Had my truck needing trans pan gasket timing chain cover and turbo replaced. Was said to only a week.. 1.5 months later it was still not done and was waiting on parts and the so called techs was out and not able work on it. After 3 months they called and sat it was done. I drove 1.5 hrs to get it. And sat there for an hour and they said come back they can t get it started.. few days later came back and got it started drove home had some noises under hood, and smell of exhaust in cab. Pulled in shop at home. Next day checked it out and was apauled!.. turbo boots not done up, exhaust not connected, trans pan leaking worse than when I took get fixed, fan shroud and coolant bottle not connected, bolts missing, air cleaner box just set in there, other parts not installed correct .. called had to wait for so called techs to see what day they could come check it out.. weeks later they told me no tech can travel.. bring it in.. so I had them bring a truck to load it up and take down to fix.. week or so later it was done again.. picked up and they got everything connected and they said changed trans pan gasket again. Got home checked everything out a lot better this time and noticed original bolts missing and some other bolts put in and bolt missing out of timing chain cover, trans pan gasket still leaking noticed was not tightened half what it should of been, and rear of gasket was not seen and pushed inside.. rubber hood bumper kicked off and missing on lower front. Missing air box clip. (Later found down inside frame). I definitely will not be going back or refer others.. this was along time without my needed vehicle to have to redo again and added expense .. not sure if the techs can even be certified how they work on vehicles.. I would definitely check your vehicle after getting fixed and make sure you don t have issues with repairs..Services: Exhaust, Engine repair, Transmission repair

I can honestly say that my car is now worth less than before the ridiculous service and I really regret working with this shop.I had my car towed to this auto shop from Jackson in early June, and the engine I had delivered to the shop wasn t installed until at least a month later; I understand there was additional work to be done on the vehicle, and I gave the go-ahead for replacing the computer of the car also. No communication, when I called for an update, a young lady told me to call back the next day for an update.A month later when the car is ready and after we drive it home, it become known that the Computer which was installed by this team is incompatible with the vehicle I have. Labor costs ran me close to 4K to pay for my car back, and the repairs left my car just as undriveable as before I had her towed to All Things Automotive & Diesel Service. Not to mention that my battery was swapped for a worse one, I know what my car should be. My front rims are gone too since I left the car in the shop s care.My first car is now a hazard to drive, it s a hassle to even turn on due to the alarm going off fully and constantly because of the computer incompatibility. Thanks, what a mistake, a joke, and a huge financial setback.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine tuning

We took our car to them in December to have it fixed for a Christmas trip to Utah. At first they thought they had found & repaired the problem, which they had, but after that was fixed we realized the problem was still there. They worked hard to find & repair everything that was wrong. Now our car runs wonderfully & it didn t cost a fortune, as we were expecting, and we got it back the day before we had to leave for Utah! We are very happy with their work, timing & pricing!

I am a college student and my dad brings my car here. I have had some scary problems with my brakes and some warning lights going off. My car has been taken here 4 separate times to fix this issue. Each time the bill has been way over $1,000. They have not fixed the actual problem yet and I am starting to lose hope in my only vehicle. My parents cannot help because my dad has cancer. I feel really disappointed and frightened.Update: My dad had his car in the shop here and they would not fix his car if I didn t take my review down. I just wished that if they are so short handed then they wouldn t have said yes to a new customer. Just tell me no instead of wasting my time and money.

From the phone call into Susan one of the receptionists, she was able to squeeze me in, to the mechanic and staff that helped me w my appointment and then being pleasantly surprised about how cheap the repair turned out to be, I highly recommend this business. The other repair shops in the area couldn't even give me a high and low estimate, and acted like they were sooo busy to even bother w my small issue and seeing my vehicle in a timely fashion.Highly recommend All Things Automotive and Diesel in Idaho Falls. Professional, efficient, customer oriented and reasonable prices.Service: Engine repair

