Overall this hostel is nice, but lots of the appliances were broken, making cooking a bit inconvenient. We tried to reach Beth over the phone and through texts for about two days during our stay after some car trouble, but we never heard back from her Lots of small strange rules, but it was fine. Website is hard to navigate and booking was confusing but the house keeper was accommodating and nice.

I had such an amazing stay at Beth s place. I came from staying at a different hostel right before this which was terrible and Teton Hostel was SO amazing compared to that. I couldn t have asked for a better place. The location was perfect, I personally thought the instructions for directions were very easy to follow contrary to someone else s comment, breakfast was complimentary and was a very nice breakfast like bagels yogurt fruit etc, there s many places to lounge outside of the bedroom, Netflix on the tv, and lots of bathrooms! There s at least 3 bathrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs. I never had an issue with having to wait for the bathroom. Everyone that stayed in the hostel when I was there was super friendly & I met a lot of awesome people!! Beth was super sweet and we talked for quite a bit and I really appreciate her AND the housekeepers hospitality her name is Gabrielle and she was so so sweet. People complaining about the sleeping situation probably never stayed in a hostel because that s what a hostel is. You share a room with people, and like I said above, I stayed in a hostel before this that was awful, I d say Teton Hostel is probably top of the line when it comes to a hostel. Would 10000% stay again!!

Perfect location, beautiful rooms, perfect price!I stayed here with my partner for one short night after a long drive - I wish I had planned to stay longer. The room I stayed in was super clean, had a large, very nice bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub, and the bed was comfortable. I m a traveling college student, so my budget is very limited, and Teton hostel hideaway was my saving grace after a 9 hour drive. Its a struggle to find something reasonable in the Tetons area. For the price, I expected nothing more than a place to sleep, but got a five star experience. The other guests were kind, the house dog, Dirk, was as sweet as could be, and the view of the stars from the balcony was stunning! We had to get up early to secure a spot at a campsite that was first come first serve, so I was unable to meet Beth, but she seemed very kind and understanding about my late arrival over the phone, and the accommodations were more than perfect. Thank you!Edit: upon reading other reviews I wanted to address one thing - it seems some people are upset by the no alcohol rule. As a college student, I can understand this rule a lot. Drunk people are messy and destroy things. I doubt this place would be as amazing as it is without this rule. And another side note- the jacuzzi works to whoever said it didn t. :)

Nice peaceful and quiet. After long days of exploring the National Parks it was nice to come back in the evening, take a shower and sit on the balcony.Linda Lue, one of the house managers, was nice to deal with and informative.

Exceptionally nice experience. Socially much different than staying at a hotel. This is the type of place that inspires artists and crafters to generate diverse creative thoughts. Social interactions are thoughtful and effortless. The people were a pleasure to meet. Diverse experiences shared. Everyone was health conscious and I learned a few nutritional relationships to add to my own culinary toolbox.Views are beautiful.Cell phone coverage is spotty in and near the Tetons and Yellowstone. In Google Maps, download the areas you plan to travel for offline navigation.

Fantastic hostel in a gorgoeous house located in a stunning countryside. Beth is a super friendly and welcoming host, I really enjoyed all the conversations that we had and all the tips/recommendations that she shared. The 4 days that I spent at the hostel really made me feel at home!(Dirk, the Great Dane that lives there, is an absolute gentle giant, and loves to be petted and cuddled!)

Great experience, gorgeous private room that could fit up to 5 people, free food available to create your own breakfast. Best little place to stay in the Tetons. Laundry is only available between 4 and 9 pm. No alcohol or smokers at all. Plan accordingly.

It has a beautiful view and is a lovely log cabin. I was disappointed by the fact I was kept up most of the night with the owner and her husband pointing lights in my face from after midnight until after 1 A.M. Also, her husband also had a CPAP that was probably the quietest I've ever heard. If you don't want/need much sleep it is the place to go. For my first time at a hostel I was surprised how organized it was. Not a bad experience and I made some new friends.

An incredible diamond in the rough. Makes you not want to leave. Great place near hiking and skiing. 1 hour away from Jackson hole. Beautiful cabin. Huge. Luxurious and so worth the price. Great host. My favorite place I've stayed at.

Great host, Beth is the best! They have an amazing Great Dane and he is the sweetest thing ever. It's in the beautiful Teton valley and mere minutes away from Grand Teton national park. I'd recommend anybody who loves the outdoors to check this place out!

The place absolutely beautiful, set at the base of some foot hills. Great views, friendly other guests. A big friendly dog name Drake. However the directions for where we were to sleep were not clear. My husband and I made last min reservations that at first were difficult to make but it worked out. The only negative thing I can truly said about it was when the owners got home (they were not there when we arrived) which was after midnight they were loud and rude, flipping on all of the lights in the rooms and opening/closing doors multiple times waking everyone up.

Beth was an awesome host. She took time to visit with her guests. I would recommend The Teton Hostel Hideaway to anyone with FIVE s. It was very relaxing. I plan on going back. Her dog Dirk was wonderful. It was fun to watch others play ping pong. I ended up playing also. Great view from any point on property. Saw about a dozen deer run across the property. It's on the border of Idaho & Wyoming.

What a great place! Location, vibes, guests and owner's family all contribute to Teton Hostel's outstanding feel, but Beth puts it all together and makes everyone welcome.Highly RecommendedAlso if you're in the West Yellowstone area, she has another place in Island Park, check it out!

Beth's place is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. It's about an hour and 20 minutes from Grand Teton but the price is the best in the area. Beds are comfy, the breakfast is free and Beth is a really warm and welcoming host. Would recommend to anyone traveling in the area!

One of the beds was broken along with one of the showers. The working shower reeked of mold. Overall, odd experience. A couple slept on the couch the entire night, which was off putting. I ended up not staying the second night as I found somewhere in Jackson at a comparable price with more privacy and clean, working, facilities. I have stayed in many hostels and this was by far the weirdest hostel experience I ve had.

-The hostel address was not clear and the adv. wasn't have the directionsthe directions send to me after 2 days from booking , that's mean is not honest with the customer and they said don't use kind of GBS's and don't Ask neighbor for the address , for me don't have time to find the hostel if the address not clear , I'm here to enjoy my time , no to waste my time to find the place , they suppose to put note in the adv. about the directions and the address and then maybe i make a reservation or not , please next time explain more about the directions and the address in the Adv.- not respectful with customer.NOTE:I GIVE YOU THIS NOTE BECAUSE I DONT WANT PEOPLE TO SUFFER TO FIND THE PLACE , NOT BECAUSE TO SEND ME MONY BACK

Beth is rude. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR BUSINESS!! She did not send out the info we needed in an email and then screamed at my wife and If in front of our 2 year old daughter. Make sure to look up Expedia and other site reviews. If you want to have a screaming host ,then this is the place. If you need a relaxing atmosphere DO NOT GO HERE!!

Had a very nice stay here. The woman who runs it is very friendly and every bed in the house was full. Cozy with so many folks, but a beautiful view of the Tetons and plenty of amenities to keep you occupied while you stay.

Great place. Friendly service and comfortable rooms. Rather large cabin on alot of acerage, no neighbors nearby and a long private driveway away from any sort of road. Picturesque horses and barns surround you. Great sunsets. Makes you feel right at home.
