I took my transmission to Affordable Transmission to look at a problem that I was having, and I must say that the owner, took care of the issue right there on the spot. I m sure he already had a busy schedule and other repairs that needed attention to, but he took the time to take care of my issue without hesitation. It s rare these days to find a shop or a person that is willing to drop what they are doing and take care of an issue. I recommend Affordable Transmission for whatever transmission problem you re experiencing, they are awesome and most of all affordable and honest. I will definitely be back if I ever have a problem. My Jeep went into limp mode suddenly weekend before last. Affordable transmission got me in right away Monday and figured out the problem. They didn t have the part it needed in stock but got one in quickly and had my Jeep ready to go by Friday (a pleasant surprise to me considering it took the dealer 2 months to fix a different issue last summer). They kept me informed throughout the process and were honest about the price. I would absolutely recommend this shop!

I will recommend this shop to literally every person I meet with auto troubles. I took my diesel truck to several shops to get quotes on an oil leak and do my due diligence. The quotes ranged from $9,000 to $12,000 because apparently the oil was all over and was seemingly leaking from many different locations so the engine had to be pulled. My last stop was Affordable Transmission. Right away, I got the sense that these were honest, hard-working, good old boys if that makes sense. First, they cleaned off the engine to get a better look. They were able to ascertain that 99% of the oil was leaking from only one location and was being blown about by wind and driving and fans so it seemed a lot worse than it was. They replaced the needed part and also did an additional fix to stop some front end vibration I had. Ended up costing me $1,200. And no, I didn t forget a zero. That s the difference between typical auto shops and the honest workers at Affordable Transmission & Auto Repair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Definitely one of the best shops, they are honest straightforward, and there work is great, I had a couple leaks, power steering, transmission and oil, they got right on it and did it within a great timely manner, my trucks running really smooth and the front counter guy Mike was really straightforward and polite thank you guys for the great service.. if I had to recommend anyone to a shop this shop would definitely be my first pick!! Give them a chance to show you their amazing work!!

Last week I was heading go work when my 2014 Fiat had mechanical issues that had me at a total stop.Came the next day thought I would be able to drive my vehicle to there place of business since I already had to tow the car once from around the corner of my home the previous day.Well I made it a bit further but not good enough and had to call a tow truck .Shout out to Rocky Mountain Tow btw.:)This Tow company who works with this company came in handy and fair price to tow my car to the Automotive shop.I just picked up my vehicle yesterday and it was a module they replaced.I am happy with the service , too and communication .Im grateful to have them in Kuna and close by .I would return to have them service my vehicle.Happy 2023 Thanksgiving guys.

I had an incredibly good experience with this shop. My truck needed a new starter. We had to wait for a part to arrive which took an extra day. And when I stressed to them that I needed my truck back to avoid getting a rental car they moved me to the front of the line. They went above and beyond for me and they did a great job. I was recommended to talk to this place about a transmission issue i was having and as i walked in the door i was greeted by a very respectful man. He than helped me set up an appointment and i am very satisfied with the custom service I received. :)

Great shop, and great customer service. They were able to sort out an electrical issue with my transmission that I wasn't able to trace. Mechanics were thorough and made sure everything was working properly before returning my truck.

Brought my son's truck in for a few issues - all were worked out amid some extensive troubleshooting for a starter issue. Evan did a great job and kept me updated on everything. Took my car in on 8/2 for an A/C problem. They called me back within a couple hours to let me know the problem and cost. My car was ready first thing on 8/3!Very friendly and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back when needed!

The individual I spoke to on the phone told me to bring my vehicle out anytime for a test drive for a better understanding of the issues at hand. I drove all the way out to Kuna the next day from downtown Boise to have that test drive on my vehicle. Once out there I had to wait for :15 min for the owner to get back to the shop, once he returned I was informed he was too busy to see me. Then the office guy had the audacity to tell me I should make an appointment. Yes, I did, with another shop. Cheers.

I took my vehicle in for service and got a call with a small list of things that needed to be done. They were very polite and courteous and had the repairs done the next day. BUT, when I picked it up (after hours) the problem I took it in for was still very much present when I drove it home.I took it back early the next morning and spoke to Craig about my concerns. He took ownership of the issue and personally saw that it was corrected quickly. I appreciated his professional, courteous manner and that he did everything he could to make it right. I'll be back.

I have taken all my vehicles to them multiple times. They have always been extremely nice and very fairly priced. Knew this was they shop for me when I called and asked for a trans service and they explained they will not do a flush and that they always do a drain and fill. Nice to have a local shop I can trust. Thanks.

My wife's car was not hardly driving at all. It wold shift hard. chunk when going from drive to reverse and run in neutral. While going down the freeway it would kick out of overdrive. Took it to affordable transmission in Kuna. Got a call later that day with the test results. It was not the transmission but the shift assembly. They checked the whole car at my request to see if we could improve the mph and performance. The work was done and ready to pick up on Friday, (I took it in on Wednesday), and it now runs better then it ever has. Most importantly the price was right.While picking up her car I dropped my truck off to have the check engine light looked at. Again great service that was fast and very reasonably priced.KUDOS TO THIS SHOP FOR THE EXCELLENT WORK

Never had a problem with their work. I've had several vehicles in for repairs. They did a major tune up on my truck which I then used for several months. Then the truck sat unused for about two years. When I tried to use it again it ran very rough. I took it back to Affordable. They stood behind the work (after 2 1/2 years), replaced the almost unused spark plug wires and had the engine running smooth as a top -- and no charge!! I couldn't have been happier with their work and integrity.

