Overall, a good place to stay in Ketchum. Staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean, and the complimentary breakfast buffet had a decent selection to choose from.On the downside, the furnishings in the room are just OK. The lone chair was hard as a rock, and the bed was pretty soft... Somewhere in between for both would have been way better. As a bonus, the location is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, drug store, and even a grocery.Additionally, the shuttles to skiing and airport are a very nice amenity (appreciated, but we drove). Speaking of driving, the underground parking with elevator that goes directly to room levels, was convenient and somewhat secure, and while $25 a night isn't nothing, it's far less than I've paid in "cities", so begrudgingly accepted.Yes, I'd stay here again, but the furniture could be more comfortable.

I rarely write reviews but in this case it would be a sin if I didn't. My research indicated that this was a 4 star hotel in Ketchum Idaho Whoever rated it a 4 star is out of their mind. This is a 5 star hotel in every sense. The ambiance of the lobby, patio and room was just beautiful. I sit here writing this review on our last morning drinking coffee and enjoying the beautiful mountain view's in front of us. The lobby is beautifully decorated with a couple of modern design fire places. The complimentary breakfast is everything you could ask for including omelet's, eggs, bacon, sausage and anything else you would expect. The red salsa that I used on my eggs was especially tasty. The service starts with the hotel manager Denny. He treats you like a person would treat a guest at your home. As we were enjoying our coffee this morning he came out and greeted us. He remembered we were leaving and came out to say goodbye. His staff really understand what great customer service is and everyone one of them from the housekeepers to the wait staff to the bar tenders to the front desk always have a smile. They are all so genuinely nice and attentive.Limelight has probably been the most enjoyable hotel stay we've ever had.Book a stay. You won't be disappointed.Rooms: Clean and modern decor. Beautiful.Nearby activities: Hiking, fishing, sking, snowmobiling are all within close driving distance.Walkability: The hotel sits on Main St. in the center of town. You can walk to restaurants very easily.Food & drinks: Happy hour between 3p and 7p seven days a week.

The Limelight Hotel in Ketchum is possibly the best hotel experience I ve ever had. My family and I recently traveled to ski at Sun Valley and everything about Limelight is top class. It s less than a 5 minute drive to the slopes of Dollar or Bald Mountain. The restaurant is excellent. The rooms are pristine. We plan on visiting Sun Valley for years to come and I cannot imagine staying anywhere other than Limelight!

Everything about the Limelight is wonderful. Architecture, service, staff, food, rooms, cleanliness, etc. Gorgeous room! They had ice cold beer waiting in my room because it was my birthday. They had asked my wife if I liked anything special. Nice touch!Loved every minute. Gorgeous lobby and hot tubs too! They also have a huge locals discount for Idaho residents.Nearby activities: Too many to list.Safety: Very safe.Walkability: Walk to almost everything from the hotel.Food & drinks: Fabulous! Even the free breakfast was very good with many options.Noteworthy details: EVERYTHING was perfect! Staff were super friendly and amazingly helpful.

Where else can you find immaculate rooms with stunning views, a great bartender (thanks Robb!), an incredibly helpful staff (who gave us much better recommendations to see the stars than the tourist center!), plus friendly locals and guests' dogs to pet and underground parking? I don't think I have ever stayed in a place in the U.S. that can compare. Loved everything about this place. Sorry I had to go home.

I ended up staying here for the first time after I showed up across the street (had a reservation) only to discover there was no night staff to check me in. So I walked across the street where Gerald was able to get me setup with a room for the night! This place is way nicer than across the street, the service is better, and they had night staff! For real, Gerald was awesome and deserves a raise.

This place shines! It is beautiful inside and out. The service was spectacular from housekeeping to the front desk, to the hotel bar. I wish I took more pictures of it but I guess I was distracted by the good time I was having! (The picture is the view from our room! Incredible) Worth every penny!Walkability: Very walkable as a number of amazing local restaurants and bars are within blocks.Food & drinks: The hotel had good food. And the breakfast that was included was one of the best free hotel breakfast I ve ever had. No joke!

