My small family had a wonderful stay at Aloha Junction Guest House in Volcano, Hi. The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The home was amazing, spacious, and cozy, with lots of parking space and a beautiful garden. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and I loved the extra snacks and drinks that were provided in the room. It was such a nice welcome after a long day of exploring and taking in the steam vents and trails around Kilauea. I was so impressed by the quality and service of this bed and breakfast that I wanted to write this review before even spending the night. I highly recommend Aloha Junction Guest House to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Volcano.Safety: There is a gate at the front of the property that provides an extra sense of security.

Entire experience here was positive, but because we never interacted in person with a host, I just can't give 5 * for service, bc in-person human interaction DOES make a difference. All the service I received on phone was very helpful though. Room was EXTREMELY clean, and both beds and bedding were VERY comfortable! Gardens surrounding were beautiful. Very close to Volcanoes National Park! Thank you AJG for a comfortable stay!

This was a great experience overall! I stayed here for 4 nights in the Nene room and it was great. It was a very simple check in process and the room was exactly as described and pictured, very clean and updated as well. I had an issue with the tv on the first night, but I arrived so late I didn t get to it until the next day and it was taken care of very promptly. Robert was very nice and made sure I had everything I needed. I saw him a few times during my stay taking care of things around the property and each time he was friendly and checked in to see how things were. The walls are a little thin and you can hear some light noise from other rooms as it is a house and not a hotel, but with the tv on or my white noise machine when I m sleeping, I couldn t hear anything and it did not take away anything from the experience!

Fabulous spot to stay at when you are visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! Aloha was easy to find, a little over 6 minutes from the park. They made it easy to check-in, sending information for entering when checking-in after hours. Ahead of time they sent an email with suggested places to eat, which was really helpful because there are not a ton of restaurants open during certain days of the week in Volcano Village. We stayed in the Garden Room and it was spacious with two queen beds, a small kitchenette, and private bathroom. It also had a door that entered onto the shared back patio. Everything was very clean. Breakfast, part of the room price, was served at 8 am though they put the food out a little ahead of time. I had seen someone else's review that described pancakes for breakfast and I got excited, but it was basically a continental breakfast with some instant oatmeal, boxes of cereal, and yogurt cups. They also served a papaya half and boiled egg to all guests. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in Volcano Village!

We stayed in the Garden Room. Can t beat the location and hospitality delivered by Robert and Susan! Email communication beforehand (if even it was automated) was amazing, very detailed, and well-timed for our stay. Breakfast was promptly at 8a with coffee beforehand. Sat out on the back porch, drank coffee and enjoyed the morning rain shower. We ve read some of the negative reviews and it seems those folks just don t understand what a bed and breakfast is. We enjoyed conversation with some new acquaintances we met at Breakfast from Minnesota. Great experience!

Aloha Junction was the perfect pit stop for our one night by Volcanoes National Park while driving around the big island. We stayed in the Alpine room, which was extremely comfortable and had access to the large wraparound porch with plenty of seating both in the room and on the porch. Breakfast included fresh fruit, pancakes, sausages, yogurt, and juice. As others have mentioned, the hosts (Robert and Susan) sent plenty of information about the area and check-in instructions in case they weren't available when we arrived.I would absolutely recommend staying at Aloha Junction if you're planning to visit the area!

A hospitable B&B that is just 10 -15 minutes away from Volcano National Park that has everything you need and a delightful breakfast with fresh eggs from their own farm in the back! Robert is a tremendous host that ensures your stay is relaxing and that you are comfy. This is a great stop if you re trying to find a place in this area!

Literally 3 min drive from the entrance to Volcano National Park! The management is very very nice and accommodating; they also went out of their way to make sure we were happy and checked if we had any questions. The rooms are simple, but the house has a lot of history (just ask)! I he breakfast was good, even with a Hawaii touch macadamia nut pancakes!

We loved staying at Aloha Junction! The rooms were bigger than I expected, it felt very private even though it s a B and B, our room (the Alpine Room) had a fridge, microwave, bathroom and balcony! The bed was huge and super warm, lots of extra blankets, and the fold out couch made it perfect for a family of 3. The site is beautiful, there are chickens and nene geese, and the owners are very nice and helpful! The breakfast is delicious, and the location is excellent. I would highly recommend staying at Aloha Junction, it made our trip to Volcano perfect!!!

