C&S Auto Repair is a fantastic location that gets the job done. If you need auto repair in Idaho Falls this is the place to go. The owners care about their employees and doing the best job they can. It's an affordable auto repair and gets you what you need.

Great experience when we needed new front struts.Mike was great to work with to schedule a time for them to check things out. They got back to us quickly and fixed the problem right away. We will definitely use C & S for all our car needs.

I was looking for a mechanic who would install a new catalytic converter that I bought from Amazon into my 2011 Nissan Sentra. The part cost me $100, and the install was less than $200. Another mechanic was going to charge me over $800 for the part and the install. C&S Auto Repair did a great job and charged a reasonable amount! C&S was recommended to me by a neighbor, and now I highly recommend them as well!Services: Auto exhaust system repair, Auto exhaust system replacement

Needed a rear differential replacement on my Toyota RAV4. They beat the dealers price by a large amount, the service was great, done in a timely manner, I am very happy with C&S. They will be my go to repair shop from now on.

Went here about a year ago based off the good reviews. I would steer clear. They charged me $70 for diagnostics and then told me the repair would be $600 on the totally wrong side of the car that I was hearing the noise. They assured me they had found the issue. Took it to get a second opinion, was charged less than $100 for the repair and it was exactly where I told them it was initially. Not impressed and will never return.

I would just like to say that the customer service was amazing. I had issues with my car I ve had for 3 months. It s a newer car and should not have had these issues. The dealership I was going through told me that they were going to charge me so much to replace so many parts when C&S simply said that there were a few minor repairs. My car has been driving so much better since then. I highly recommend this company.

I gotta say C&S went above and beyond to get our truck diagnosed and fixed in record time. It broke down out of Arco, ID, and was towed to Idaho City because we needed someone who could work on high performance vehicles. Thanks, guys!

We had a concern with our 2009 Toyota Camry. A friend suggested a local transmission shop thinking the noise might have been caused by the transmission. The transmission shop advised us that the transmission was not the problem and suggested C & S Auto Repair.I called and they were able to schedule me for the next week. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and considerate. We dropped the car off and they were able to diagnose the problem and repair it the same day!The speed of service, the very fair price charged for that service and parts, as well as the very friendly attitude of the entire staff made this painful process an overwhelmingly positive experience.I strongly recommend C & S Auto for any of your automotive service needs!

Amazing customer service. Took my old 1983 chevy in for a very weird request/repair, and they worked with me through the entire thing. I got frequent updates on my vehicle and nothing was replaced without asking, and they even offered alternative ideas (of which they did not benefit from). They also got everything done faster than I imagined. All-in-all they got my truck running again, at a fair price, quickly with amazing service. 10 out of 10 recommended.

I am not great with names but the gentleman that I spoke with when I first called stated that they were 2 to 3 weeks out on repairs. But they could look at my car in a couple of days to see why my check engine light came on and why my car was losing power. So, I took my car knowing that it may take a couple of weeks before they were able to repair it. They diagnosed it within 24 hours and they had it fixed within 48 hours. I am very pleased and grateful for their customer service! I have found my mechanic!Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Mike and Joe in the office are always a pleasure to work with. If you have a problem that needs fixed correctly? THIS IS THE PLACE! No doubt, they will figure it out and will be upfront and honest. Always very thorough with repairs. Would never charge you for something that didn't need done. Highly recommend C&S for all you vehicle needs.

The only reason I gave them five stars is because a trillion wasn't an option. If you live in or around Idaho Falls there is simply no reason not to go to C & S Auto.I am from Salt Lake and had car troubles on the way to our friend's house. It was early on Saturday morning and every shop in town was either closed or too busy to help. We emailed C & S in hopes that someone may be able to at least look at the car. About an hour later we received a call from Chris. Although he was busy at the time, he offered to come in later that evening to look at the car. Chris ended up being up until nearly midnight just to help us with the vehicle. What was even more shocking was after a simple but overlooked fix was found, he didn't charge us a dime. Further, when we found that we had locked ourselves out of the car he offered to open the vehicle (Again, for free).I am not saying you will get all of your repairs for free or that Chris will always be available to help at midnight. I AM saying that your can absolutely trust this shop and staff. Service like this is rarely found anymore. My only complaint is they don't live in Utah.Thanks again Chris for taking time away from your family to help us out! We appreciate it.

November 2016: I recently took my 2008 Subaru Outback to C&S Auto to have the front axles replaced. Immediately after the service there was a leak where the right side axle goes into the transmission. After taking the vehicle back to C&S Auto FOUR times, the leak was still not fixed. I finally took the vehicle to a different shop who diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem, and actually drove the car to verify the problem was resolved.Update: Shortly after I posted the above review I was contacted by C&S Auto repair. To their credit they wanted to professionally discuss the review and were genuinely interested in learning what finally resolved the right axle seal issue.Fast forward six months to May 2016 when I had the Outback into the Subaru dealer for an air bag recall. When the service department lifted the vehicle onto the rack, they noticed the left side axle boot had come off, exposing the axle to the elements and destroying the axle. I contacted the shop that had resolved the right axle seal issue and they said they would be able to warranty the axle, but would not be able to cover the labor. In an effort to get the labor covered, I contacted C&S Auto as I did not feel I should pay for the same repair twice. After talking with C&S Auto, they agreed to refund the original labor on the left side axle.For their professionalism, willingness to make things right, and efforts to understand the root cause of the issues, I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

Great experience! Ryan was great to work with, called with anything, and everything they found, he had parts and labor costs ready when he called.When I picked up my car the office staff was very friendly and kind.Heck, they even washed my car for me!If I ever need car repairs, in the future, I will DEFINITELY go back!My friends and family will all know about them as well!

