For a DMV, we actually had a good experience in this one compared to other ones on the island! We had an appointment and was helped right on time. The ladies both in front and inside the building were very helpful and we got in and out fast! Would be processing all our DMV related stuff in this one in the future.

Using AlohaQ, we got there at 12:50 for a Friday 1PM appointment. You must wait in line, even if you have an appointment. The lady at the door will periodically call out to those with appointments to move to the head of the line. We got our documents verified by 1:18. By 1:31, we were allowed to line up inside (they limit the number of people inside as an anti-COVID measure). There are 3-4 windows inside, processing. By a little past 2, we were done.The service was very friendly, but the queueing procedure was a bit confusing. If you cannot get an AlohaQ appointment at the busier DMVs, it s worth trying this one out. Just make sure you have all your forms ready and an AlohaQ appointment to facilitate the process.

Idk what s up with the bad reviews but this is one of the best dmv s I ve dealt with since I ve been in the army. The employees were extremely helpful especially since it was my 1st time registering my truck in Hawaii. I didn t make an appointment prior to showing up and the wait time wasn t bad at all. Best experience I ve had at a dmv

Worst service ever, my boyfriend had an appointment time of 1:24pm with ALOHAQ and he didn t get called until 3:20 to take his permit test. Worker ladies all had attitude problem, and even accused an old lady of cheating on her permit test and held up people because of the arguing back and forth of the lady and the worker. I suggest doing a company sit down to talk to their workers because if they re gonna work with people they should know how to treat others.

Very friendly and satisfying personal. Went there as a walk-in for a driver license duplicate and the lady assisted me. If I could give more than 5 stars I will.

For a DMV it was a nice experience. Their staff is friendly and cheerful. The wait was not very long either. Parking can be a pain, as it is very limited so you may find yourself circling a few times (if you have an appointment get there early so you can park). Also there is only AC where the counters are, which has limited space, so you will be waiting outside most of the time. There is shade and seating but I would still recommend bringing a cold drink.

Place seems very unorganized. Employees seem to only give you partial information and you end up having to leave and comeback to get the next requirement this process continues until you complete your task. Appts are really far our for something that takes 10 minutes like a test. Maybe hire more people are figure out a better system. It s really disappointing and time consuming to go to the DMV for almost anything.

Used AlohaQ and things went smoothly, looks like they were able to take a few walk ins too. The longest part was waiting outside to get into the DMV. They also have one agent outside to make sure all your paperwork is in order. Once inside the line went fast, only took 20-30 mins to finish everything and leave.All the workers there were super nice too!

So I have a medical history of GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and the receptionist I went to was being very rude, very hostile and was yelling at me. Instead of being patient or explaining anything to me. She barely looked at the documents I provided to her and tossed them on the desk and said they weren't right. I ended up crying because of an anxiety attack and she proceeded to being hostile to me. Even when I had to call my mother for the documents, the receptionist was yelling at me and my mother heard it. When my father showed up 2 minutes before closing they insisted I make a new appointment online despite me having this scheduled since June. Very poor customer service, I recommend the DMV in Windward mall as they are more kind and patient with clients.

Waited in line for an hour, then 4 o'clock came, and they told everyone in line that we had to come back the next day. I was the last one in line, and there were at least 15 people in front of me. Talk about ruthless. How about @4 you close the line, and finish doing your damn job? You take forever to process the requests, we'll you gotta stay late.

No. Appointment no service. That's pretty much the attitude of the people that works there. No appointments are frowned upon, and they won't even assist you or go above and beyond to assist customer. What a joke..

Fantastic DMV, probably the best I ve used across 3 countries and 4 states. If you have all of your paperwork in order and have an appointment set up you can be in an out for an out of state license transfer in 30 minutes with your temporary license in hand. Staff is incredibly friendly and polite.

Took a little bit to get in the door, but it's worth it. My patience truly paid off!! They were able to correct an issue with my record transfer! I'm very grateful for their amazing customer service and support! Thank you very much!

There was a nice girl named Honey who was very helpful and super patient with everyone as she checked our documents before going in. When it was my turn a girl named Shiryl helped me she was very pleasant and I didn't have a divorce decree but was allowed to come back later and wait. Overall the employees were very nice you just have to make sure all documents w address and name are not more than 2 months old.

Don t waste your time, you could at least have respect for service members, be professional in the work you do. The line is backed up and they supposedly offer next day appointments but when i checked during the timeframe it s for march 30th as the earliest. so i stand up and ask the short lady with the high pitched annoying voice that sounds like nails on a chalkboard, there are others waiting by the door to ask questions as well, she tells me hold on so i wait, for 20 minutes and when i ask again she says hold on and just blantanly disregards my precense like i just didn t wait 2 1/2 hours to step through the front door. YOUR WORKERS NEED BETTER TRAINING! Disgusted and disappointed as always, no wonder the reviews are low. So many people walking away because of you people and your incompetency.

