These guys were fantastic to work with. I just moved to the island this week and was looking for a vehicle because rental prices are ridiculous here on the island. I went and checked out a 2000 Ford Ranger. It was pretty beat up, but I just needed something cheap that runs.I test drove it, and the truck drove nice, so we worked something out and I bought it! Only thing is, 11 miles after my purchase, on my way home, the car shut off and wont restart.I called the guys and they felt so bad. They immediately called a tow truck, which was there in 10 minutes (bear in mind this was at 4 pm in RUSH HOUR!) The owner felt terrible and said they'd get it figured out (even though the vehicle was sold as is). In the meantime, the owner set me up with a loaner car, a 2004 toyato camry, and the next day they had fixed up the truck, replacing the mass air flow sensor. Now this baby is running solid and at no cost to me. These guys are the best, if your in the market for a used vehicle, definitely check them out.From what it sounds like, they had another owner who left, hence the other poor reviews, but I can tell from my experience that things have really changed. Just here to share my experience. Brought a 2002 Nissan Frontier about 10 months ago, and it instantly had problems. After driving it off the lot, I was told they would have their guys service it, I asked if I could come in on a certain day before noon and was told that was good and to call them when I got there. I did just that, and was told oh we re busy you can t just show up, come another day we planned for another day and the same thing happened, I didn t try again. The moment I bought the vehicle the battery terminals came loose while driving and I had to push my car to the nearest safe spot and tighten the terminals, luckily I had tools. About two months after that, I got stuck at Walmart because the starter went. Right after that I changed the breaks and Rotors and the pads on the break were dust. I was told the spark plugs were changed before I bought the vehicle, but right after changing the breaks, I was having issues related to spark plugs, so I changed all the plugs and wires, and it seemed like the ones that were easy to change were new but the hard to install ones were corroded and beyond dirty, obviously not having been changed in a very long time. And then right after that my alternator and alternator belt went on me while driving, again I had to push my vehicle to a safe spot and then was towed home. All and all, my experience was not great what so ever, and I m very disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the dealership after receiving my payment, and from the quality of the vehicle I purchased.

We purchased a Ford truck from this company. Everything looked great, they said there was absolutely NO issues with it. We drove it off the lot and immediately 24 hours later ALL the lights turned on. We contacted them the next few days and they didn t seem very surprised there was an issue with the truck. Their response was very unapologetic saying welp once you drive it off the lot it s yours, nothing we can do . We took it to a mechanic and he said the transmission was completely gone. He explained that they most likely did an override to the truck so none of the lights would pop up immediately but the very next day it did. We sold it within just a few weeks of having it and lost 5-6K. NEVER going back to this place again. Unethical, unapologetic and no aloha for the clients they serve. Take your money ELSEWHERE.

If you get a used car anywhere else, you are loco! C.J., Dave, and the "Growler" will make it happen, even if you have less than perfect credit.Their selection of used vehicles is stellar. The least expensive vehicle is still a roadworthy car.These Guys know the meaning of aloha... they care about their customers. From the moment you step on the lot to the time that you leave, the buying experience is fabulous. Throw in their great sense of humor and the buying experience is over the top!I was able to get the exact vehicle for under the price I expected. Amazing, in this day and age. They genuinely serve their customers with honesty. Can you imagine that???It is worth the short trip from Honolulu to visit these guys. Go and check it out!Tell them Kathleen and Lisa sent you!

My husband was looking for a good reliable commuter car. He wanted to purchase the car with a debit card (our bank is out of state and it's hard to get that much cash on hand) At first they told him they couldn't except card and wanted a wire transfer. When my husband informed them he would have to come back another day due to our bank being closed at the time, they were then fine with excepting our card.Well the car lasted a total of 3 days before the car overheated and broke down on the side of the road. We paid out of pocket for a tow back to their shop... We are now 3 days since that incident and have not heard from the dealership ship on the status of our vehicle. 1st call "no mechanic in shop today" second call "we'll have an update by 11" 3rd call "we'll have an update by 2" Now we are going into the weekend and don't have much hope that the problem will be solved over the weekend... They have our money and the car.. they have had the car in their shop longer then we have owned it... Shady stuff...

The dealer made my car buying experience like I would have never image buying a car. Not only did he pick me up from my house. I had my child with me and she fell asleep on the way back to the dealer. When we arrive she was still asleep and he told me to stay in the car because he didn t want to wake the child. Well he brought the loan documents to me! He was very kind, very courteous, and never pressured me to buying the vehicle. He even gave me a small warranty after purchasing the car AS-IS. Their pricing for vehicles is pretty fair and they will work with you as long as you (the buyer) is being reasonable in return! Henry is the man! Ask for him! I m sure the others are great too. But Henry has my business again if I m looking to something different in the years to come.

It was my first time buying a car, and I came to meet C.J. who was super nice and understanding. Like you get the feeling he really wants to help you out, so you know you're getting a good deal. There's also a state farm insurance right next door which is convenient if you're a first time buyer in need of insurance for your new car. Good prices and good quality despite being used cars. Overall an awesome experience, and would recommend anyone to check out their lot. Best of luck this new years 2020, thanks much!

