My wife and I probably looked at two dozen other properties on Kaua i before settling on Kaha Lani 310 via VRBO. We were overwhelmingly pleased with our decision! This property was just the right size for the two of us, with 1.5 baths so we could both get ready for the day at the same time. The condo complex was quiet and far enough from the highway where we couldn t hear any traffic noise. The third-floor location meant there was no one above us. It has a lovely view of the ocean, and the windows let the cool breeze flows through the entire condo. The pool is the perfect temperature. There was plenty of parking available when we were there (March), and a parking pass for the complex was left in the condo. This is in a great location near the airport (but not so close you can hear planes taking off), with equal drive-time access to the north and south shores. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby in Kapa a. Lydgate Park Pools is mile to the north; the ocean is enclosed behind a rock barrier, perfect for inexperienced snorkelers and families with small children. Wailua Golf Course is immediately to the south, if you want easy access to golfing.I can t say enough good things about the property management. There are thoughtful touches throughout the condo, including beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels. Late checkout was available for a reasonable upcharge. We loved our one-week stay, and we ll definitely rebook Kaha Lani 310 the next time we come to Kaua i!

We LOVED it here. Amazing location. Beautiful, well kept property. Chickens and chicks all over the place which we really enjoyed. We had a big apartment with a fantastic balcony overlooking the grounds, pool, and ocean. The furniture was a bit dated bit we didn't mind that. One thing we didn't like was that the sofa and chairs next to it smelled like someone with bad BO lounged in them all day. The rest was fantastic. Highly recommended. (Yes the roosters will wake you up at 6am or so but we didn't mind that at all since it got us out of bed early to enjoy the day)

This place is not a resort. It's not even a hotel. These are privately owned apartments with a swimming pool. The reception office is where you pick up and drop off your key that's in an envelope along with a list of things that you're not allowed to do. They do not offer anything at all.My apartment had an ironing board but no iron and when I contacted reception they basically said: "if the owner didn't leave one behind then you're out of luck". So much for that, had to wear wrinkled clothes for my entire stay. You have to pay a $295 cleaning fee upfront but God forbid leave any trash behind, you have to haul your trash with you when you leave. No one will ever come and refresh the apartment during your stay. There is no AC. Appliances are rusty. The beach is littered with dead wood. Needles to say, this was not a relaxing stay at all.

We stayed at Kaha Lani the week of Dec 1st. This was a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom ocean view condo. The property was about 10 mins from the airport making it super convenient. The property grounds are beautiful and you are right on the beach.Just a heads up bring ear plugs or noise canceling headsets. The roosters are up early and crowing at 3-4am.The condo was spacious for our group and it was clean. The condo itself was a little outdated. However, you do have everything you may need such as a coffee maker, hair dryer, pots and pans ect.. The beds were a little hard but the sheets were clean. There is no air conditioning in these units. The ocean breeze was great at night so you really didn t need it. Not sure about how it may be in the summer months. Parking was ample and the staff on the property were helpful and friendly. They provided a late check out option for us which was great as our flight was not leaving until 9pm.The pool area was clean but the pool did not feel heated.Overall, I would return here it is a great value for a condo on the beach. We were so busy venturing out in Kauai that we really only used the condo to shower and sleep.I would recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly beach condo with no frills.Nearby activities: Lydgate beach is a short walkSafety: There is security/ Steve was very knowledgeable and courteousWalkability: Beach frontFood & drinks: Grocery store is 5 mins away

This is not a resort but think of it as an Airbnb. Apartments are old with no air conditioners. The switches might even have electric leakage. But it has an amazing view with a reasonable price.

The rooms we had were outdated but we enjoyed our oceanfront view. There is a 312 dollar cleaning fee that you pay upon arrival. The rooms we had were equipped had a small kitchen, sofa, chaise lounge chair (which my small child enjoyed sleeping on) and a full size bed. 1.5 bath. Front office is open from 8am-4pm and I had a pleasant experience with the staff. Would consider staying here again.Walkability: Can walk to the coconut shopping center (about 1.5 miles) along the side walk. Great food and shaved ice located there among other shops.

