This is a great family owned company, my brother and husband both worked for for years. We have bought a lot, I mean a lot of outfits!! And Murphy's law I guess had to happen. One month after our guaranteed new 2021 Chevy Truck, had to have a major repair, this was Dennis's 3rd buy within 3 yrs, counting getting our son Kyler Olson into their 2017 Chevy. I would of thought they would of looked into this and taken into consideration for the price we had to pay for it's repair. Just saying...

Smith Chevrolet rocked it. I was on a multistate road trip with my dogs and started having trouble with my truck. They made trading in my old truck and getting back on the road with a new truck seamless! They treated me with respect, were honest, helpful, and made an otherwise stressful situation manageable.Mike Arnold and Brandon Aycock were amazing and made me feel at ease. They were extremely LGBTQ friendly and let me know it was ok and I was safe. That was huge!!! I can't say enough about them. I had stopped at another Chevrolet dealer in another part of Idaho prior and immediately got the vibe that it wasn't a safe space...Smith Chevrolet has my business and I will be sure to tell all my friends in the area or who are looking for a new Honda, RV or Chevrolet to go there!

My Sister & her husband bought a car here & I was surprised by the service & helpful salesman, not the typical pushy rude fake sales like across the street at Teton. Much more laid back. Even washed the car before they left with it!

Great place to come and buy a chevy or a honda. I've purchased 2 vehicles here and will always come back. Plus they do cool events such as the family fun days with the Mud bog competition! And cool car shows!

Purchased a used car 6 mo ago, had an EXCELLENT experience! So much so that I just went back last week and purchased a new car! If you ever get a chance to stop by, drive a car and talk to Junior! He's the best!**UPDATE 09/2018** Junior no longer works for the company, but the other salesmen that I've dealt with are good to.But the service department... MAN! 10/10! They are absolutely the fastest and most efficient team I've worked with.

What a breath of fresh air. I have never had such a pleasant experience at a car dealership. Brandon was not pushy, very polite and knowledgeable. Mike was likewise very informative. I will think of the Smith Group any time I have a need for a vehicle and not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Oh my gosh, where to start.SERVICE DEPARTMENTLast year: came in and got splash guards, heated steering wheel, and floor mats. Their amazing service center installed them for me.Three days ago: I bought a 2018 honda Accord Sport from Liberty gmc in rexburg idaho last year with a warranty forever and had a few issues. I was told to bring it to honda so they could get it done. I was told to bring it by on the 13th, but there was a miscommunication between the dealers. It was set up for the 20th. I had to do it on the 13th because I was leaving the next day.Honda was able to fit me in on the 13th. I was there most of the day, but I didn't care, I was bothering the sales department, and they were all the funniest and professional peeps I have seen. They are great, and hopefully, I can continue doing business with them

The salesman was great! No pressure and easy to work with. I was a little disappointed that when I left with my new car, I pointed out that the tank was empty... and they pointed me to the ExxonMobil next door. That didn't impress me.I was given unlimited car washes with my car purchase and loved it until the last time. First, it took about an hour. And when I asked them about my car... they'd literally lost it! One of the guys went to go find it. It took about 10 more minutes to figure out they'd taken it to the Honda side and not the Chevy side.I loved dealing with them in the actual purchase of my car, but everything since I signed the dotted line has been a mess. Don't know if I'll be going back or not.Edit: 7/27/2022 their social media person reached out to me. Apparently it's their policy to only give you gas if you've purchased a brand new car. Not a used one. Okay... great. But my new-to-me car was on E and they let me go out into the night. He then told me if it would make me happy, I could come over and get a gallon of gas. I told him no... I'm good.Then he asked me for the date of my car wash. I told him (thank you Google time-line). He told me they were under staffed that day. They normally had 8 workers and only 3 were working.Basically, I left more disappointed in them than initially. Based on policy, they let me leave on E at 7:00pm on February 7th.... cold and dark. Then offered a gallon to "make me happy" 4 months later.. that wasn't the point! Then offered excuses on why my car wash took an hour and my car was lost.What happened to, "I'm sorry!" ?Probably won't go back.

