Unfortunately I have to edit my review . 10 months ago I started bringing my diesel to Tom the owner period Tom is a good man and has a good heart. His shop has maybe gotten too busy and maybe hired too many new people. slowly every time I have taken my truck there it takes two to three times taking it to the shop to get the very thing that I took it there to get done the first time completed. I held my tongue several times because Tom is such a good guy. The man he has working at the front desk currently pretty much just tells you whatever you want to hear and changes that story according to whatever sounds good in the moment. Very dissatisfied. Parts were put on that did not function properly we're not able to fix removed said parts without my consent. Refunded my money for those parts which is showing of Tom's character. Told me they would get back to me on finding the correct parts period after 2 weeks I called and was told by Tom that they have decided that no parts will fit my truck or work on my truck period and that they've decided they don't want to work on my truck anymore. So I'm changing my rating from five stars to if I could zero.

CONSUMERS BE AWARE!!!Approximately 3 years ago my husband and I have taken our 2000 Dodge Ram to Tom (owner/mechanic) at Diesel Connection. During this time this is what work was completed.Brakes-power steering-oil changes- transmission.Unfortunately we did not see the pattern of poor workmanship prior to the transmission. We have found ourselves returning for all work that has been completed on this vehicle, even simple as brakes. After spending approximately 8-9 thousand dollars for the transmission, we have had nothing but problems since we had it rebuilt 9 months ago! We have continually take it back for issues and on October 1, 2020, Tom has refused to take any responsibility of work on the transmission and has refused to complete any repairs.I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TAKE ANY VEHICLE HERE. DO NOT TRUST DIESEL CONNECTION. THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR OWN WARRANTY.I would rate at NO STARS but the system will not allow!

Tom is a great guy and top notch mechanic!! I've always been impressed with his work. He goes above and beyond and is more than fair with his customers. He treats me like family every time I walk in. He tries to educate his customers and help them make the best decision for their vehicle. There's a reason this guy is always busy! Only place in town to take your diesel work !

Tom and his team at Diesel Connection did a great job getting our roofing truck back to work!! They got to it quickly, advised me of immediate work, and now we can save up for our next repairs as they explained what may be needed in coming months. I highly recommend Diesel Connection in Post Falls for their excellent communication, attention and specialty work.

I drove over from Western Washington and had Tom at Diesel Connection install a stage 3 transmission built by Dynamic transmission and new Banks exhaust for me on my 2nd Generation Dodge Ram 2500. He did the Transmission swap and exhaust install in one day. Even after running into broken bolts on the turbo, he was able to get the job done on time and at a very reasonable cost. If I ever need someone other than myself to work on my truck, I will be making the trip back over the mountans to see Tom.

I believe I have been relying on Tom for four years now and I am still pleased. Pleasant, efficient and doesn't do unnecessary work to inflate the price. I drive a Ford Super Duty with a 7.3 liter diesel, 1999, and I want it to go forever and I think Tom can make that happen. I will be calling him tomorrow for an appointment. Thanks Tom!!

It's not very often I have my truck worked on by anyone, most work I do myself. If there is something I'm not able to do, I wouldn't take my truck anywhere else. Tom knows his stuff when it comes to diesels. He gets it in and out in no time and does amazing work and has the best price in town. Plus every time I've walked in, everyone is as friendly as can be and treat you just like you are family. Hands down best diesel repair shop we have around. Take your truck here you won't regret it!

Brought in my 7.3 two different times and both times they were unable to correctly fix. One of those times left me stranded in Troy Montana the day after my truck left their shop. Both times the owner of this business blamed one of his workers he fired. Won't buy the B.S. anymore. I will find a more competent place to do business.

I use my truck a lot. I was over this last Aug/Sept building a shed for my daughter. The h2o pump went out & also fried the alternator. Tom fixed it the same day so I could keep working. Even took me to & from my daughter's house. Though I was from out of town he was fast, fair & only fixed what needed to be fixed. Can't say enough good things about Tom & his staff.

Instead of a review, let s set the record straight- I used to like Tom & Naomi but the last 2 months, these Christians have both really shown their true colors. Why can t I put a 0??? Tom is a bitter & jealous person. Couldn t stand the fact that Casey is a far better mechanic than he is. The Ford race truck that was to be used at Alligators H4H show this September was built by Casey. Ran amazing. Now that Casey is no longer at the shop, he sold the truck and is telling others that he now doesn t trust Casey s work yet ANYTIME a customer would call that owned a Ford, oh man, he would brag about how he had the best Ford mechanic in the PNW! Casey put together the engine in Toms blue Chevy yet, he never once thanked Casey or gave him credit.And for the record, Naomi is Toms wife. SHE IS IN CHARGE OF WRITING DOWN ALL HOURS & CUSTOMER JOBS IN THE SCHEDULE BOOK & GOES OVER HOURS WITH TOM. Yet, Tom has called a few of Casey s customers (that left Toms shop, now go to Casey) to tell him that Casey fudged his hours. Everything was flat rate & ALL hours were gone over & confirmed with Naomi before she submitted to their accountant. .Casey is running Rocky Mountain Diesel in Athol. If you want a truly honest diesel mechanic that will get the job done, order the correct parts every time and have your truck running in top shape, & NOT put more parts on your truck that you DIDNT WANT OR NEED, you need to see Casey. He works on all 3 Diesel engines but specializes in Fords. He is highly reliable and over the last 10 years, many people have followed him & will only go see him to work on their trucks.

These guys went above and beyond! I was from out of town and on a tight work schedule. They got my truck in for diagnosis the next morning, and had it ready only a few hours later. Discovering I only had cold weather related issues they charged me nothing and refused compensation. They are honest and great communication. I wish I could give 6 stars!! A+ shop.

These guys are so kind and work so quickly. I feel very confident taking my truck here and this is the only place I'm going to come from now on. Plus, as a single mom, it can be scary to take your vehicle in for repairs and its so nice to feel like I'm not being ripped off :)

Started coming here almost 2 years ago and have always felt welcome and treated fairly. They do all the work on my 5.9 including oil changes. Highly recommend!!!

Tom is terrific! He replaced one bank of glow plugs. Prices is fair. Happy to have an excellent diesel mechanic!

Tom and his team replaced the transmission in my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. They did a great job, very happy with the workmanship.

I'd love to do some business here but he doesn't have any interest in working on a Power Stroke even for maintenance which is all I need. I think they need to rethink the business name.