After checking in we went to the room to discover that the sofa with the pull out bed smelled like urine. The smell was so strong that one of my children could not even be in the room. The possible solution given to me by the wonderful lady at the front desk and Castle resorts and hotels(according to her) was to either move a cot into the room (with no possibility of moving the sofa that smelled of urine out of the room), or return the cleaning fee and find somewhere else to stay. So at 6pm at night I had to find a new place for my family to stay. The location of this place is great, but there is a minimum standard of how you should treat people and resolve situations, and this place was not even close to coming to that minimum. Hopefully this review helps someone avoid a nightmare situation on a dream vacation.

Our stay was amazing. We were in 101. They have done well to update and keep it up, but you have to expect things won't be perfect when You are that close to the ocean. The salt makes things rust and fall apart so fast. Our room was amazing though. It had all the pots and pans, plates, and cups We needed. Obviously, it wasn't as stocked as our home, but if you aren't the type of person to go on vacation and cook, then this isn't the place for you. The meals we cooked on the BBQ by the pool were great, and we had everything we needed to make due and cook some great meals. We are very independent people and weren't looking for anyone to wait on us, and that is exactly what we got. We usually left by 9 and didn't return until 6, we left our doors open and unlocked, and everything was safe. It was a beautiful, VERY well maintained condo that we won't hesitate to return to. This has been our favorite vacation spot so far.

Kaha Lani Resort is in a great location right on a very walkable, long beach. Sunrises are awesome over the water. The staff was very nice and helpful. The grounds are very well kept, the pool is a good size with lots of lounge chairs, as well as some tables. There are two nice Weber grills that are very well maintained, we grilled dinner couple times while we were there. And we need to talk about the (insert curse word) chickens. Kauai is known for lots of chickens, this area is no different. I don't mind watching them run around during the day, fun to see the little ones, and don't mind the roosters crowing off and on, even at sunrise would be fine - as is in their job description. But there were chickens crowing at all hours - like as early as 3:00 AM. I don't know that the resort can do much about that, as they are all over the island, and I'm sure are at the other resorts. Just something to be aware of. Specifically for unit 112, it was first floor, with a good view of the water, between two other buildings. The photos for the unit were accurate. Being on the ground floor and where the unit was located, people were walking across the lawn right past the back patio. Not a huge deal, the people were nice, but not a lot of privacy. There were people in the unit above us and when they were walking it was very obvious, I don't think they were necessarily walking heavy, just some thin floors. All could be solved by getting a top floor unit. The unit we had could have been better maintained - although it was cleaned well. There was a leaky faucet, rust on some of the switch cover screws, rusty light fixtures, many of the window blinds didn't work properly. I know the sea air can lead to that, but a few hundred $ would spruce it up nicely so you don't notice those obvious things and are then on the lookout for others. The unit had utensils, dinnerware, pots and pans, but no cooking oil, and just salt/pepper for spices. We've stayed in many other places like this that had some of the minimum things for cooking, obviously we don't expect food to be left, understanding there may be weeks when it isn't occupied. but items such as cooking oil or spray could be sealed. Again, something to be aware of when you do your shopping. Maybe check the unit first in case the last people left some - which we did :-) . We wouldn't hesitate to rent at Kaha Lani again, just not this unit.

The unit, #127, had a great view. Our unit had carpeting which considering the humidity, was probably not a great choice. The grounds are well kept. However, for lite sleepers or people who want to sleep in, be aware that roosters will crow loudly before sunrise. We had no problem, but visitors should be aware. The management nickels and dimes guests. Our unit did not have a washer.dryer and for six bucks a load we used communal machines. Supplies for the condo were barely sufficient and additional basic supplies needed to be bought on your own. The pool is small and very crowded but the beach was very nice.

Very nice ground level waterfront condo. You do need to keep the screen door closed to prevent the famous Kawaii chickens from walking right in and their crowing can be a bit annoying! The unit we had could use some updating. A quieter bath fan and soft closing cabinets would be a plus. Otherwise, the complex is very well kept. When we arrived, the General Manager greeted us and was very cordial. Our unit had the slatted windows open and the fans on! We had a very comfortable time.