Really bad service and customer service. If the personnel working here cant handle serve a customer and give a normal customer service, they should QUIT THEIR JOB and so something else. Personnel in the DMV is mixed with bad a good attitude servers, good luck having your business handle right.

From Depart wahiawa city hallThe supervisor Luz was so rude telling me how not having an appt could take hours but if people keep trickling in and you are not helping the people in stand by that s where I find it rude. ESP asking people on stand by to wait outside where they don t offer any seating and it s hot. If you wanna make people sit outside then offer straying or simple just offer a day of ticket process and have appts check in and get priority. Simple because people w/o appts were being helped before the people waiting outside. It disgusts me when someone wants to reason their wrong and when I asked to sit inside she said she didn t want confusion and I was so shook on how they could get confused just by me sitting inside cause I don t wanna be in the heat. Shouldn t every customer have the same experience ?

Got my out of state drivers license transferred to a HI one and it was a breeze! The staff were really friendly and super efficient. They double checked everything and really helped make me feel less stressed about the whole process. I really appreciated them!

Now I came here on a Thursday morning. 8 AM. Didn t get seen until 12, no biggie. Long slow line. As anticipated at any place like this. Luckily we got a very nice lady who helped us. Either come SUPER early and get here before line forms, I m guessing 7:30?( the don t open til 8) or wait for right after lunch the line seemed to die down. Don t try to come on a lunch break or anything. You won t make it in. It was slow yeah, but there was a lot of people who didn t have the right paper and that are rude. Give the staff a break. They don t get to choose who works there either. Granted I know they should have good attitudes. But the 2 I saw when I went in. They were very nice.

The most painless DMV experience I've ever had.Needed to transfer my out of state Florida drivers license to a Hawaii license. Showed up at noon on a Wednesday without an appointment. I had prefilled out the State of Hawaii Driver's License Application form but they had copies available outside.Stood in line for about 10 minutes. A lady came out and put me on the list. Waited another 10 minutes and I was called in. Another 10 minutes and I was done walking out with a temporary license. When my permanent license comes in the mail it will be good until 2030.In my wildest dreams I would not have thought it would have been so easy. Thanks Wahiawa DMV!

This DMV was surprisingly awesome. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The lady I talked to was extremely helpful and sweet. There is an ATM right out front that doesn't charge you to use and the parking is great. If you have all your correct paperwork ready, it's a painless trip. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. Also, I think it helps a lot to try and go at an odd time. 11am - 2pm on the weekdays has worked out well for me.

HORRIBLE attitudes and customer service! Zero service with a smile! We were yelled at for literally following instructions- as if they were talking to little kids.One of their clerks approached us in the line outside to verify and validate our paperwork. As she completed verification, she stated we were good to go. So we entered the facility and waited in line to be helped. While waiting about three (3) staff members came out to ask us why we were in line (inside)."Who told you guys to wait in here? Who told you to come inside? The line starts outside!"OK! We are well aware of that! We were instructed to come inside!"Do you have your paperwork? Where's your paperwork?"ALL of these questions asked with ATTITUDE! Like really? We are not children and if you're not happy with your job then find another one!Too early for all this attitude! Sheesh!!!After all the mix-confusion...the person who actually helped me was pleasant!Live Aloha! Share Aloha! Smile Aloha!

Failed on the driving test sighting the following.1. Used turn signal too early?2. When making a right hand turn need to be as far right of the right lane as possible.3. Waited too long to execute a left turn. (I guess we were too safe)4. When making a left turn must turn into the left lane then execute a lane change even if turning right immediately after left turn.5. Wanders or drifting.6. Poor observation.Place is a serious joke!!!!

Easy to find...."clerks" fairly efficient. Patio large for waiting area and pretty cool so comfortable enough to wait you turn. Appointments in timely fashion as well. Ample parking.

Although I did not have all of my documents, the wonderful Lady that took my appointment was extremely helpful and courteous by providing a list of the proper acceptable documents and all of the forms necessary to return for a successful outcome at my next visit. I just wish I got her name so I could thank her on this post.

Wahiawa drivers license center is located in the same bldg as the police station and with Covid going on was fairly quiet when I went there at 8am. If the parking lot is full there is plenty of street parking, just be careful when your pulling out because the sidewalk crosses the entrance and is hidden behind a wall so it's hard to see if pedestrians are about to enter the road. Besides that the tellers are all friendly and they only allow very few people to be inside the office at the same time, so it feels very clean and safe.
