I can t say how amazing this shop is! Dropped my wife s car off at 9am on a Wednesday for a surprise coolant leak. Phil was amazing and put my wife at ease and made this so easy we had our car back the following day by 10am fixed and ready to go!

These guys always been my favorite mechanic in Idaho Falls when I get a chance to use them... Last time I was there I went in for a check engine light that morning, tirns out it was a thermostat and a water pump -and two.5 hours later they were done...Always professional, shop is clean trustworthy... And Marlin still works there-!Also...Where I live in Jackson Wyoming the labor rate is over 200 hour at some places, thank God there are still places left that are under 150 hour-!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HEREWe came to Marlins to get an engine replaced in my husband's truck. We were told by the owner they would be able to complete it by the end of October. We brought the truck in on October 3rd. Once the promised finished date had passed we called them to ask about the progress on the truck and Marlin assured my husband that it would be just another 3 weeks. Skip forward to a whole extra month going by we decided to visit the shop and sure enough, it was still sitting in the same place! It likely would have sat there longer if we hadn't called them again and asked why it still wasn't finished. After 3 MONTHS they finally said the truck was completed. We have had the truck back for 2 days and one spark plug wire was only 3/4 of the way on so it didn't have contact with the spark plug, another spark plug was completely disconnected and sitting on the exhaust manifold and had melted into it. 3 cylinders only had 1 out of 2 bolts on the exhaust manifold. No wonder why the truck seemed like it wasn't running well at all. The oil is already leaking when he specifically told us he was going to fix that as well. Who knows what else we will find that they screwed up down the road. Above all else, they charged us an extra 400 dollars over the original quote that the owner himself told us it was going to be. Marlin clearly does not know how to keep his word. His motto is 'Quality, Honesty & Integrity' and we did not get that service at all! We will be sure to let all of our friends and family know to never waste their time with Marlin and his company.

Took my vehicle in, they had to replace a few parts. A few days later the same thing happened and had to take it back in. The new part failed and did additional damage. Marlin's was able to get the manufacturer/supplier to pay for everything to get my vehicle repaired. I'm impressed how they stood up for the customer. They will have my business from now on.

Took our car in because of a suspected oil leak. Turns out it was the power steering fluid. They "fixed" the leak, but then the power steering went out. Then they learned it was the pump for the fluid. So they replaced the pump. Then the car stopped working and had to be towed. Turns out the leaked fluid may have corroded the belt and it broke. They replaced that. Now the car is leaking again. We're out about $400 now and there's still a problem. Will be taking it somewhere else to see about this leak.Service: Engine repair

I bought a used vehicle that needed some under-the-hood work. A little more than I thought initially. I searched online and found Marlin's. They had many positive reviews so I brought it in for a used car check. My 2nd one by the way.Marlin checked it out confirmed some of the first check results but also said some of the repairs listed by the first mechanic wasn't needed. This saved me hundreds of dollars.I brought my vehicle in and Marlin did an outstanding job. He went above with the work and made sure everything was taken care of to my satisfaction.I found Marlin to be honest and a man/mechanic with integrity. I have no hesitation or reservation about referring him should one find themselves needing a trustworthy mechanic.

Took my car in for overheating The mechanic said nothing was wrong with my car and he couldn t replicate the issue in the time it took him to burn all the gas I left in it he lied to me told me he has to fully disassemble my engine to check a part you can see from the top lied to me about the thermostat being hard to replace so I decided to do it myself. car overheated immediately after receiving it from him. was just passing through Idaho and my alternator went out. 5 minutes before every shop closed for the weekend and i was still an hour out of town. Marlin said he could stay late, get the part and get me back on the road that night! He also replaced my battery terminals and cleaned everything up. He went above and beyond for me and charged a very fair price.Great shop, Great work.

Was recommended to me by a friend, and will recommend to others! Super nice guy! Drove to Rexburg, located my son s car in the apartment complex, and was able to find it even though I got the make and model wrong! Good experience today . This was the cheapest of three estimates and the work was done right and on time and I was told something else I needed done . one of the most trusting, authentic mechanics in Idaho Falls. The integrity of his work and prices reflect the honesty that this shop upholds. Even visiting for just the weekend, the radiator caught a rock and punctured a hole. Phil (phillip) stayed until 830 PM to get ot fixed so we can leave even after the shop closed at 5. Marlin has worked on our cars for years always handing me a final bill that was cheaper than original estimate. And the result has always been great.If you want to meet an honest crew that does honest work for a great price, stop and talk to the guys at Marlins.

Had these guys work on my truck twice now and have had no problems. They were able to find me a used transmission for a good price and were able to get it installed in a timely matter. We had a check engine light on. We already got the codes from another mechanic but they were too busy to get us in and we were only passing by town. Richard's in town recommended Marlin's so we called and he said to come in. Per Richard's recommendation, we asked Marlin's to get the gas pressure reading. First, he ran another diagnostic test but nothing came up because the check engine light had been reset by another mechanic during the code check. Then, he checked the gas pressure and suggested that we should be able to drive it back to Colorado to our own mechanic. We did and made it home although slower than normal. Thanks Marlin's for the honest advise!

I take all of my vehicles there and they have earned my trust. They are honest and always fair to work with. More than once I have arrived ready to spend money for what I thought was a problem and they found the real issue which really has built my trust in them. The problem has always been repaired as promised with no further issues. I highly recommend them.

I needed a new motor put in my vehicle and Marlin and his guys did a great job. The price was competitive and they provided lots of helpful info during the process. I'd definitely recommend them.

BEST autoshop I have ever gone to. My car broke down on the way back from a vacation, and they were the only auto shop in the whole IF area that were able to squeeze me in. They took a look at my car, gave me some ideas of what was wrong with it, and DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME! I'm a poor college student and this meant the whole world to me. I highly recommend Martin's Mechanix!!

Absolutely outstanding!Driving from Arizona to Yellowstone, my vehicle developed a misfire just south of town. I called up Marlin s, who got me in the same day. New spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, fuel injector and other parts all ordered the same day and installed the next day (it needed the injector, I requested the rest). He got me back on the road the very next day! I can t thank you guys enough!!!!!