Robert was friendly and accommodating from the beginning. He cooks up a great breakfast too! You can tell he's an experienced host. My husband and I are partial to vintage Hawaiian architecture and have stayed in many plantation style homes like Robert's over the years. You feel transported to an earlier time. The interior rooms keep the vintage feel as well. The whole property is lush, floral, and peaceful. Loved being minutes away from the national park and had dinner at the lodge per Robert's recommendation. We will stay longer next time we visit.

This was an amazing place to stay! We lucked out with a last minute booking, but I would recommend doing it well in advance. The home has beautiful grounds plus interesting birds who call it home. We got the Pele suite which was very spacious and had the most comfortable beds we have both ever slept in. Breakfast was prepared right at 8:00! This is a great place to stay if you want to visit the National Park as it s maybe a 10 minute drive. Volcano Village has only a few food options, so I recommend bringing your own groceries. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas but is naturally a gorgeous home! I highly recommend staying here!

Robert was kind and welcoming since the beginning! The rooms were well cleaned, along with being provided our own kitchen area. Although we only stayed one night, we were greeted with breakfast in the morning with a variety of food, all home cooked and delicious!

We loved staying at Aloha Junction! Robert s B&B is located extremely close to Volcanoes Park and is super cozy + warm. We stayed in the Heritage room which was plenty large and well furnished. Breakfast included lovely meals of macadamia nut pancakes, eggs, and fresh fruit!

We were very pleased with our visit here. Clean, charming bed and breakfast that felt very private and personal. The breakfast was great, as well as the time spent on the large porch facing the garden. Conveniently located next to the volcano National Park made it easy to visit the park after dark and see the glow of the lava.

My family of four stayed here while visiting Volcano National Park. The room was large and comfortable. We had our own entrance and bathroom. The house is in a beautiful spot and you could sit on the porch all day and relax if you had time. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend this spot!

Spent two nights in this B&B, and loved it. We stayed in the Peacock room which was nice and spacious, had a private entrance and a little outdoor seating area in the back. Recommend staying here if you want easy access to Volcanos National Park.

A great stay, as usual! We just LOVE the Pele Suite - the beds are very warm and comfortable and we love having two bathrooms. We appreciated the host s thoughtful touches, including quality soaps, bottled water, and a variety of teas. The breakfast was amazing with blueberry pancakes, sausage, egg, and fresh fruit. Will definitely stay again!

Robert made it easy to come and go with an amazing breakfast.Price that we were told on the phone was not the price we were charged. We ended up paying double what we were told. Communication was lacking.Overall accommodations were nice but the price didn't fit

I'm Mike not Pat, but I can't say enough about my stay here. I could not have enjoyed the experience more. The people at the B & B are friendly, professional and the island is clear and beautiful. There is no problem with the volcano's fissure # 8 at the B & B. The skies were blue and sunny, the room was extremely comfortable and I could not have asked for more. Erica, the lovely lady who serves breakfast was the nicest person I have ever met. Stay there you will love it, I can't wait to go back.In spite of what the media says, it's just a small portion of the island involved with the lava and smoke from the volcano. Pray for the people who have lost their homes and tourist business. Go, stay there, you will love it.Mike Christopher

We loved our stay at Aloha Junction. The breakfast with all the tips that Erica gave us before we headed out for our excursion were great. There are two restaurants and a small convenience store in walking distance. It s very close to the National Park but still in a quiet area. I would very much recommend staying there.

Amazing breakfast and nice rooms with soft bed's. They had a very helpful basket by the door filled with flashlights, sunblock and everything else to use during your stay. Came in very helpful while midnight volcano touring. Enjoyed the clean, beautiful yard filled with flowers.

The room we stayed in was very nice, clean and quiet and the breakfast was great as well. I wish the blinds and curtains on the windows provided a little more privacy because it was relatively easy for someone outside or entering one of the other rooms to see where you sleep. Its something that hanging a bedsheet could fix. Overall a great stay!

A very nice place to stay. The weather is pleasant due to the higher elevation. The B&B is spacious and the small staff are not obtrusive in any way. Their breakfast is also very good.If you need a place to stay while in the volcano area, give them a try.

Great location but the property needs a refresh. The bedding is quite old and has spots. No air conditioning although mostly it's cool out there. Soundproofing is pretty poor which is expected as it's quite an old property.

I have been reaching out for months to cancel our stay and they have yet been to reach out. They had no issues taking my deposit yet they can t seem to cancel a simple reservation. I m questioning these positive reviews after reading this. I realize it s locally owned small place but it s been over 2 months of emails, text and phone calls. Beware of this place!
