The customer service I experienced was outstanding, and I have no complaints in that regard. They demonstrate a commitment to creating job opportunities and offer discounts for timely visits. If you're seeking to rejuvenate your vehicle's appearance, particularly if the clear coat has been affected by the harsh Hawaiian sun, this is the ideal destination.Naturally, there is a noticeable orange peel texture after the paint job, which aligns with the expectations for an affordable paint job. They assured me that my car would be ready in 8 days, and they kept their promise.However, there are a couple of concerns I'd like to address, which is why I'm giving this review 3 stars:1. I made multiple requests for progress pictures of my car to ensure that the work was proceeding as promised, but regrettably, I never received any. When I visited their location to pick up my car, there were no photos of my vehicle on their company phone, despite them having numerous progress pictures of other cars.2. Although I was told that additional sanding would be done to address the heavy chipping on my car, it appears that they simply painted over it. This is particularly disappointing given that the invoice clearly stated that "Extra sanding required for Heavy Chipping." It's challenging to capture this flaw in a photograph, but it's noticeable upon close inspection.In conclusion, I'm satisfied with the paint job I received, but I would have appreciated having access to progress pictures to verify if the necessary sanding was indeed performed.Service: Painting

I went in with a rusted top and clear coat damage on my truck, the G.M. Allen Wallace offered me a great packaged deal that I couldn t turn down. Allen and his team did an amazing job on my 1968 Shelby! The attention to detail and customer service was outstanding. The paint job was performed and fine tuned till it was show quality. The price did not match the great results I recived, will definitely return!

Ryan and his team at Maaco fixed my rust and chipped body dings on my 2009 Nissan Frontier. They removed the front and rear windshield and repaired what ever rust and dings that needed to be removed. They repainted the whole truck and delivered it to my residence. I am very happy with their professionalismand very pleased with their customer service attitude. I would give them a positive recommendation.

Ryan, Tehani and the team were incredible. Quote process was simple, clearly communicated. They ordered an OEM bumper and painted it based on the paint code. I elected to remove the old and install the new myself. They had my new, painted bumper to me in less than a week. The paint match is perfect even though they didn't have the car. They were clear and informative about the process chosen to paint our car and good at updating us with new info received and let us know what options there were for us to decide on. The job looks great and completed within the time frame quoted. Our 2013 Rogue looks so refreshed and shiny.

Maaco met all of my expectation, but there were surprises. I have an old (2006) Tacoma with badly peeled clear coat on hood and cabin. Also had 2 minor areas to repair.I chose Maaco because I accepted it would not be a like-new finish, but rather a way to maintain my truck and mitigate rusting. They delivered on that. However, the overall finish is different . It is a nice high-gloss black with metallic finish, but the under layer is not smooth. It s more of a fractal noisy texture. It is mostly noticeable up close and it is consistent throughout rather than a patch.In short, Maaco provides a lot of value at a very reasonable price point. If you have a car that is your baby, you might want to hit the high end shops.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

This was my third vehicle I brought for MAACO to repaint. To do the job right, it would require them to get down to the bare metal. When i saw the new finish on my truck i was very happy. But what really resonated with me was how proud they were to show me what they did. When you do your best work, you are proud to show it off. There was another finished truck parked next to mine. And it was beautiful as well. You can tell this was their standard quality. Mahalo MAACO For doing quality work for a great price!

I was really hoping I didn't have to write a bad review but was left no choice as they are no longer answering the phones or emails. I brought my minivan in for a paint job in December. When I received my car back the paint job left something to be desired. Numerous smudges in the paint that were obvious even as I picked up the car in the rain. I showed the person all the problems and she advised me that I would have to come back in 30 days when the paint cures to have the spots fixed. It was very frustrating as we had already left the car there for over a week and now I have to come back in a month and lose the car for a few more days so that they can fix the errors. When I get my van back after the 2nd time bringing it to them in February, I noticed my car antenna was missing. Mark at Maaco looks at old pictures and verifies that it was there when I dropped off the car. I was told that they can't find the antenna and that they will order me a new one. I have followed up with them multiple times and I get excuses from we need to check with Alan if we can order a new one, to Kaylie is no longer with us and was supposed to order it. Now the newest excuse is that they mailed it last Wednesday? It's now the following Thursday and I haven't gotten it. I finally get through after several attempts and getting sent to voicemail, I was told it was sent back to them because of an error in the address. I decided to then drive over and pick up the antenna. When I try to install it, it doesn't fit. I was told by Mark that he would order another one and make sure it fits. After a couple days I decided to call to follow up to make sure it was ordered. I am then told by Mark, that his boss Alan told him that I can order it and then will reimburse me. Why I have to order it is ridiculous and two why didn't he call me to let me know? Obviously they are hoping that I will just go away. I ordered it and sent the receipt to Mark and of course I am getting no response back and have not received a check as they said they would do.I was trying to be understanding, but this is ridiculous. 4 months of disappointment from the group at Maaco by not doing the right thing. I have been very patient and given you more than enough time to fix your errors. If this review helps stop at least one person from using your company, than it was worth my time leaving this review.