My experience with All Things Automotive couldn't have been a better one. My Eclipse and I had hit a lot of pot holes this past spring, as Snake River canyon was full of them from Alpine junction to Hoback jct. I filed a claim in March, my so called mechanics at Salt River Motors estimated my cost at a little more than 400.00 hense is why I had to drop the claim as my deductible was 500.00.... through the summer after replacing rims, tires and supposedly a new tight rod end, the noises under my car was getting worse. I found this auto shop on line stating that they work on imported cars which included Mitsubishi Eclipse. I made the appointment, took it there, they took it in and by that afternoon they had a list of things that should have been looked at and replaced by Salt River Motors. With the total estimated cost that was given, over $2590.00 worth, I contacted my insurance company, statefarm, who reopened the claim and with in a week my car was done. It rides and sounds like a dream they are so helpful, and knowledgeable as to what my car needed repaired and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much to the whole crew. I will be a returning customer for my future automotive needsSincerelyKip

Someone recommended I go here to have my car looked at and fixed up. It took them less than a day to diagnose my car. They were pretty professional and called a couple times to update me as they worked. I felt as though they were trying to be as honest and forward with me as they could. With that said, communication was great! This was my first time taking my car to a shop so I have no reference to prices, however I feel as though they were fair. I'm content with what I spent for the MUCH needed fixes. Thank you so much to all of you for the services you provide. I will definitely being recommending any friends and family to you guys!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

All things automotive has performed work on two of my vehicles coolant leaks, brakes , suspension-shocks. All work performed professionally with reasonable cost and timely. Three other shops in town could not complete the same repairs, actually caused more problems. Highly recommend .

Took my Mercedes c300 in and told them I wanted all dashboard warning lights off my blower motor fixed. They accepted the job and went to work. When I picked my car up I was excited to see no warning lights and the $1,800 repair bill was well worth it. Jumped in the car later that evening and check engine light came back and the passenger side air bag malfunction light was back too. Both of these issues I paid to have fixed and they did not fix them they are still lite up on my dashboard and I am out $1800. Needless to say I m not impressed with the service they provided and I would not recommend them. Seems that any mechanic you go to just simply can t be trusted and that s a damn shame

While other places struggle to work on my old 1992 Toyota, this mechanic shop is able to diagnose the problem quickly and successfully. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mechanic

These guys are awesome and a pleasure to work with. They let Les sneak my car in that I had bought off a guy. They were familiar with the car and gave me the info that I needed so I can start planning repairs

My family was on a road trip from Colorado to Yellowstone when our vehicle started to overheat. After discovering the clutch fan went out, I feverishly called All Things Automotive to see if they would be able to install an emergency clutch fan. The crew at All Things Automotive were simply amazing! They quickly got our vehicle in for repair and no more than 2 hours later we were on the road again! I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and prompt service in an emergency. Highly recommended!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

So far I have enjoyed dealing with them, they explained everything I needed to know and got me in as soon as they could and fixed my vehicle per their promise, when no one else could. Price was a little steep but they did a lot of work and have given me peace of mind knowing my brakes, at least, will not fail.

Made an appointment a week and 1/2 ahead of time. Received no updates through out the day and when i call at 4 o'clock they are just getting truck in. Said they need more time with it, they were fairly certain they knew what was wrong but still needed more time. Next day still did not receive any updates and when I called was told they could not diagnose is. They had my truck for 2 days and could not "diagnosis" what was wrong and poorly communicated things to me. I picked the truck up and it was doing exactly what I asked them check.

All Things has become my go-to service shop because of the honest, skilled mechanics and friendly staff. Dealerships and most others shops don't begin to provide this kind of service. And if you have a vehicle you depend on for your business, you need to know about this place.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brake service & repairServices: Steering & suspension repair, Brake service & repair

I live in Las Vegas Nevada and was looking at two trucks in Idaho Falls ID. I asked the dealer if they could take them over to All Things Automotive for inspection. I give the dealer props they agreed to take the trucks over. The inspection on each truck was quick and thorough. It help me remove the truck that had the most work needed. The cost was under $100 for both trucks and saved me $1,000's. I would use them again and would suggest that you do the same. Everyone that I talked to was very helpful and easy to work with. They emailed me the inspections with complete breakdowns.Great place use them.

I had another shop I took all my vehicles to and I was very happy with their work and prices, but they always took way too long to get the job done. Several people recommended All Things Automotive, so I gave them a try next time I needed work done on my truck. I couldn't be happier with the work, cost and turn-around time. I'll stick with these folks.

