Chip is a waste of time if you have a vintage RV refrigerator that has conked out, which was my problem. He came out to my camper and spent pretty much no time looking at the refrigerator, and I had left him a detailed note on the tests and maintenance I had run and what I thought the problem was. He basically just announced that I should replace it, as the refrigerator was vintage, without checking over it. My friends who I am staying with were appalled at how lackadaisical and superficial he was during the brief visit. When I called him to ask for my service call money back, since he just as easily could have just said the refrigerator was likely not worth repair over the phone, he refused. He said the condensers don't last, which is a strange comment since RV fridges that run on propane and electric have a heater and a flue, not a condenser, which is only on residential refrigerators. He said when I asked for a refund that he installs and removes refrigerators, but doesn't service them, so I have no idea why he wasted both of ours time -- just to get $50 for a service call? He was borderline rude on the phone, saying no one was going to tell him how he was going to run his business. As a final note, he doesn't do texts or email, so was unable to receive a link that I found to a video on what I thought the repair was.Regarding David's reply, on behalf of Chip, below: He writes, "It was apparent right away it can not be salvaged." There is no way to tell at a glance whether a Dometic can be salvaged or not without running tests. Note the frustrating lack of detail and facts here -- these brothers just don't have any expertise to even say how they reached their conclusion. Regarding the $100 service fee claimed by a previous repairman in the area, it was $75, and that repairman was and is a consummate professional, who would not accept the fee if he couldn't help a customer. To continue, David, who was not in on the phone call, claims that Chip handled my phone call after the fact professionally, and that I was rude. That's hearsay from his brother, who frankly doesn't have a bit of credibility. It was the other way around. "All Chip said in reply was he would rather do business with people who are more professional." Ah no, he told me to hang up, remove his phone number from my contacts, and never contact him again. I couldn't believe my ears, Chip can run his business that way if he wants, but his days in this line of work will be numbered. There may or may not be an email address listed on the website, apparently Chip doesn't know this or doesn't want to be bothered, because I specifically asked for his email to send him a repair video, and he said there was none.Service: Air conditioning

I met Chip and his cousin after I called about my RV electrical issue. The wiring was messed up and everything was operating in reverse. After locating the short (Which led to the battery) He had it fixed fast and on my way. Great guy! Very nice and friendly. This is why I am giving him 5 stars. Thanks Chip!