My trucks hood and roof was heavily oxidized and really ugly looking! Maaco took care of that and now the truck looks great again! Not only did they take care of that but the truck was completely detailed inside and out and made it look like it was brand new! Thanks again to the manager and his team for a great job and I would highly recommend anyone who s looking to get their vehicle painted to go to Maaco! Thank you!Service: Painting

In a day and age where customer service seems to have died, MAACO Auto Body goes above and beyond to make the customer experience positive. After being put in an awkward position with an accident that was another driver s fault, Mark & Ryan helped me to pick up the pieces and got me everything I needed to square things away with the other party. They took extra time to help me despite a pretty unorthodox scenario. Thank you so much, gentlemen!

I went in with little to no expectations and I must say ..I AM ECSTATIC . From the warm consultation with Tehani to going over what to expect with the process to picking up my vehicle within just days! I couldn t have asked for more..I was shopping around for a bit being a car guy for something somewhat affordable but not out of reach since this project was something I didn t want to invest too much into and decided to bring my car in that needed a complete paint job all around and some body work. I told them I had somewhat of a timeline and they seemed very confident that they can produce and brah did they exceed! Just go in with an open mind, have realistic expectations and have patience and you won t be disappointed. With the price and quality that I got for my needs I am 3000% happy that I made this choice.I would ve still felt the same way even if they took a little longer because I understand it s a business. Shout out to Iz and the boys for their aloha spirit and all the little things they did in between. Thank you MAACO Hawaii!! Keep doing what you do Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Its true.. you pay for good services. Iwanted to get it done sooner than later so didnt spend the time to shop around. If you are going to keep your vehicle have it painted the same original color so you can buy touch up paint from the dealer.

I bought my truck from someone who took it to Maaco's. The receipt on the paint job says $2,500.. I had this truck for 4 years and when i bought the truck the previous owner said the paint job is 2 years old so i assume the paint job is now 6 years old. The paint is pealing literally everywhere, the truck looks nice from far but you can see all the flaws of the paint job up close. I wish the previous owner prepped it before painting. Literally devalued the truck by painting here. They tape and mask everything and paint right over it. If you want a good quality paint job go to a high-end auto body paint shop not Maaco's

At first Maaco seemed to be the best option. Came in with the best bid. But then when the work started they called and said it was going to cost an extra thousand dollars due to unforseen issues. No. The issues were not unforseen. Any lay person could see that there was no hidden problem. I complained and she accepted that it was her mistake in the estimate process. Yet they still demanded more. They agreed to accept $675 - still a nasty surprise for something that was not "unforseen". The door closes with a clank too. Not happy.

I got my Porsche painted at Maaco and we re not very happy with the outcome. There s a lot of flaws and bubbles on some areas and they broke the emblem of my car. I went back the next day and the general manager name Allan was very very rude to us. He said they re not responsible for the broken emblem because it s old. We can easily buy a new one. I told him they should buy me a new one because they broke the emblem and he said no. He was very arrogant and when we mentioned the bubbles he also said it s because they just repainted whatever that was there. Customer service is really bad and I ll NEVER ever get anything done by Maaco at pearl city hawaii. I will not recommend it to anyone!!!!! In fact I should ask for a refund because they didn t do a good job!!!!Service: Painting

LOVE my MAACOver! My ride lookin hella CLEAN !! Don't listen to the haters. Whatever your budget, they will work with you and deliver. I went shopping around for prices first and all were way over my budget. Then I came here and the owner, Ryan, hooked me up with a total car makeover (new paint color, removal of rust and all my dings and dents)for a fraction of the price I was quoted to get just the hood and roof painted at other places. Ryan and his team are professionals that work hard to achieve exceptional results! I 100% recommend these guys! #happycustomer #fromSOCCERmomtoHOTmama LOL

We got our Porsche painted and we re not happy how it s done. There are bubbles on some areas they broke the emblem they took out and put the roof rack in a wrong place. We went to see the general manager name Allan and he s the meanest rudest man I ve met. Not friendly at all and the way he spoke to us was really not nice at all. He s the general manager at pearl city Maaco!!!! Never will I go back to that company.Service: Painting

....These guys (& gorgeous lady), are absolutely AWESOME! ...They deserve 10 STARS!!!....Had all my babies painted there.(Can't beat the Certified MAACO Guarantee).My only wish is they had another shop in HONOLULU.But...they're DEFINITELY worth the drive!