Took my vehicle for LOF and Tire Rotation. I am not sure that this business cares about there customer. I received a $50.00 bill to replace hood struts that took about 5 minutes to complete the procedure. I did however ask them to reinstall the hood light which they removed during previous repair, that was not done.I had to replaced a newer U-Joint because it was not greased by them in services. I will inspect the front end parts to see if they greased them even though they have bad rubber seals. I just want an honest service done on my vehicle.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my 2005 Chevy Silverado in for a simple oil change and to lube the chassis. ( Yes, this truck has old fashioned grease zerks). My friends told me that they had bad experiences there and to not trust them but I knew one of the service writers up front. I picked it up and drove it home assuming everything was done. When I got home (thank heavens I only live west of IF) I looked under my truck to make sure they greased the chassis. Nothing was greased. I called and they said bring it back so I did. They did pull it in and did the job correctly this time. When I told the people up front that I shouldn't have to spot check their work, the guy said..it happens and it's not a big deal. I will never go back and I am encouraging my friends to never go there.

These guys are amazing! I've had them do inspections on cars I plan on purchasing and they have always been very fair to me. They do a thorough inspection, not just a "looks fine to me" inspection. I will always take my cars to them.

The reason I m giving two stars is because the story ended well to some degree.I bought a used truck with 100k miles on it. Wanted to do the responsible thing and have a mechanic go through, check the truck out, change oil, fuel filter, etc. They came back and said I had a leak in my transfer case, and combined with other small work, it would be somewhere around $1500 dollars to fix. It was several days until the weekend and I asked if they were going to be able to get it back to me before then. They said no problem.Work gets done, they leave a guy there after hours to fix it. All seems well. I pick up my truck and drive to Boise. At the end of the day, it looked like my rear diff was leaking. I took it into a mechanic and they started asking me if I had tried to repair the transfer case because no mechanic they knew would repair it this way.....looked, and they had squirted a bunch of JB weld up over a hole. The pressure and heatBlew through the crappy patch job and I was running a dry transfer case for who knows how many hundreds of miles. Not sure exactly how that job costed me 1500$.So, frankly I feel like it was a dishonest move on their part. When I called in, I got a shop credit card of theirs over the phone within minutes. Makes me think that they knew they were doing a crappy job and just got caught and were worried about getting sued. The good part: they paid for someone else to put in a new transfer case. So I guess someone took responsibility after I called. That s why I gave them a two star instead of a one.The bad part: I have zero trust that they are a reputable company. The fact that they would try and pull a fast one like this really bothers me. They won t touch my truck ever again and I actively steer friends and family away from them. If anyone asks me, I ll say stay away from them.

Great place to take your vehicles for whatever you need. They put their name on what they do, and back up their work. Friendly service, and they actually care for the costumer. Only place I will go.

We have had issues with our van and have spent considerable amounts of money trying to get it working correctly(At different automotive companies). Since taking it to All Things Automotive, we have noticed our vehicle runs better. The staff is always willing to help and they don't try to nickel and dime you. They will always have my business.

Really love this place. They're great service and reasonable prices. I like the fact that in order for them to do a full vehicle inspection, $89.00. However, if you choose them for service and have your car serviced there, that day, they waive that fee. I really appreciate them.

I have now dealt with this shop twice, I had my truck in to have the transmission rebuilt and the horror story begins there. Long story short I was lied to by All things auto service manager when the guy who actually built the transmission told me the truth. They broke a part that is impossible to find new, and the rebuilt transmission started failing shortly after. I took it back and they said they'd take care of it! which is awesome, I thought. They had the trans rebuilt and put back in, and while they did that they decided to break my temperature switch and not replace it... why? because it is impossible to find as well. Thanks all things auto for the crap service, and tearing my truck up even more. You either need to fire some technicians and get some real ones, or just go into the dairy business or something a little easier.-T.J.

This shop has been over backwards for me Everytime. They get the job done in a timely manner and they do it right the first time. I'm from out of town and I always try to leave my repairs until I visit so they can work on my truck. Been with them for almost 10 years, and always a great experience.