Kaha Lani means heaven on earth and it most definitely lived up to its name. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we were so pleased with our accommodations. We stayed in room 105.Our room was beautiful and very clean. Nice kitchen and appliances, updated decor, although this room could use a new coffee maker and a good chefs knife. The knives were old and dull which made cutting some of the local fruit difficult but not a big deal. Every thing else was amazing! I was a bit concerned about the property not having air conditioning because I overheat fairly easily but it was not an issue as the trade winds blow in and cool everything down quite nicely. Really appreciated the peace and quiet without AC units whirring we could hear the ocean from our bedroom. The views are breath taking and a walk down to the beach where it s incredibly private and quiet was the perfect beginning or ending to every day. It was also nice to walk the bike path down to Lydgate state park. Still wishing we were waking up here. Hope to come again soon.

Quiet resort right next to the ocean. The sand is super soft compared to a few other beaches nearby. Close to the airport. Our condo unit 101 is updated with modern beach furnishings. Super clean and cute.Love it here!

The fact that this place doesn't have air conditioning turned out to be a real problem. We had to leave the windows open at night, but the storms, wild chickens, and feral cats made so much noise that we never really got a good nights rest. The beach is nice, but everything else is self service. Next time, we will find somewhere else to stay.

Absolutely gorgeous view, and very peaceful. My only complaint is with the staff here. You only receive 2 trash can liners, 1 small paper towel, 3 dishwasher pods, 1 kitchen hand and wash cloth. When I asked for more, I was told that I needed to bring my dirty one back to swap for a clean one. For what I paid to stay here I at least deserve 1 weeks worth of supplies.

The resort is clean and very well appointed. The pool is wonderful though the heater was broken for our entire stay so that wasn t great. Our suite was not air conditioned so to keep cool we had to keep the windows open and fans going. The BIG problem with that is that in the back bedroom you can hear the traffic on the Kappa road literally all night AND the roosters who crow anytime all the time all day and night. Also we shared the two bedroom with our sister and husband who took the Oceanside bedroom. That left us with a TINY bedroom with twin beds, a TINY bathroom with a very old shower and no balcony or ocean view. We complied so as not to make waves but if we had known ahead we would have shared the costs more equitably or taken our own suite. Lastly while the staff are efficient they aren t exactly warm Hawaiian style . More plus s: tennis courts, pool noodles, a nice beach for walks (not for swimming) and very central location.

Review of Kaha Lani #222 (managed by Remax - not caste resorts)Good:+ very close to beach that is usually empty. We enjoyed morning walks with hardly anyone.+ Nice king sized bed with comfy mattress+ Well furnished kitchen and living room+ Nice TV+ Boogie boards, noodle, beach chairs, a pair of snorkel fins are in the chest outside.Bad:- no beach chairs- no high table/chairs in balcony- no picnic cooler- multiple and conflicting check in and checkout instructions- washer in unit is broken- no A/C- 1st bathroom shower is tiny- 2nd bathroom not in good shape! Water is slow to drain from tub- we were not told we were supposed to put a parking permit in car until we received tow notice from resort.

There is no AC. They are doing construction on the unit next to us so right at 8am they start and its so loud. Wanted to enjoy a quit relaxing vacation but even sittng on the balcony you get a bunch of dust. And there are lots of chickens so they are waking you up at 1:30am. Coffee isn't even included when I asked the front desk for more we were told since its more condo style we had to go to the store. This isn't a resort it's more like an air bnb which even those usually supply coffee. Which I have nothing against that but didnt know that's what it was. Also was really dusty. They did have lots of games, puzzles and movies. I wouldn't come back.

I have never stayed at such a disgusting condo. There is no AC. There were ants and bugs in there. My son woke up with a huge spider bite on his neck. The bed skirts have mold on them. The TP holder has green stuff growing on it. The lamp shades are rusty. The only positive is that the view toward the beach is gorgeous. There is a homeless camp set up in the woods next to these condos. Beware!

This is a great place! They go the extra mile to provide a nice place. I really enjoy it!Two things to know:1: No AC - not that you'll need it. It's not very hot, and the breeze keeps things comfy (and there are plenty of fans).2: it's not nearby anything, so either get a car rental or bring food. There aren't any restaurants in walking distance, but lots within a few minutes drive.Try to get a ground floor unit. Your patio will open up to the pool!Oh, if checking in after hours, call ahead! Very important!!
