Use them if they can provide a service you need. Time and time again they do it right in all aspects. Every time I go in there I feel confident they will exceed my expectations. Quality work. Knowledgeable staff with Bill who had helped me each time. I ve used them 10 times now over the last few years and will remain a loyal customer. My trailer which hauls my business around is with them right now and I m excited to get it back knowing they ll do a great job. More than a reasonable price. They re firing on all cylinders at that place.JimIdaho Underground

Called around and got quotes from local businesses. These guys were the best priced. Good quality work done and very knowledgeable staff I would definitely use these guys again.

Came in for a 5k lb hitch for my 94 Chevy 1500. Owner Bill seemed pretty direct, less centered towards customer service, which I don t mind as long as the product fits and works. They charged me $318 for it when the U-Haul in nampa quoted me $230. Only bought from them due to the hour and a half round trip drive to Nampa I didn t want to make. Awful mistake! Went to return it after installing it (didn t even drive the truck after install, so no wear just a few smudges of dirt, and a missing carriage washer. On the phone, Bill stated it would be a 15% restocking fee, which was a lot, but acceptable since the hitch had been on the truck already and needed to be cleaned. When I came in however, he looked at it, asked me if it was installed, then told me he d only give me $150 back. I had the hitch for 48 hours and it was missing a $2 carriage washer from Industrial Hardware. Quite literally scammed the hell out of me. BEWARE!!

Went in to make an appointment for my travel trailer ... ..Said they were 2 weeks out.. That told me they are busy which is good..Today was my appointment .Serviced axle.Checked brakes.. bearings .. repacked bearings new seals.. They made sure Im road ready to head out with trailerTook it in today brought it home todayVery pleased with customer care and service.. Highly recommend !!Mark

We've gotten hitches installed for bike racks in the past by UHaul (in CA) for other vehicles but haven't always had a great experience (last time we had an intermitent backend noise for the rest of the time we owned the vehicle) so we were happy to find a local business that specializes in hitches and was able to get us in right away after we bought a used Suburu Forester. Bill was helpful and easy to work with and we were in and out within an hour as he estimated. We knew we could get a slightly better price through Uhaul but we were happy to go through a local company that was supported by great reviews.

Was the only place in town that had my parts. They got me scheduled quickly and completed the job fast and right on quote! Highly recommended for your trailer & hitch needs.

SHORT STORY: If you need tires or a hitch, you cannot find a better business and better people to work with. Quality workmanship. Good capable people of integrity. Very reasonable pricing.LONG STORY: We recently were looking to get a hitch put on my wife s Volvo (for transporting our bikes to the green belt and to the mountains). She called Lyle Pearson Volvo Cars who at first quoted her $4,000! When she said no thank you, the service person said oh sorry, I was looking at the wrong number, it s only $3,300. To which she/we still said no thank you.I then started asking around, reading reviews - researching options - and we were referred to Major Tire & Hitch by another firm who is extremely highly rated in a related field (auto service - the owners of that firm said they would go to Major Tire & Hitch)When I called Major they were very courteous, professional, and straightforward. And, their price was less than 1/6 of what Lyle Pearson quoted. Bill at Major Tire & Hitch quoted us $495.Bill at Major Tire & Hitch ordered the hitch, it came in a few days later and it was installed within a week of my first call to Major - as quoted, on time, and without a snag of any kind.We will look to Bill and the team for all of our tire and hitch needs and confidently recommend others do the same. I took my single axle trailer and to be serviced. They had our trailer done in a reasonable time and it a very reasonable price. If I would have taken my trailer to my dealer I believe the price would have been twice as much. Bill at the front desk is very helpful in friendly and good to work with. So if you need good work done at a reasonable price take it to major tire and hitch.

I had a great experience with Major Tire & Hitch. I was given an accurate estimate for installation of my brake controller and receiver hitch. Their price beat their competitors by over $200. The work was done quickly and professionally.

Made the mistake of taking my utility trailer and truck to a camping sales and service shop got taken for 370 in diagnostic fees no fix. Found out about major tire and hitch and am so glad they had it fixed in an hour and half for less then half the price including parts! Thanks to Bill and his crew they are honest and hard working!

Service over and above!I was referred to this company for help with a system to tow my Jeep with my motorhome. I was specifically asking them for the easy method as I am a full time solo traveler. They did not disappoint with choosing the blue ox and the demco brake system. They set it up and showed me how to do it, then had me hitch and unhitch several times AND made sure I had a procedure check list before I left. Easy setup and quality parts. Great service at purchase but where they really shine is the after sales support. I upgraded my motorhome (bigger) and went in and Bill got me what I needed to make everything work with the upgraded motorhome.Now months later my connection to the motorhome came out and destroyed the 7 pin connection,user error, and I needed help with the wiring for my setup. I called Bill from the road and he called BlueOx for the correct pattern for the connections, BTW much different than the usual setup . He got me moving again in no time.Their sales, service and after sales support are above mark!

The best customer service! I took our 27 foot trailer in and they were able to quickly diagnose axle issues. They said it would be about a week to get all the parts in and installed. 2 days later my trailer was ready. I highly recommend Major Tire & Hitch!