Great customer service! Very honest, friendly, and professional!! We were having an issue with a repair they did on our timing belt, but when we took it back they misdiagnosed the problem. We then moved to a different state, but continued to have problems with it. We had to take it somewhere new to get it fixed, and they said the timing belt was off a tooth. When C&S found out about the issue, they offered to reimburse us for all their labor costs, because they weren't able to fix it themselves, since we had moved. I was very grateful and impressed! They're a great company with a lot of integrity!

I arrived at C&S Auto Repair on a Monday afternoon at about 3:30 PM. My 3/4 tons pick-up truck had developed a sudden brake line leak due to an improperly installed exhaust line/pipe burning through the line - not supposed to happen! (That was done by some other shop.) I was pulling a semi-heavy UHaul trailer on a move from WA to CO. Clearly I did not want to drive one extra mile..In a nutshell, and given the emergency nature of the situation, Mikel went out of his way to find a technician on his team would could work extra time to get us back on the road - and we were by 6:30 PM that day! I can't say how grateful I was for the fantastic customer service Mike and his team (Jason? If I recall properly) demonstrated that day (Mike had to bring in a forklift to separate the trailer - and then re-attach it after the repair had been completed).If I were within 100 miles of Idaho Falls - I would get my truck service there!Service: Brake service & repair

Just picked up my car from C&S Auto. Honest, reliable, skilled and reasonable. One of the best finds I've been fortunate to make since moving to Idaho. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and wouldn't think of letting my kids go to any other shop either. I can't recommend them highly enough!Update 09/2015 - been using C&S since 2008 and still love these guys! They are the best and I wouldn't trust my automotive needs to anyone but them.

These guys were my go-to auto repair shop until I moved to Nampa back in August. Ryan and the owners say what they do and do what they say. Less than trustworthy auto repair shops are far too common. But with C&S I had a peace of mind knowing they were going to do the right thing and perform quality work, and I wasn't going to get worked over on the price. I've had 3 different vehicles in their shop, on 6 or 7 different occasions, in the last couple years and I have been very satisfied with and grateful for my experiences with them. They're not in this business for the money, they're in it to serve and take care of people. AND THAT'S WHY THEIR SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE!!! Major props to C&S!

I am not sure if they remember me or my situation but, I still tear up to this day on how amazing this company is and what they did for me. They are honest, kind, and went above and beyond to help me. I back in 2007-2008 as a very, very poor single mom, bought a car that ended up being a lemon. I had to buy a new transmission. Wanting to go the cheeper route, I ordered a refurbished transmission online. Shipping was about $600+, Plus the transmission. I had the transmission delivered to C&S auto for them to install. Long story short the transmission delivered didn t work. So we needed to send it back. It was not easy dealing with the online company I ordered the transmission from. I had to pay for another shipment to ship a new transmission again they sent us another and same thing it didn t work. C & S auto we re so great and through all my tears did whatever the could for me. Finally after them helping me fight this company we got another transmission sent and it worked this time. They were my angels. They allowed me to make payments and were just so kind. I will never forget what they did for me. I can now say I am in a much different financial situation and have given back to my community as much as possible. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and helping me years ago. Thank you C & S auto!

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to C&S for years. The service has always been consistently great. They stand behind their work. If a problem comes up with a repair not working out. They fix it at no extra cost. Chris and Shana are great people to deal with.And, guys, what ever you are paying Ryan-it's not enough! Very friendly, personal, and professional. They are conveniently located for me and were able to figure out and fix my '89 Jimmy. They got to my truck quickly, explained what they did in detail, and the price was fair. I will definitely visit C & S the next time I need a mechanic and have recommended them to others. C&S saved our bacon. Blew a spark plug while heading home from vacation. Fifty miles from home and most shops would not work on it for two to three days. Despite being obviously busy, these guys got the truck fixed and back on the road quickly and the price was very reasonable. If I lived in Idaho Falls this would definitely be my mechanic of choice!

I've been working with these guys since 2011 and they've always treated me right. Their prices are fair, but more importantly they know what they're doing.One of the most frustrating things about getting your car repaired is dealing with shops that diagnose the problem incorrectly. Some shops just start replacing things until they find the problem!C&S has always been able to pinpoint the problem quickly and recommend the correct fix. These guys are professionals and you'll get a staff that's as knowledgeable as any dealership service department minus the dealership price. I am extremely pleased with the way they keep me on the road.I have recommended C&S to a number of friends, and my friends have had a similar experience.