I had issues with my Ford Focus for a long time. Ford wouldn t warranty it anymore so I had these guys rebuild it. They did other work to my car too and I couldn t say how well they explained why the transmission was a flawed design. Took my truck in for check light issue. They replaced an evap pump for somewhere in the 400 dollar range. Light came back on less than two weeks later, couldnt get me in that week made an appointment took my truck in didnt hear anything that whole day, called next day they didnt get to it....whats the point of making an appointent? They have been fair and timley on two other occasions. This time i am very dissaponted in there service and customer service.

Really nice people and the cost was great! Had a ton of problems with my Mariner and from research online I thought for sure it would cost an arm and a leg. I was definitely pleasantly surprised and now it runs super smooth! Well, as smooth as an 06 can run anyway (haha). They even waived the diagnostic fee and labor for one of the repairs which was super awesome! Only downside is that they get booked up fast, but I guess that makes sense with all the 5 star reviews. Will definitely go back here for future repairs!

Absolutely wonderful place! Always willing to help the best they can. My father went here and got his transmission done, and I've had a bunch of different stuff done! With more to come!!! Not good. I brought it in to get transmission serviced for 120,000 miles, and to find the source of a coolant leak. The leak was in the left front of engine compartment. They called and said the water pump was bad and that it needed a timing belt, and that with the transmission service it would be 1016.00.When we picked up the car I discovered that they had taken out my brand new spark plugs and replaced them to the tune of 101.00. This made me nervous so I started checking furthe . The transmission fluid was overfilled and dirty, definitely not flushed. I cant see any evidence that the water pump was replaced, but I doubt it was the source of the leak since it is in the back right of the engine compartment, opposite side from the leak. So something doesn't sound right there.The biggest problem is that they had a really bad attitude and would not give me any information or listen to me. I guess I'm just an idiot

This is the only place I trust to take my vehicle. For years I did most of my own repairs but lately just don't have the time or patience to do it. Keith is always fair and right on with the diagnosis and the quote. Most of the repairs have actually come in under his estimate. In fact one time they took my vehicle for a day or two trying to get a intermittent problem to occur and when it didn't happen I was charged nothing despite all the time they took trying to get the problem to occur. I even took it to a Ford dealership the next time the problem occurred and they couldn't find the problem after having the vehicle for a full week but I was defiantly charged for that and they tried to up sell a break job and oil change while they were at it. Never again, from now on it's Affordable Transmission only!

I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!! I took my jeep to them after being told the transmission lines were leaking and they needed to be replaced. They charged me $400 to replace the lines (2) and have the transmission serviced. Less than 2 weeks later I started leaking transmission fluid really bad. I took it to a mechanic friend to find that they only replaced 1 line and when they dropped the pan to do the service they stripped a bolt. Instead of re-threading it they just put silicone around the bolt and called it good causing the pan to leak fluid as well. They also tried to have me come back and pay $700 to have my "leaking" radiator replaced and spark plugs changed. They are liars and crooks. So disappointing for such a small town business. I had higher hopes. Don't waste your money there.

In my experience, most auto mechanics are crooks. Not these guys. They are honest people who do quality work at half the cost of the dealer. My car hasn't driven this good in a long time. I highly recommend them to anyone with car troubles.

The owners of affordable transmission, are the most dependable, and honest people i know. They are a family runed bussiness. If you want a place to take your vehicle where the owners truly care and want to help at good prices and quality work i would recommend them. Ive been taking my car to them the last 3 year's for tune ups, i haven't had any car troubles. Im very happy :)

I recently moved to Idaho and had to have emissions done. This is was great. They explained how it's done and didn't have to wait at all. I will definitely return as a customer if needed.

I highly recommend coming here. Definitely saved me so much and fixed my car but made sure everything was fine. With a Volkswagen and the tricky clutches they had no problem, and didn't do more to try and get money out of me. Call them, you WON'T be disappointed!!!

I have had my car, boyfriend's car, and several friend's cars in here and always loved the honesty coming from the mechanics.His aunt had her car in for a squeaking belt that turned out to be a leaking water pump. They called her and told her it was still under warranty, the warranty would cover it and didn't want to have her pay for something she was covered for.Another friend had an engine blow up a few months after they fixed warped heads. They could not find an engine for it as it was way too old. Not only did they not charge her to check it out again, they refunded her payments from the previous repair and said they did not feel right charging her.These guys are great and will definitely tell you what is actually wrong. Dealerships have quoted $1100 to fix "evaps leaks" and these guys fixed it with hose and some clamps for $200. Not only would I recommend but highly suggest them.
