this place. It seems they try to prey on people they suspect of having limited car knowledge and overall not an honest shop. Auto shops like this place are why auto mechanics have a bad reputation.Service: Vehicle Inspection

My water pump went out on my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 with 9100 miles on it. I was supposed to be driving from meridian ID to Corona CA that day. The GMC dealer said they couldn t do warranty work until after the weekend possibly Monday or Tuesday, which being it was a Friday Morning meant I was going to have to sit waiting for at least 4 days before making the 13 hour drive.I called Johns auto repair and they took me right in, and actually had to get the water pump from the same dealer that was going to make me wait. On top of all this I had my sons school graduation which ended at 4:30 and John s closed at 5pmThey completed the repairs by 4:30 pm and we received the truck before 5pm.We made the 13 hour drive the next morning with no further problems.They do great work, and really took care of me. I wish they were close to my home so I could use them all the time.Highly recommendService: Engine repair
