Mike got the door wheel drive issues with my truck figured out and back on the road in no time flat! He was very patient with all my questions and the final outcome came in lower than his estimate. Thank you Mike and thank you Silva's!

I never leave reviews on Google, but feel the need to. I'll start by saying that both Carlos and Mike seem like super nice guys. However, after taking my truck to them for issues with my serpentine belt getting chewed up, they told me that I needed a new power steering pump and a new water pump. They estimated that it would cost $2200 (the dealership told me they would only charge $1800). After not feeling right about it, we got a second opinion. Turns out, the clamp on the water pump just needed moved and we needed a new tensioner for the belt. The total cost was $450. I feel like we were lied to and Silva's tried to rip us off.

TERRIBLE!!! Went in to get my CV joint replaced and they completely trashed my wheels on their lift! Probably going to have to take them to small claims, would never recommend! Go to Vega's Repair instead if you're in Idaho Falls, they are great to work with and actually take care of their customers.

Would not recommend. My car needed some repair near the serpentine belt. They told me they had the part and took it apart and then told me they didn t have the part. They said they could order it in but it would take three days. I was on a time crunch and ended up having to pay them even though they did nothing to fix it. They also never gave me a diagnosis. Please be careful going here. Especially if you have something that might be a little more complex going on with your vehicle.

This man helped my family out immensely tonight. We were on our way back from a yellowstone / grand Teton road trip with two 6 year olds and a 3 month old and our alternator went out 2.5 hours away from our airbnb. He had several other vehicles in the bay and prioritized fixing our van. He dropped us off at a nearby park by the River and picked us back up when it was done. He saved our butts tonight and worked until 10 pm to fix our vehicle and get us safely back on the road. 5 stars.

This is a great shop, not super fancy or anything, but they re fair, they do their work well, and they know what they re talking about. They were able to figure out what was wrong with my car and kept me updated all along the way throughout the fix. Mike (one of the mechanics who works here) was super helpful and very good at what he does, I really appreciate his honesty and straightforwardness. I will recommend Silva s to my friends and will only be coming back to this shop in the future for any other car problems!

I went to Silva s to get a safety inspection on my car before driving to Texas. Carlos is a super nice guy and you can tell he cares about his customers. Wasn t looking to just make money, he told me the things I could fix on my own but since he was so cool about it I wanted to make sure he got the business. Highly recommend as he pointed out small things that a large shop would likely miss. Awesome place and an awesome dude!

My husband and I cannot speak HIGHLY enough of this business along with Carlos and Mike. We are from Iowa and were traveling to Idaho when we began experiencing troubles with our truck. We had it towed to their shop on Sunday and he allowed us to stay in our camper in their parking lot. Even though it was a Sunday he came and introduced himself and took a look at our truck and ensured us they would get it fixed for us on Monday and get us back on the road. That is EXACTLY what they did! They stayed after hours in fact worked on it after midnight on Monday just to ensure we could get back on the road. We were extremely grateful for not only the mechanic knowledge and skill they had but for being genuinely amazing people. They explained not only everything with the vehicle but he loaned us a car for the day so we could go do stuff. If you are having problems you WILL NOT want to go anywhere else. I could not speak highly enough of the service I received here. I came in from out of town and was supposed to leave the next day, and I heard funny noises from my car. It was late on a Saturday and I did not think anyone would be open. But Silvas was. I brought my car in and Carlos stayed 5 hours after closing to make sure he could get me back on the road when I needed to be. He then discovered major issues with my car that were not disclosed to me when I bought it, he spent 25 minutes speaking with the man who sold me the car and vouching for me. He repaired things for me late into the night. Notonly is he a certified mechanic who knows what he is doing, but he cares about his customers. I am extremely satisfied with the work Silva's Automotive performed on my car. I have had multiple people try to fix my vehicle to no avail. I was recommended Silva's and they promptly and accurately diagnosed my vehicle, fixed the failure, and got it working properly in no time at all. Mike was very knowledgeable and actually communicated with me with what needed to be done. My entire experience at Silva's was fantastic. We ran into car troubles leaving Yellowstone, and when local mechanics in Jackson were either unable to help or didn't have the parts on a Friday (our last day in town) to get us back on the road, we were forced to look elsewhere. Luckily, we were able to get the car to Idaho Falls where Mike, Carlos and team were able to get us all fixed up on a Saturday so we could continue our road trip. They charged a fair price and were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this shop to both locals and unlucky travelers (like myself) in the area alike. Thanks!

Carlos is an amazing human being. My car stopped working in Arco on a Friday evening and I found out that it was the alternator and they could not get one until Monday and I had to be in Three Forks, Montana the same evening and it was already 4:30/5. I started looking for auto repair shops in Idaho Falls, most of which closed at 6. It was going to take me about an hour to make it to Idaho Falls. I noticed Silva's was open until 7 pm so I gave it a shot, and got Carlos on the phone. He was so understanding of my situation and assured me he will stay at the shop late until my alternator was replaced and car working...! Who does that?!? Most repair place/ people would have said tough luck, given it was late on a Friday. But not Carlos. I drove to Idaho Falls and thankfully Carlos and his team member both worked on my car until 10:30 with all the car in the queue to get my work done and competed. Carlos was a lifesaver.I highly recommend Carlos and Silva's Auto if you're ever in a pickle with you vehicle and need a reliable place to get it fixed.Thank you again Carlos and best wishes to you and your crew!