Not only do I buy my cars from The Smith Group, I also get my car serviced there! Taylor in the service department has wonderful customer service skills and will help you keep your car running in great shape! They are very accommodating with work schedules by picking up and dropping off your car, and will give you a full run down on what needs done on your car regarding maintenance. It is clear that Cannon Smith (the owner) cares deeply for his employees and his customers by selecting amazing associates and giving high quality services. If I could give this company 10 stars, I would!

bought a used truck. Been looking for 4 months. Had several really bad experiences with used dealers in Utah and Montana. this is a crazy time to buy a used truck. about gave up. Seen a truck at smiths and gave it a try. Warren Ross is great! Told me all the features of the truck. Got me financing and i love the truck! Close by and Great Experience! Thanks!

To the jackass that was chewing out the parts and service guys on March 8th, 2018, your introduction is justified as it reflects the attitude and terrible manner you presented yourself to these hard workers. I have been to numerous dealerships and parts and service counters across the state and I know bad service. The only thing sour and worth going to any authorities over was your attitude and ensuring people like you are locked up. Everyone at the service counter was being fair and honest with you. They were telling you things regarding your vehicle that you refused to listen to and you automatically assumed they were trying to steal your money. If you took two seconds to get your head out of your own ass you would realize that what they recommended for repairs on your vehicle suited the climate and region you live in. I worked with cars long enough to know that harsh conditions like Idaho Falls require heavy maintenance to make sure your vehicle runs properly. Get. Over. Yourself! Each of the guys here have more class in their middle finger than you do in your entire family line. If you don't like the service go somewhere else or better yet learn to fix it yourself because with your attitude no one with half a brain would touch you with a ten-foot pole.Smith group you guys are awesome! I have never been disappointed with the Chevy service I've received when visiting you. It's always prompt, reliable and affordable. To anyone out there who possibly reads a review about these guys trying to rip someone off around this date ignore him and shame him in public. This guy is an absolute jerk with no respect for others in the service industry.

I have been a loyal customer at Smith's for over 15 years. I purchase my cars here and do ALL service through them as well. I have been calling for two and a half weeks to schedule maintenance. I have left probably 5 messages on voicemail that I need maintenance and NO ONE has bothered to call me back. My business will now be at Teton Honda in Pocatello who actually had someone answer the phone in the service department and was happy to schedule me. I will make the hour drive.I get that companies are very under staffed and busy. Maybe consider having those who aren't busy return calls so you don't lose customers.

Purchased our car there and get out oil changes there, so I was previously satisfied with their service. However not long ago when I went in for an oil change, I was told my brakes were shot, the rotors were bad, it needed to be fixed asap, and the cost would be around $400-500. I didn't have the money to fix it, so I postponed it. My brakes sounded fine, felt fine, and from what I could see without taking everything apart, looked fine. Took my car to a different mechanic and they said there was nothing wrong with my brakes, nothing wrong with my rotors. They had no idea why Smith Group would tell me they were bad. My guess? A woman is an easy mark to make an extra $500. What would she know about cars? Hint: more than you think.

The sales manager Tom helped me and was amazing to work with. My experience was very friendly, fast and he knew exactly what I was looking for. Gave me a great trade in value for my car. I was very pleased with my experience with Smith Chevrolet and I will go back again!

My wife and I had been looking for cars for quite some time until we came across a Pontiac G6 from Smiths. We found what we were looking for online, called and made an appointment with a salesman, and drove away in our new car that night. We have loved the car. They are excellent at detailing their used cars. The day after we bought the car I noticed that one of the headlights was burned out. Since we live an hour away, our salesmen met us halfway with a new bulb for the headlight free of charge. I'm positive they would have popped it in for me if I had been in Idaho Falls. A week later we have found a small mechanical problem. I called our salesman and he said bring it in and we will do everything we can for you. This has been the only car dealership that I don't regret doing business with. An easy 5 stars for me. Also, I would highly recommend John Brooks as your salesman.

I had a great experience at Smith Chevrolet. I really like Sloan, my salesperson. Every time I am there, I stop in to visit with him. The service department does a great job assisting me and answering questions. The detail shop does a great job cleaning my truck. Overall, the people at Smith Chevrolet are good to work with.
