Both Ben, and his son Devin were great to deal with. I am reluctant to purchase used vehicles from dealerships, like most people. I found Family Motors through Marketplace. After looking at the truck I eventually purchased from them, I did my homework. Word of mouth and reputation go a long way. Everyone I spoke with who have had anything to do with Family Motors only had one word to say. Excellent That was my experience as well. They were very straight forward and honest. I believe they have great integrity. Half of our deal on my 2021 Ram 2500 was done on a handshake alone. Excellent.

So many great things to say. They were super easy to work with and such a friendly group of staff. They made the buying process super fast and I was in and out. I'll start by saying I have a definite concern going to used car dealers, but Family Motor Company is a clear exception. I ran into a tough spot when the engine in my 02 Camry seized up, but when I saw the 2014 Camry SE these guys posted online I thought it could be a stroke of good fortune. I spoke to Ben the next day over the phone and immediately felt comfortable thanks to his professionalism, knowledge and honesty! We arranged a test drive, and the car was outstanding on the road. Ben went through a very clean Carfax history with me, and it looked great! He also alerted me to the torque converter issue with '12-'14 Camry transmissions, and showed that they had already fixed that problem ahead of time. Ben was absolutely fantastic during the entire process, great with keeping in communication, able to answer my many questions and concerns, and even knocked off $500 as a thank you to my military service. I could not be happier with this experience, and I feel a huge weight of stress lifted off me! I highly recommend Ben at Family Motor Company to anyone that is looking for an honest and transparent used car dealer with great quality vehicles and even better customer service!! Thank you Ben!!

Bought a 2002 ford ranger from the family motor company on December 7 2022 took in test drive noticed something wrong with the door ben was very nice knocked a little off the total price that we agreed on I bought it and drove from Idaho to California truck did great. I brought it to a shop for a full vehicle inspection the mechanic said it was the nicest truck he had seen in its year had no problems at all. I very highly recommend the family motor company they sell high quality vehicles. Thank you to Ben again for the amazing truck I couldn t be happier with my first vehicle.

Let me first say - I don't deal with used car dealers. However, Family Motors (Ben / Devin) had ascertained a hard to find low mileage rust free 1st Gen Tundra I really wanted. The price was not cheap, but fair given the supberb condition of the vehicle. I purchsed this truck site unseen and had it delivered. I am happy to say that the truck was in exact condition as described and rest assured - I am very picky. However, when the truck arrived the started went bad immediately - Family Motors was under no obligation to refund a penny, but they paid 25% of the cost to have a new starter replaced. I thought that was fair. I don't deal with used car dealers, but I would deal with these guys again. I am happy and was treated well. Sometimes in business we forget to say thank you - so thank you Ben and Devin. Best Regards - David (In Montana).

Wanted to thank Joseph at family motor company in Oregon for a fabulous experience buying my 2012 Ford F 250 service truck, I have been searching for quite some time for the perfect truck for my business and finally found it there. Bought 2018 Toyota Tacoma and got no more that 59 miles and check engine light came on! We know they just undone battery to shut it off. Of course, they said sold as is and don't care to take care of the problem. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Truly a family business and they work hard to be honest and forthcoming in their business dealings. Very accommodating and even helped me coordinate a rental return by driving with me to the rental agency. Very satified with the service and I am sure my truck will go the distance!

Great experience these folks had a great selection of good vehicles to choose from super friendly and I love my purchase. The prices where well under every where else I looked. It was worth the 4 hr drive from Montana. The sales rep ben was very knowledgeable about the products on his lot I will definitely be buying my next vehicle here.

The following is a summary of my experience purchasing a vehicle from Family Motor Company in Tualatin, Oregon in July of 2021. I am leaving the review here because their Google presence for the Tualatin, Oregon location no longer is visible. In regard to my experience purchasing the vehicle, it was disclosed to me that the vehicle was purchased from an auction in Arizona, it was a previous "government" vehicle and that it had some paint fixed on the driver door. I purchased the vehicle based off of this information. Soon thereafter I took my vehicle to my mechanic and he pointed out to me that the entire left side of the vehicle had likely been replaced due to a previous accident. I called Joseph to address this issue as I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right with me. His wife Faith called me back and refused to let me talk to Joseph even though he was the one I dealt with in purchasing the vehicle. After talking to his wife Faith on the phone I stated to her that I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right for me or I would have to leave negative reviews online about my experience. Her immediate response was to threaten to sue me, which by her doing this violates the Consumer Review Fairness Act of 2016. After some back and forth we agreed that they would give me the name of a mechanic to inspect the vehicle for evidence of a previous accident. After not hearing back from them for over a month I reached out to them again to get the name of a mechanic. On 11/11/2021 the mechanic inspected the vehicle and concluded that the hood and right front corner panel had been replaced and the entire vehicle was repainted, all due to a previous accident. Family Motor Company responded to this assessment and stated that since there "is no indication of damage to the frame or sub-structure" they "are not liable" and will be doing nothing in regards to this matter. Well, Faith stated again via email that the only thing they will do is sue me if I leave a negative review so I guess there's that.

Portland/Tigard location. Shady. Would give negative stars. Luckily I didn't get dropped off with my baby. Had my 5 year old and 2 month old with me to finalize and pay in full. After Joseph and I signed all the paperwork, including DMV forms and trip permit, I go to hand over my check for the keys and he has "a freak out moment". Price on their own website and multiple texts on agreed price from his wife that I paid for a cashier's check for, as well as on our contract, were a "typo". Won't hand me the keys. He goes on to tell me how much he spent on this car, price of the 2021 model (we're talking about a 10 year old used car), pulls up a Craigslist ad for $10,000 more than THEIR website, confirmation texts, and written and signed contract. Says they can change paperwork if there's a typo but won't show me where on our signed contract it says that. He started off apologizing and saying he wasted our time and that it's never happened.. He quickly became rude and arguementative. If I signed a finance agreement with a "typo" I would be S.O.L. He would not honor our SIGNED contract. Stole my copy because I was distracted with my baby and what he was trying to pull, said he is going to shred iylt refused to give me back my copies of signed paperwork that I have a right to. Shady, shady. Look at the other negative review for this location!

Ben is the man! Hooked me up with a sweet Duramax. Couldn t be happier. Always a gamble getting an older truck but seeing how they pick out their trucks made me confident that no matter what truck I bought it would be a good one.
