I am fairly new to the area and I had been asking around about any good mechanics, when out of the blue I had a breakdown and had heard about Hayden Independent Auto service from a couple of different people so I called, spoke to Meg who told me how busy they were at the moment but she would try to get Darren to look at it Friday if at all possible. I told her that would be great. Darren called me Thursday afternoon as he was able to squeeze me in telling me what had broken down. Then Friday morning at around 9 AM he text me that he was able to get me in and fix my car( better than it's run in a long time) I will be going to Hayden Independent for all my vehicle needs. The price was very fair as well.

It's not often that I feel like I should pay more for auto service, but these folks hit a home run every single time. They don't try to sell you on extras, their communication is phenomenal, and they care about getting you up and running as quickly as possible.Darren and Meg are awesome. I will be back when I need more work done!

With my 44 years of auto ownership experience, was esp impressed with the quality of service and work. Received prompt clear direct communications, cost was good and aa expected from research - re replacing CV axle and radiator, alignment, and new tires, for 2002 Subaru. Thanks!

Brought my car in for a tire alignment, oil change, and taillight fix, they finished quickly and the price was good!The best part though is the red corgi hanging out in the front office, totally worth it just to experience how friggin adorable he is.A+, will be back for sure.

I came in for a valve cleaning on my yukon since it was running rough. The Mechanic got it cleaned up and repaired any existing damage with my vehicle as well as made sure to note EVERYTHING in the invoice. My suv ran like brand new afterwards.I highly recommend this Auto service center, alot better than the stealership I took it to before.

I have been going to Hayden Independent Auto for roughly 4 years now and highly recommend them to everyone I come across needing honest, affordable repairs done to their vehicles. Darren has a great business going here, just read the reviews to see why. I get my oil changes done here, have had exhaust work, brakes, and other misc repairs on my car and wouldn't trust anyone else with it. Never have had an issue and you know what to expect before you even drop off your vehicle. Keep up the great work guys!Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

This place is the best!! I ve been going here since I got my very first car when i was 15 years old. They always go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy & satisfied. This place is the best. We just got a quote from the dealership on replacing housing for the headlight on a 2014 RAV 4 it was going to be $700 for just one. When my wife called in and Darren quoted half of what we were quoted. So we are getting both done for the same price the dealership quoted us for just one. This place rocks. I am telling everyone about Hayden Independent Auto Service. First, it is pretty unheard of for a mechanic to have the great reviews this business has. That is one of the things I noticed deciding to use them. They schedule an appt, remind you the day before, are really interested in finding out what you say is wrong, they keep in touch through the process, then they provide detailed notes on what they did on the bill/receipt. I ve NEVER seen this before. Most importantly, when I took my daughters car in with what sounded like serious belt problems he told me it was just steering fluid AND didn t charge to fill it. Unbelievable. I highly recommend this business.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Hayden Independent Auto Service is a business that lives and dies by auto service. It is by patronizing such businesses that one generally gets the best service or product. Hayden Independent Auto Service is a perfect illustration of such a business.Recently my 2008 Land Cruiser spontaneously began showing a bunch of error lights that didn't make a lot of sense. Admittedly I did first call the Toyota Dealer to schedule an appointment, which was a couple weeks out. Then I thought to also call Darren at HIAS. He was also busy and couldn't schedule an appointment for me for a couple weeks, but here is the crucial difference, he suggested I come in the next day so that he could take a few minutes and "run the codes." He thought the problem might be trivial and could be fixed quickly. Sure enough the next day he ran the codes found out that it probably was nothing more than the gas cap not being closed properly. He reset the codes and promptly fixed the problem. It hasn't occurred since. Now that is personal, common-sense, service! You see the Toyota dealer just wouldn't ever do that. Darren didn't even charge me! What a deal! I will tell you, he has won my trust and business with both my vehicles. Darren is someone who treats you like family, with excellent personal service. Hayden was awesome!! We went through Groupon to get our A/C serviced and an oil change. Phoned Hayden and got an appointment within 2 days!! The customer service was amazing!! They had our truck done within just a few short hours!! We will definitely be going back to them for all of our truck needs!! Thank you for being so amazing!! (Well worth the drive)

Took our Subaru to Hayden Independent Auto for some repairs and was very happy with the service, price and turnaround time. Darren and his crew provided stellar customer service with fair pricing, good communication and honesty. My dad is a master mechanic down in Florida and by my standards, these guys do it right! I just found my new local Auto service shop and I can highly recommend them to you as well.

It's a good day when you can write a positive review of an auto repair business! Darren has fixed two of my Toyota vehicles in a very short time for each of them and the repair costs were certainly better than the local Toyota dealership wanted to charge. Darren is honest with his appraisal of what may be wrong with the vehicle and what the cost may be. I have complete trust in his abilities, will continue to have him work on my vehicles and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs their vehicles worked on. Absolutely worth a 5-star rating!

Darren does a great job and is very honest. He changed our brakes for less than Les Schwab quoted us and is really good about pick up and drop off. Very trustworthy and a hard worker. Thank you Darren!

Highly recommend this auto repair shop. Darren has always provided very reliable service and is super trustworthy. After trying out another (closer) mechanic in the area, I decided to go back to Hayden Independent. So glad I did! Darren repaired my car for a third of the price the other mechanic quoted. If you want a mechanic you can trust, go to Hayden independent!

Fantastic experience! Darren was able to get my car repaired for a reasonable price with very short notice as I had to be back in Portland for work the next day! He went above and beyond and I would highly recommend his business! Thankyou Darren for your honest quality work!

I went to Darren last year to fix miscellaneous stuff on my civic before I sold it. He was wonderful to deal with and did great work. I then took my mazda in for a wheel bearing problem and he diagnosed a timing chain issue as well. I had a warranty so he told me he'd take care of that and called me with the amount owed. I then had an oil leak and he diagnosed a turbo issue and it needed to be replaced. I still had the warranty and he dealt with them too. They even told him no and he was able to convince them to replace it which saved me about $1,900. He was honest and worked hard on my behalf. I will never go to another mechanic. If you're reading this, thank you so much for everything!

I have been doing business here since 2008. I couldn't recommend his shop any more highly. I don't go elsewhere and I never need too. I have all my automotive service done here -on both my cars. My adult children's cars are serviced here too. I have had Darren replace 2 engines for me, shocks, struts, oil changes, redo wheels, service four wheel drive, etc., and we are always highly satisfied with his work.

Stuck on the road with a check engine light. Darren happily took time to diagnose the problem. Thankfully just a spark plug but no small task, and they fixed it for me right away. Took time to explain the issue and gave tips for ongoing maintenance. Awesome place, great people. Thankful we broke down where we did and found this place.

A+++ to Darrin and his shop team for being so honest and dependable. I was quoted at another shop 3900.00 to fix my Durango. I took it to Darrin and he fixed everything for half that price. Thank you so much for being great. Awesome job to you and your workers.
