Exceptional Service in the Face of Challenges at Lex Brodie sRecently, I had the opportunity to visit Lex Brodie s for a routine oil change and safety check on my car. UPDATE: Great customer recovery. They followed up and when I was back today, I arrived earlier than my appointment and they were on it. Appreciate the effort mahalo folks!Made an appointment 2 months ago to change tires. When I arrived was told 90 mins - 2 hrs. Vehicle sat for 90 mins before they even brought it in. Why have an appointment? Wasted almost 3 hours. Watched them move slower than if they were on a break. Overpromising and underdelivering is bad business.

I had a nail in my tire and came in on the fly. They were very very busy but fit me in and gave a great deal too. Mechanics all seem to take pride in their work. Rare these days.

Josh the store manager at the Kamuela Lex Brodie's was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to squeeze me in last minute for a wheel alignment, and he even did it himself because the technicians shift was over. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail, and work ethic. Thanks again Josh!

I have waited now over 1 hour, 30 minutes for them to check out a slow leak on a rear tire. I had an appointment. The tech said 45 minutes. They haven't even moved the car yet! No service!Update: So the manager came out shortly after I posted this review and apologized. It took another 30 minutes to fix my tire. He offered free tire rotation in the future as compensation. I now gave the review 2 stars. I m not sure how long I would have waited if I had not posted the review.

I have been taking my vehicles to Lex Brodie's for longer than I can remember, and can honestly say their service is getting better all the time, which is saying a lot as they have been consistently good all along. The online appointment option works smooth and great, service reps are all super friendly, caring and helpful, and car gets in and out in a very efficient manner. Could not be more pleased with every aspect of this business.

**Update**I'm updating and revising my review. Nice to see that Josh and crew read their reviews, accept criticism, and work at improving their product/service. After posting my original review, Josh had Clint call me to make sure that I had a follow up appointment. Dropped off the car this morning and they took care of everything and were even done before lunch. Treated me very well, too. I mean, they are always friendly, that's never changed. Josh also acknowledged the issue and more than fairly compensated me for my time and inconvenience without me even asking for anything. Everyone makes mistakes. When someone is willing to admit their errors, apologizes sincerely and makes amends, well that's the kind of people and type of company I want to work with and promote. Thanks Lex Brodie, Waimea. I'm sure your namesake would be proud.*Original review*I want to support local business, but local businesses need to step up and do proper work. A few months ago, took my truck in for them to check out an oil leak, tire rotation and wheel alignment. First of all, they were not able to locate the oil leak. I wonder if they even tried? Another mechanic immediately identified the problem as the valve cover gasket and fixed it. Secondly, after the alignment, the truck now pulls to the right. Wasn't doing that before, so not sure what's up with that. Today, I dropped off my car for a safety inspection (made the appointment at the beginning of the month, made a morning appointment because I finish work early), oil change, some other work. Car was there at 5:00am. Josh called at 8, confirming some of the work and told me it would be done around 11, noon at the latest. I show up shortly after noon and they haven't even started. So great, now I have to either stay late or make ANOTHER appointment? I've been using them for a long time and don't usually complain about the minor issues I've had, but the last few times, it's been frustrating to work with them.

I really appreciated how Lex Brodie's squeezed me in so I could have my car safety checked. Their waiting room is very comfortable. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. Great service!

We called Jan at Lex Brodie's to get our car looked at and we got the same day services. Excellent service. We have 7 works vehicles and all 7 of the vehicles only gets serviced at Lex in Waimea.

I have been a customer of Lex Brodie s for decades and they gave me excellent service throughout those years. Unfortunately, on February 3, 2020 they disappointed me big time. I had an appointment at 11am for safety check and I didn t get out of there until almost 12:30 (just for a safety check) even though I even checked in 10 minutes earlier than my appointment time so they can tend to my car at 11am, my scheduled time. I waited at the lounge area. By 12:00pm I got curious that my car didn t even move from where I parked so I asked the customer agent how long more I have to wait telling him my car was still in the same place. He went in the back to find out and came back out telling me that they ll take care of it next. What the heck? Why am I making an appointment if they cannot tend to my car on the time I scheduled it? Finally, my car moved from where it was parked and voila, it was done in 10 minutes. All these years when I brought my car for the scheduled safety check, I was out of there in half an hour or less. This incident is very disappointing. I hope the management will conduct a research about this unacceptable experience.

