I drove in with my engine having trouble shifting and the gentleman at the front took it to the side and filled it up with transmission fluid, I have a transmission leak. Very nice of him to do that on the spot, I heard him tell someone on the phone they were two weeks out. But he charged me for labor, and I still have the leak but overall nice service!

I have had Steve and his staff service my vehicles for a few years and am nothing but pleased with them. I haven t had anything too extensive done but I feel that I can rely on them to do the work right for a fair price, especially given that they are in an area that s expensive to live in.My quandary is that I am about to move to the Treasure Valley and will have to travel 100 miles for their services. We ll see how that works out.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

Very ethical , professional and helpful. The coolant in my radiator was all over my engine when I arrived in McCall from Boise. I couldn't find the problem and I was very concerned. I looked up mechanics on the internet and took it to Alpine, not knowing much about them. They were extremely busy and booked with business, but they still came out to my truck anyway to look at the problem. They quickly identified it was a busted radiator cap. They also ran a pressure test to be sure and confirmed it. I am very thankful and appreciative of these very professional owners.Service: Engine repair

I had my car taken to them to change out my clutch plates on an automatic transmission. They said it wasn't possible because they were inside the transmission and that they would have to replace my whole transmission and it would cost 5400 dollars. I told them that's wrong. I had it towed to Boise and my dealership Combs where they made the repairs for 1200 dollars. Car is running good now at a fraction of the cost.

The folks at Alpine have been taking care of my 07 Forester for the last three years. They identified a problem that 5 other mechanics never could pin down and have helped me get my Subie back up into excellent running condition. Their proces are fair and they communicate well. I highly recommend this shop.

About 3 days into a between Xmas & NYE 20 McCall/Brundage vacation with my daughter, my 07 Volvo XC70 refused to start in the hotel parking lot. Temps were down to -5 that morning! Winter & nearly 500 miles from home - worst time for car issues! Ended up getting towed to Alpine (thanks to Steve s Automotive tow truck driver recommendation). Due to impending work & school responsibilities, we had to take the bus to Boise a couple days later (NYE) then fly home to Portland. Despite their heavy workload of numerous disabled vehicles getting towed to their shop over the holidays, Alpine got right to work on my car & Rochelle in the front office kept me in the loop with updates by phone. They ended up changing out the starter, spark plugs, 2 ignition coils, replacing various fried wires, oil change, and more. After flying back to Boise/taking bus up to McCall, I picked up my car a couple days ago in the midst of a pretty good snowstorm. The car is now driving beautifully & starts more crisply than it ever has! The 460+ mile drive back to Portland yesterday was smooth sailing! The car has over 230K miles on it & is just getting started! Thank you Alpine for your expertise in getting my car running as good as it ever has! I m used to all my maintenance & repairs being done in a SE Portland Volvo specialty shop. You guys clearly demonstrated that you can perform repairs on par with shops that work exclusively on Volvo s. Much appreciated & I plan to put in a good word for your shop whenever I can!-Doug in Portland, OR

6 days ago I had my car towed to Alpine automotive. They called the next day with a 586 dollar quote. I asked him, is it worth fixing or am I going to have immediate problems with it? Should I junk this car or fix it? He said not, I wouldn t junk it. It needs a new radiator and thermostat. 6 days later I got stranded yet again and found out that it wasn t really the radiator or the thermostat, it s a 3 thousand dollar head gasket and the car is JUNK.

Glad to have these guys work on my rig. Gave a quote and stuck by it. A few items popped up unexpected which you can expect on any used vehicle. Very honest and transparent. I will refer Miles, Steve and the crew to anyone.

Fast and friendly service. Mechanics are very knowledgeable too. A little expensive but they took my little rot box in at 4:30 on a Friday and had it done in 2 days. Happy to pay more for that!

They diagnosed and replaced my A/C condensor when it gave up o the route to to McCall. It would have been a long hot drive home if not for their quick service. Thank you, Alpine.

Great park! Nice equipment and clean area. Also has fun stands with information about the local plants. There are pictures to make reading fun for kids. Also a nice picnic area.