Carlos Silva runs a great local auto shop with a few other men. All of the men in the shop were extremely helpful. We broke down on our way to Montana at about 1 pm on a Saturday. Silva s was the only auto shop open, we could not have been more lucky. Carlos made sure to it that we were back on the road as soon as possible, even considering the fact that he squeezed us in to his already packed schedule. He worked tirelessly to detect and fix our issue until 9 pm that night. He stayed 2 hours past his regular hours to help us and asked for nothing extra in turn. If you are in a bind, or simply need some auto work done, I highly recommend Silva s.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I broke down in town while passing through (or trying to anyways). I was stuck in a hotel for 5 days trying to find a mechanic to help. 3 separate mobile mechanics had said they would come up but never showed. Mike was sympathetic, and did everything he could to get me back on the road as quickly as he could. He didn't try to gouge me, though he probably could have because I was desperate. I cannot say enough about this place!Service: Transmission

I was very impressed with how quickly Mr. Silva was able to see my car during an emergency and get me on my way again, same day as my car broke down. I took my vehicle here almost 6 months ago. The mechanic who works in the morning told me my rear differential might be going out. Charged me 260 dollars for a simple fluid change of it. I decided to change the fluid out again to see if the work was really done. As soon as I drained it, the fluid was all black like it had never been changed out. Wasted my money on this place and won t be coming back here again

Carlos and Joe were phenomenal. My wife and I were on a road trip when our fuel pump went out. They went out of their way to get our vehicle to their shop and worked very late on a weekend to get us on our way. Carlos even took care of some other unrelated issues for us free of charge. I highly recommend these guys!

I have had two repairs done there, and they were excellent. They replaced my rear brakes when they froze up and really helped me. Also, they have replaced my starter. Always got it done quickly and not have had any problems since then. Very reasonable, and very friendly. They do know what they are doing. They even noticed that my front bearing was going out when I did not ask them. It was a dangerous situation and they just examined what I needed when the car was on the lift. That is the type of car care that I need. Look out for me. They did not try and push it, and said even take to another place for a second opinion. They are trustworthy.

What do you think of Silva's Automotive? I recently broke down and was towed to Silva's. The car was supposedly repaired and I was charged $500. Just over an hour of leaving the shop my car was running poorly and shorting out. I took the car back to the shop and left it with a note explaining that it was not running properly. I left the key in the lock box and walked to work in the dark and the cold. I called Silva's for two days at a total of ten to twelve calls and finally spoke to someone who said they would try to get my car fixed. I caught a ride home from work and about five hours later my car was delivered. The young man who delivered it said he was late because they ran out of gas. He handed me a paper saying my battery was leaking and that I needed to spend $400 more for a tune up. He then stated my car would not run because when the wires were disconnected that it made weak connections. The car ran poorly and broke down. I called Silva's and was given the run around. The business manager then called and basically belittled me, embarrassed me and put me down and made me cry. My regular mechanic who usually does my work cared enough to show up and get my car running and followed me home to make sure I was safe! I just don't know what to do. I feel like I was ripped off and basically that Silva's does not care about me or standing behind their work!

I'm extremely satisfied with the repairs done on my vehicle. Prices are very competitive, the mechanics were helpful with all my questions and were friendly & professional. I'll definitely return there again for any repair or maintenance needs on my vehicles and would highly recommend Silvas Repair to anyone needing work done on their vehicle!!!

We unfortunately ran into some car problems on the the I-15. We were able to make it to Idaho Falls and googled mechanics in Idaho Falls and Silva s was the first one to pop up and the only one that was open late on a Saturday. We called and spoke to Joe, who was very helpful and told us to bring the car over right away to be looked at. Carlos and Joe were able to figure out what was wrong and what they were able to do so we could be on our way with the rest of our road trip. Thank you Silva Auto Repair!!

This place doesn't even deserve one star!! My son and daughter-in-law were on a mini vacation to see family and had their motor blow up on the interstate. Silva's was caught in multiple lies and my kids got the run around from day one!! They ended up with a huge bill and Silva's didn't do anything to repair the car. On top of having the car towed there, they ended up bringing the car back to Minnesota on a trailer to our local reliable, trustworthy and experienced mechanics. DO NOT RECOMMEND this DISHONEST and SCHEMING place they call a "business"!!

So grateful for Silva's Automotive - my husband's truck broke down in Idaho Falls while driving from Salt Lake City to Bozeman in the evening on a holiday. Silva's not only helped him late in the day but also came and got him where his truck broke down. They showed compassion and were determined to get him home that night. We are so pleased with their service!

Me and my friend were heading towards Yellowstone, but unfortunately the Van broke down and we call devery auto mechanic in town and this one was the only business that called. But thanks to Carlos he got the job and our emergency situation taken care of and he's a real good mechanic from a town that we just arrived. I would go to him personally if we didn't live so far away!

The owner Carlos is a stand up guy. Friendly and goes out of his way to make your experience a good one. His technicians are polite and professional guys and will work hard to get your car fixed up and running for you again

Broke down in Wyoming and had my vehicle towed to Silva's and was stranded in Idaho Falls until my vehicle was repaired. The owner worked nonstop to get my vehicle going again. I made it to Washington with no further issues and have made many long trips since. Thank you Mr. Silva!

My brother brought his vehicle to this place. Took 4 days to diagnose a bad engine, thats 4 days after the day they said they would look at it. Gave him the run around on finding a motor. My brother finally had enough and said he wanted his car back. They gave him a huge bill with a 35% restocking fee for a motor that was not ordered. There was no reciept of any transaction for a motor and no proof of attempting to order. Would not give out the names or numbers for any junk yards to which said motor couldve been ordered from either. Very untrustworthy place. Would not recommend to anybody.