A clean and open feeling greets you, as you enter the lobby, with very high ceilings and large window-walls facing out to the west, towards the view of Baldy Mountain. The room was clean, spacious evenly decorated between cozy, and just enough design elements to be interesting and present a boost of visual stimulation. The beds, pillows and sheets are high quality and comfortable, a good night's sleep is pretty close to guaranteed from those alone! The temperature is quickly settable, and the air quality and humidity remain consistent which is great for sensitive sinuses (and to compensate for the altitude)The bathrooms and showers are accommodating with good light control and excellent water streams in the shower for that much-needed-after-travel-shower!You can throw on one of the luxurious sewn robes and head downstairs to the pool area in summer or winter and relax in the hot tub or very clean pool. The concierge and front desk staff are friendly, accommodating, bright-eyed and helpful! They will give you good advice and make great recommendations for you!The kitchen has food that is a great combination of familiar and interesting new flavors of dishes. And there's a flame oven downstairs for an excellent crispy-crust personal, or family-sized pizza pie with a large variety of tasty topping combos! The bar has beer on tap that has been selected for uniqueness and flavor options and your bartender will be able to make your favorite cocktails to order as well. You will be in the heart of downtown, close to all the shopping and ski-lifts, and have walking-distance access to most of the main restaurants, nightclubs and watering holes that the local area has to offer for your enjoyment!Rooms: The room was clean, spacious evenly decorated between cozy, and just enough design elements to be interesting and present a boost of visual stimulation. The beds, pillows and sheets are high quality and comfortable, a good night's sleep is pretty close to guaranteed from those alone! The temperature is quickly settable, and the air quality and humidity remain consistent which is great for sensitive sinuses (and to compensate for the altitude)The bathrooms and showers are accommodating with good light control and excellent water streams in the shower for that much-needed-after-travel-shower!You can throw on one of the luxurious sewn robes and head downstairs to the pool area in summer or winter and relax in the hot tub or very clean pool.Nearby activities: You will be in the heart of downtown, close to all the shopping and ski-lifts, and have walking-distance access to most of the main restaurants, nightclubs and watering holes that the local area has to offer for your enjoyment!Safety: A very safe area with regard to personal safety. First visit to Ketchum but it will not be the last! The Limelight is perfectly located for walkability to everything. If you don t want to walk, they have a shuttle around town and also to/from the airport. The rooms are well designed, modern and offer tons of storage, a kitchenette, the best mattress!, wonderful deep tubs, excellent lighting and all have views of mountains. Many have outdoor spaces and some with fireplaces.Fresh Breakfast is included and it rotates daily. High quality ingredients and multiple offerings. They use Lavazzo coffee (my fav!).There is a nightly happy hour and dinner indoors and out, as well as room service. Everything we tried was really good. The wine list is extensive. There is also live music most nights. There is a gym, pool and hot tubs. Great meeting spaces and many areas to work while you are enjoying Sun Valley. The best attribute is the wonderful staff! Everyone is happy, amazingly kind and helpful.I stayed an extra 4 nights though I had an offer to stay at a friends.I didn t not have one complaint and I am picky.I will return for an even longer stay. Limelight was just perfect!

We were just there last week with a ski club group of about 40+. EVERYTHING was A+, especially the service. Everyone from the shuttle drivers, front desk personnel, bar tenders, dining room servers, house keeping, etc. were very pleasant and helpful. Not one bad interaction/experience all week. As a group leader, it's nice to here nothing but accolades about the property we chose. The rooms and facilities (pool, hot tubs, Fitness center, ski room, etc.) were all excellent. We're looking forward to a future stay at one of their other properties. And the location was also prime!

Not a bad place to stay if you like to ski. Biggest knock is the beds and the "view." We got a luxury king and didn't know to request a mountain view, so we got placed in the middle of an intersection and the bed was SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Didn't sleep a single restful night, and the pillows are that kind that look fluffy but then they deflate into nothing and give you a migraine while trying to lay on them. That beind said, there are a couple of bright sides:- it's affordable; let's be honest this is not a luxury hotel. In some ways you get what you pay for- the staff are very nice and accommodating. They tried to move us but didn't have any rooms available. They were going to charge us for an upgrade but I assume that's policy- amenities are great: bathroom/shower, hot tub and pool are nice and big, never too crowded. Ski lockers are quick way to store boots and skis- shuttle service to the mountain is fast and reliable, never had to wait more than 5 minutes; airport shuttle is also a huge perk- hot breakfast was pretty good and gets you out and going. Coffee is great too- great location, walking distant to good restaurants- lively bar and restaurant

I think this is the best hotel in Ketchum. We like staying here when the prices aren t skyrocketed like they were the other night. It s kind of weird that they were so high because we actually stopped by and nobody was there anyway, the hotels awesome we like working in the lobby, great Internet. They also have a restaurant to serve appetizers and drinks. Lots of furniture to sit in great hotel for working him while out of town.