Shady people shady business they have a smallerlot in Aiea where Phillip or "Phil" Is I got a car theengine light was on, was told the AC runs cold andthe same day after test drive I said the AC was notworking at all he said "His guy would fix it" and all"his guy" did was scan the car delete everythingthat popped up that was wrong and told meeverything was fixed because he put Refilled theAC, I couldn't stand it they kept saying there wasnothing wrong but the AC didn't even stay morethan two days I went to another shop and theysaid they can't start on the AC cuz the problemwas the compressor!!! That doesn't even go intothe TAGS I was promised was on its way andwould get two weeks later, I went back and I wastold I'd have to get them myself after 6 months!!!!!

I had literally the best experience of my entire life purchasing a vehicle here. The staff was friendly, honest and genuinely cared about my friend who was in need of a new vehicle to replace her broken down family van. The Shaka boys took great care of her and gave her a awesome deal. I will be a repeat customer and I cannot recommend this lot highly enough.Mahalo Nui Boyz!! You dabestest!!

I moved here from Mississippi I bought a 4 door Dodge truck paided cash and I've yet to have any problems with it. and I been pulling some big loads and put alot of mileage on it. I did do full service tuneup on motor and trans mobile mechanic went threw it says I got a good deal and who ever had it before hand had a big upgraded trans in it.i do nothing but ride all day only thing hurting my fiance's is the gas guzzling it does 9.5 mpg

If I could give zero stars I would. This dealership sold my brother a car a month ago and while selling said they would take care of the registration for the car since it was due this month. Now, some guy is calling us saying that we need to pay for the registration even though the guy who sold it to us said we didn't have to. If we knew we would have to pay for it so soon we wouldn't have bought the car in the first place. During this call the man hung up the phone in the middle of the conversation. Very unprofessional.

Guys were willing to have me run them around their lot a few times over trying to meet my standards for a car that I can safely drive my three kids in. After six hours on two different daya, five test drives, we finally got the car we wanted and needed. Guys were willing to work with payments too.

This year has been one of the most roughest years of all! I was unemployed due to being at high risk of pre term labor... My other half was the only one employed taking care of me and our four kids at the time. Back in June at the age of 28 my boyfriend had a stroke! He was in icu for a month and took an extra month to recover. It was really stressful for both me n him. I gave birth in September. Keep in mind that we only had one car which is a Lexus ls400. We were driving around unsafe... But then I came across this dealership. From the first day I walk onto their lot til today... I have experienced nothing but an outstanding customer service! They make me feel like I'm family... They made sure that we got a car that would fit my family comfortably and was safe n reliable for us to own! Thanks Shaka boyz... You folks answered our prayers!

Did a straight trade in. Got an older car but was very clean. Expected it to last 6 months tops. Over a year now and not an issue. Great guys too. No B.S sales tactics.

I have purchased 2 autos from Shaka Boyz and had a great experience with both. They helped me get an even higher credit score and I referred 2 friends and got $100 off my notes each time. I just paid off my current auto and we want 2 purchase a truck for a second auto and have been looking at the website for one we like ( hope my salesman is reading this cause he will do everything he can to get me what I want.) obviously whoever is writing good reviews about his dealer is the dealership itself lolwent to check for a acura suv for my girl, the 2004 Acura MDX Touring - $8,995 VIN:2HNYD18614H553208 which according to kbb and nada is for an excellent condition suv price. when I got there I noticed the following: front bumper is dented really bad, both front tires are literally gone you can see the metal webbing already, running boards are broken, trash inside the suv, then I opened the trunk and wow big rust on the roof top......salesman didn't even try....after I showed him all these all he said was: "it still runs good though"....really???

We buy a Toyota solora from them one week N the car is acting weird is always over heated n da gas cage is broken we have to put gas everyday coz is always empty.i call them to towing da car coz is not working but no one show up.they always lies to da customers they not royal to customers they unprofessional.they don't care about da customers all they care is da money.me n my husband have to fix da car with our own money.if u ever want to buy car don't go there they sell broken car.plu they make da customers wait.they don't care about the safe of people.i a waste of money if u buy car form them.

SHAKA DEALER SHIP IS FRAUD. WE GOT A CAR FROM THEM AND WE HAD PROBLEM WITH IT AND TOOK IT BACK TO THEM TO FIX IT. BUT THE HEAD CASKET BLEW. IT WAS THE FIRST PROBLEM THEY SAID THEY FIX IT BUT THEY DIDNT THEY LIED. SO NOW THE BANK WANTS TO GET ON US FOR PAYMENTS FOR THE VEHICLE THAT SHAKA HAS. SO WE WENT TO GO AND SEE IF WE CAN GET THE CAR BACK SINCE WE STILL HAVE TO MAKE PAYMENT THEY SAID THE BANK TOOK IT. THE BANK SAID THEY DIDNT TAKE IT. SO SHAKA FIXED MY CAR AND SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE. DONT TRUST THEM THEY ARE FRAUD. THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT THEY DONT. SO BECAREFUL WITH THEM