I was very pleased that Alan, the MAACO manager I had my van serviced at in Honolulu was hands-on, involved in fixing and painting my vehicle to make sure it would be done professionally, resulting in a high-quality esthetically pleasing outcome...as I transport passengers it is essential to get the rust repairs plus the painting right...it has to look attractive, clean and elegant... Maaco is hands down the best on the island for getting the job done and meeting the needs of the customer. I took my 2010 Honda Pilot in to get some dings removed and a paint job and I was blown away by the work. The body work was well done and the paint job was outstanding. We even got the paint color changed from the base gray to a deep midnight blue and it loos great! Its funny how the new outside of the vehicle put to shame the interior. My wife is happy and we all know the saying happy wife happy life! The team at Maaco will take care of you and get you the finished vehicle your looking to get. I would highly recommend these guys!

I had heard several negative comments about MAACO, so I was really nervous about bringing my car there for painting. How wrong I was!!! That did a great job repainting my car. They went over all the pros and cons with each of their specials. They kept me posted with the status of the work being done, and displayed pride with how the car looked when work was completed. Overall, I was very pleased with what I paid for. Thank you MAACO.

Had a dent in rear quarter panel on my Chevy Tahoe. Tehani was my Estimator and was very friendly, professional and efficient. Took it in on Monday, and got it back the following Monday. Pretty quick turn around considering they are short handed. The price was in line with other shops I checked.Only two complaints: I noticed later that the area on the quarter panel that is behind the bumper did not get finished. It was sprayed, but apparently it did not get buffed out before they replaced the bumper. Not sure how this happened but obviously they should ve left it out first before putting the bumper back on the vehicle. It s only visible if you look for it, so I don t think it is worth taking it back and leaving it for several more days for them to remove the bumper and buff out that, but something to take note of.The other issue is that during the repair, they apparently left the rear liftgate open so lots of shop dust was allowed to blow into the vehicle during that time and settle in the trunk area, and frankly throughout the vehicle. Our interior is a very light tan color, so it wasn t immediately evident. Not a huge issue but something that should be noted for future customers. They could have masked off the opening for the liftgate during the repair to prevent this.Overall, based on price, schedule, quality and customer service I would rate them 3.5 stars, but rounded up for benefit of the doubt.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Workmanship was as expected and I have no issue with that.Customer Service needs to be improved.Communication with me was confusing and conflicting at best.When I took my car in 4/14/2023 I was quoted 7-10 daysOn the 9th day 4/20/2023 I get a call telling me that the car is being masked and prepped for painting. I ask when will it be ready for pick up as I need to take leave from work and I am told it will be done 4/28/2023. On 4/25/2023 I was called and told my car will not be ready by 4/28/2023. I am told it is because it did not pass the QC and will needTo be painted again.In the meantime I already filed leave.In speaking with the manager and explaining to him that I took leave to pick up the car he states that he will deliver the car to my home on Monday 5/8/2023 between 12-1pm. On Monday I get a call that he can not bring the car to me because someone call in sick.Let s understand MACO has had the car for 4 weeks now and I am getting frustrated and decide to pick up the car myself.When I get there the manager is out running an errand and I met with the admin person. We do a walk around of the vehicle and I have no issues with the workmanship.Upon getting home I notice something sticking on my review mirror. It s my state safety check sticker. When I call the shop they tell me to come back and they will double back tape it back on.I live on the other side of the island. My frustration is why wasn t this brought up during my out processing before I left the shop and the person in the phone told me to drive with it inside my car which is illegal in the state if Hawaii, she gave me a feeling of it is what it is and to deal with it. I asked for the manager to call me.Upon receiving his call I ask about my safety check and I am told that the usually offer a metal plate to put the safety check back I told him I was out offered that option and if I was I would have easily paid the $40-50 to get it considering I paid $2400 to paint the car.Also I asked why is there no check list that covers the out processing so anyone can do it and all the requirements are covered.The manger was apologetic and he has given me a free Ceramic Coating at MACO.Bottom line is the customer service needs to be improved so no one else needs to go through what I did.Service: Painting

This is the worst service I ve ever gotten. My car was vandalized on the street and I went through Maaco to repare the body and replace the tires of my car. They stated that the window on the drivers side needed to be replaced as well due to a scratch. They tried to replace it and my window a month later caved into itself. When I tried to go to Maaco to fix the window, they tried to blame my dealership for the issue even though all the dealership did was help me pin it up after it fell. I went back and forth with them. Every time they worked on my car they left it dirty when I came to pick it up. They stated that they would fix my window and not charge labor but when I got the bill for the part later I saw that they charged me over $130 the price that they paid for the part. Even after fixing the window and charging me, my window stopped working the next day. When I went back to speak with a manager they stated that they would not give me a refund as I had the new part. They finally refunded me the $100 but didn t refund everything even though they didn t fix my window. Later an employee admitted that they don t know how to replace windows and that they had to look on YouTube. So unprofessional. I would not recommend going to them.