Haven t ever been treated like this before at a supposedly nice hotel.Dealt with an incompetent staff member at the front desk with an awful sneery/sarcastic attitude. Incompetent or she was intentionally gaslighting us. I paid extra for a superior room upon booking and was given a downgraded one without a bathtub and without the additional seating at check in. I went back to the front desk and asked for help getting into the right room because I had specifically booked a room with a tub and an additional seating area by the desk as per the floorplan on their website. She said to call Expedia which was irrelevant to the conversation because we all agreed we were supposed to have a superior room which again - is supposed to have a tub plus seating. She ended our chat with the most rude and sarcastic have a GREAT day .My feedback for this person - if you sadly can t handle basic customer service, get a job that is not customer-facing.Would not recommend a stay here.

Last year our stay at the Limelight was wonderful. Their daily breakfast and wait staff serving it remain outstanding. However, in all other areas it appears that management has fallen asleep. Had to request a room cleaning 4 times before it was done, hot tubs and pool area were not clean with kids cup floating in hot tub and murky, disgusting water. Worse, the front desk staff appeared to have no comprehension of customer service. For the 3 days we were there, a dirty cocktail glass sat on a windowsill by the elevator and used towels and beer cans littered the pool area while 3-5 staff members at the front were preoccupied with chatting with each other. The paid underground parking area is covered with layers of dirt. When asked how my stay was, the young woman checking me out responded to my stated concerns above with: bummer . A manager was always unavailable to assist. Not sure what happened to you Limelight but the cost of your rooms is far too much for this terrible customer service.

WE LOVE THIS DOG FRIENDLY HOTEL!!! Situated downtown close to everything! Even their restaurant is dog friendly! The front desk associate had dog beds and dog bowls sent up to our room.We were able to grab dinner and drinks right after we arrived. Both of our dogs felt very relaxed and at home both in our room and throughout the entire hotel!!! Thank you Limelight hotel!! We will be back soon!!

Great stay at Ketchum. Amenities are really good gym, hot tub, great bar with 4 to 6 pm happy hour daily. Delicious pizzas and complementary breakfast were delicious as well. The hotel even has complementary Audis for rent. Also has shuttle from and to dollar mountain and baldy ski lodges.

Worth noting that the recent one star reviews are not from people who actually stayed at the hotel. We had a nice time staying at the Limelight over MLK weekend. We ultimately chose it over Sun Valley Lodge because of its convenience to the town.Amenities: The shuttles to the mountain were consistent. The ski lockers were right by the shuttle and well heated and ventilated. The pool and hot tubs were never too crowded. Most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet wasn t amazing, but there were lots of options and they were good about replenishing things.Room: The room was nice. We enjoyed having the kitchenette, large bathroom, and space for shoes and jackets (with a bench) by the door. The heat was having some issues - at one point it was 66 degrees even though we had it set at 71. We also were in a Grand Deluxe king room which did have some pretty views of mountains but was mostly facing the Best Western Plus across the street and also faced Main Street which was noisy at times.Check out: I want to qualify this by saying that I don t expect hotels to always be able to accommodate late checkouts, but this situation rubbed me the wrong way. Basically, don t expect the hotel to be accommodating of late check outs. At the suggestion of the front desk when we told them our schedule, we requested a late checkout. We wanted to fit in a bit more skiing before our afternoon flight and were told we should be able to check out at 1 pm but to confirm with the front desk the morning of our departure. We checked in the morning and were then told by a different staff remember that the latest they could check us out was 12 pm and that we could leave our stuff in the hallway next to the front desk and shower in the single stall near the pool once we got back from skiing. Our keys also stopped working and the front desk was unable to extend any key access. We then sat by the front desk waiting for our airport shuttle and watched other people check out as late as 1:15. I can respect a policy, but it wasn t consistent and the woman at the front desk wasn t friendly about it. We were also checking out on a Monday so it s hard to believe other people were immediately trying to check in. Additionally, we were unable to schedule a shuttle to the airport at the time we requested and were instead given options way too early or cutting it too close (even though no one else ended up being on our too-early shuttle).Despite the annoyance at the end of the trip, we are happy we chose the Limelight. It s worth noting that this is a very kid and dog friendly hotel, which can be a pro or con depending what you re looking for. The Sun Valley Lodge is probably more of a luxury experience, but the Limelight is a good option for something still on the nicer side with some added conveniences.

This was one of our favorite hotel experiences. The staff was amazing. We went during Covid and the rooms had big tables to eat at, silverware and dishes. The hotel has 2 fabulous hot tubs and a heated pool. The hotel has 2 Audis that you can take out at no cost for 2 hours- our room had giant windows that overlooked the town and the mountains. The included breakfast was fabulous- they required masks and vaccinations which we loved

Absolutely love this hotel. Terrific location, great quality product, friendly and genuine staff, nice full breakfast included, loved the outdoor spa, and a unique opportunity to experience an electric Audi and snow shoe. Suggest you upgrade to a Limelight Suite- well worth it. We will be back!