Excellent service! After a tire blowout took out the brake wiring on my fifth wheel, Major Tire & Hitch fit me in same day. I live in my camper full-time and Major Tire & Hitch made sure that I was back on the road ASAP. I would highly recommend them!

I went to this shop a couple of times: the first was to get a replacement hub/bearing set for my trailer. He knew exactly what I needed, they had the parts I needed, and at a better price than I found online. The second time was to bring my trailer in for a diagnosis of what could be causing the issues I was having. Bill came out and in about 30 seconds found the issue - a tire - and had me on my way. I appreciated his expertise and also not trying to drag the trailer in for a shop charge, and for any future trailer needs I'll be back here.

Wow, I was very pleasantly surprised at what a great job these folks did. Not only did they install a hitch in a very timely manner, but they did some repairs on my trailer light plug without even being asked. What a great company for going the extra mile. I will use this company exclusively from now on.

Good: clear quote on the phone; got the truck in instantly that morning; fast service, clean and professional shop. The experience itself was fine.not so good: part cost double what I could have bought it for online. Labor rate was 65 bucks for 1/2 hour of work. never offered to show me how it worked or show me the install before paying. for that kind of excessive price i'd expect friendlier service.

Friendly, straight-forward, and reasonably priced. Major Tire & Hitch put a brake controller in my F250 and fixed all my wiring. Had my truck back the same day and received a thorough walkthrough on how to use my new controller. I will use them again and would recommend their services.

My wife, kids, and I packed up our home and hit the road in our brand new fifth wheel on Saturday 9/25 and were heading to Texas from Central Oregon. Along the way our truck kept displaying an error message trailer not connected and service brake controller infrequently throughout the trip so I had to stop and work with the connections a few times and then there came to the point where it wouldn t go away AT ALL. Our rig is 43 and 18k lbs so when you receive those types of messages you don t just keep driving (IMO).We got as far as the Boise Stage Stop (recommend to stop and check it out if you drive passed there) and no one was able to offer help (understandable)All mobile RV repair places were closed or did not work on electrical or trailer brakes.One of the RV repair places suggested calling Major Tire & Hitch. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought it was an issue with my 5ver not my truck.I had to wait the weekend out at the truck stop before I called and spoke to Bill on Monday morning and told him my situation. He said to bring it by and he could take a look this afternoon but he didn t want to make any promises that he could fix it. Also understandable as it could be anything but the fact that he didn t immediately turn me down or say find someone else was FAR more than ANYONE else provided.We got towed to Major s and his team David and William quickly (not waiting until the afternoon like he stated earlier ) got to work diagnosing BOTH my truck and 5ver and they immediately found the issue to be BOTH my truck wiring and my 5ver wiring.They got me fixed up and on the road safely and with confidence the issue was fixed. We have had no wiring issues since.This may seem easy for some but not for us. This is now our home and being a father with 2 daughters and a wife, staying at a truck stop is not what you want for your family so our ENTIRE life in their hands. Thank you sooooooo much Bill, William, and David for all the help and work you did for my family and me. I HIGHLY recommend Major to anyone having issues with their trailer (relating to wiring or hitch set up) they are knowledgeable and offer a no nonsense experience which I greatly appreciate.

I had Major Tire & Hitch fix my weight distribution hitch that another shop in Garden City had improperly installed.The other shop also touched the wrong wires and ruined my electric brake controller. I had to buy a new one from them for $400 since I didn't have time to shop it.Major Tire and Hitch is the place to go first for hitch work. I've recommended this business to my friends and they have been pleased. Just go here. You'll be happy.

Appreciated the staff's helpfulness and quick service. I went to another hitch installer (*cough* Uhaul *cough*) and had had a lack-luster install completed. When it was time to have a hitch added to my new vehicle, and at the recommendation of a friend, I dropped into Major Tire & Hitch. I am not knowledgeable in this area at all, and the staff took the time to answer all my questions. I felt confident that they would do an excellent install and I was not disappointed. So forget the other install places and get it done right the first time.

We were passing through on a cross country trip when we realized that our tow car lights were not working. We searched the internet and found Major Tire and Hitch. We pulled in and the service manager asked us a few questions and then quickly ran out to the motorhome and checked the system. At first he asked us to come back the next day, but when he realized we weren't local he squeezed us in and within an hour we had a new plug, fully functioning system and were on our way without a delay to our next destination. Would highly recommend the team at Major Tire and Hitch. Reasonable prices, knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Thanks to Major Tire & Hitch, our old boat trailer is now road worthy again! We really appreciated all their help getting so many broken parts fixed & replaced. They were so helpful & nice throughout the whole process & made sure we knew what our options were & how much it would cost. If we need more trailer help in the future, we'll definitely be back.

Reasonably priced considering, extremely professional, and know what they're doing - probably as well as anybody in town. I struggled with an issue with Ford for a long time that I should have taken to them immediately and bypassed Ford altogether. Recommended

Bill knows what he s talking about. Bought the Blue Ox system and trailer brake control he recommended for what I was towing. Glad I did. 7-8% downhill grades for 1-2 miles and I felt in control the entire way.Thanks again Bill!