It was a good experience. I went in because I had a slow leaking tire that was getting faster and faster. Clint set me up and was very helpful and professional. Car was done at the time he said it would be. Spot on. They did a very good and honest job. Didn t tell me something else was wrong as some places are known to do. Fixed me up real quick and now I don t have to constantly worry about the tire going flat on my wife and kids while I m away.

Staff was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The Tire s we re rotated and balanced, the brake rotors were machined evenly. The cost was a bit more than expected, but worth it. The work was well done and my car drives and rides like a dream.

This place seems to be busy all the time it's probably because they do good work. I suggest a reservation. I knew Lex Brody from Oahu and from surfing, he was a smart hardworking, conscientious, gentleman.

Had an appointment for safety check at 2pm. They informed me I wouldn t pass because of tires. I bought my last four tires here and have all my oil changes done here. Tires never rotated, even though they said they had. Ask if they have two tires in stock and if it could be done that day. After much searching...yes they do but it will be two hours. Ok fine we can fine something to do. Come back at 4:15, truck outside... not because anything was done, nothing had been done. Guess they completely forgot. Wait another hour NOTHING...then I get a call while sitting in the wait room, they pulled the WRONG SIZE TIRES....how does that even happen when I bought the last set there?! Seriously that place is a complete joke. Oh and of course the correct size was more expensive. I should have walked out after the first two hours. Do yourself a favor and find a better place like I ll be doing.

My son needed to change the two front tires with new tires. The service technician changed the tires within an hour and a half and he did an inspection of the car. Lex Brodie s gave me a copy of the receipt and the results of the inspection quickly. I would recommend servicing your car at Lex Brodie s. The staff are very professional.

Great company with great service! I got new wheels and tires and needed them mounted. They got them done in a timely manner and checked my alignment to make sure I was safe. Very pleased with Lex Brodie's Waimea. I have been with you guys since you guys were at the Atlas store and I will continue to come to Lex Brodie's Thank you!-Eddie

Prompt, efficient, experts. They service far more than tires. I had a leak checked, my brakes checked and my inspection done. Fair, honest prices. Friendly staff. If you are waiting for your vehicle there is a waiting room and a rest room on site. If you get wander lust, like I do, you can stroll over to the Parker Shopping Center adjacent to Lex Brody's. Kamuela's Lex Brody has won my business.

Awesome experience from start to finish at the Kamuela Lex Brodie! Everyone was super friendly, efficient, and I love that they give you your exact pricetag upfront and don't do additional work without pre-authorizing with you! And all the pics they send you to show you what they inspected, and any issues they found, are really useful. You guys just got two new lifelong customers. :-D

Was driving through mud lane and got a flat tire. It was a Saturday and all of the mechanic/tire shops were closed. We drove to Lex Brodie Tires Kamuela, the shop was technically closed but this kind gentlemen by the name of Josh decided to help us anyway and patch our tire! He was so generous with his time! He could ve said no, but decided to help us anyway! Wow! Mahalo nui loa brother!Biba Guam!

The Waimea shop is a rip off don t take your car here the will make up problems that don t exist so they can charge you more. It has happens twice where they told me that I need to change a part that I had just changed before I brought it in to do an a alignment this happened on 2 of my vehicles.

I was very concerned when a low pressure icon appeared on the dashboard of my car. I am not particularly mechanically inclined so I was very unsure of myself when I arrived at the Waimea Lex Brodie tire center. Jan greeted me when I came in to ask for help. She was extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. She escorted me to the bay where Ezra met me with a huge smile and friendly face. He checked my tire pressure and had me on my way within five minutes with a smile on my face secure in knowing I was now safe.Sharon Peterson

I visited to get my safety inspection to register an out of state car. The staff was polite, knowledgeable and worked efficiently to handle the inspection. They understood the registration process, and they handled putting on the new plates and safety sticker promptly. The entire experience was professional and effortless.
