Raf has been the most honest mechanic I ve run into in Hawaii. If you re looking for a family owned, non-commercialized shop where mechanics don t get commission based on parts they order/sell you, you ve found the place! I ve used Raf s before and they were always good to me. Had them repair some leaks on my vehicle as well as perform some coolant repairs. Great company and priced better than a dealership. Also very nice turn around time.

I tried rafs automotive because my gears was slipping and I have to say best decision made. They serviced my car very fast and the price was more affordable than most places. One thing I appreciated was how professional and honest they were. Highly recommend!!

Would highly highly recommend Raf's. My wife and I were trying to decide if we fix an older car of ours that we love. They gave us a really honest assessment and made us feel confident in our decision. My wife first took the car in and never felt pressured or disrespected. I'll continue coming back for all car needs. Mahalo.

Took 2018 Nissan here in April and Ralph said that it was the mass flow sensor cost about $800 to replace. A few weeks ago the car s only would go 5 mph spent $500 towing it to Ralph s because the code was the same for the mass flow sensor. Ralph replace the mass flow sensor again in the car still would not go but 5mph. Ralph said I need to take it to the Nissan place so another $200 into it and fees. $1500 dealing with Raf and he did not fix my car. Nissan replaced the transmission so it may have been that all along. But I took it to Raf thinking he is a mechanic and my car light is on he should be able to fix it. Raf said sometimes the newer electronic cars he can not fix. I wish he said that $1500 ago. I just want my money back because he did not complete the service.

Took my 2014 frontier in for an alignment, Raf found some other concerns and fixed it. He did a great job. My truck is running smooth.Thank you Raf's Automotive.

I've brought my car here a few times and have yet to be disappointed. Raf fixes what he says he's going to fix and the prices are fair. I've always been able to drop my car off one day and pick it up the next. Guys I've dealt with in the office are friendly and happy to answer questions.

Came here on a Thursday because my harmonic balancer had started to wobble and Raf was awesome! he was able to fit my car in same day for repairs and it was fixed by the afternoon. Super nice guy and very professional

I loved that I was able to get a same day appointment for an oil change. Although they never answered their phone for my initial call, they answered it when I called them back after dropping off my car. They gave me good estimates on other repairs that needed to be done, but didn't pressure me to get it done with them when I told them my husband would do the work. Very nice mechanics.

Wow, just an honest mechanic/shop. I've worked on cars all my life and consider myself a very good mechanic as well. Moved here 2 yrs ago with no tools and company pays for vehicle service, so no need to DIY. No attempts at B.S., just straight up about what needs to be done. Also witnessed interaction with a female customer and was impressed with the courtesy and honesty with her. Great job guys.

I am not going to lie, I gave Raf's a 5 star in the past because I was treated well and fairly. However, I towed my vehicle to Raf's recently because my car was overheating. One of the mechanics who works there informed me that the radiator needed to be changed and it would cost me $1800 for labor and parts. I found a repair shop in Waipahu called Caesars who did the same job for $720. Labor at Raf's was estimated to be $890 but the Waipahu shops labor that did the same job was $300. The cost of the parts for the job was almost double also on the quote. Whatever the case, thank goodness we shoped around because obviously we would have overpaid tremendously.

Based on the reviews, i tried this place and Raf (owner) was very welcoming. Went there for a second opinion on a misfire and he done all the test to make sure the dealership won't tell me otherwise. Completed the test in an hour or so which was great but bad news for me that i may have to open up the engine. I would have had him do the job besides the dealership which he recommended since he doesnt do that kind of service.

Took our car to Rafs for the first time and they fixed it up right, however the next day I noticed it was leaking fluid. Took it back to them and was told it was power steering fluid and a $2,100 fix. I explained that it was not leaking before I brought it in and now magically it s leaking. I got no real explanation for it. Anyways I did not get it fixed there, instead bought a $10 bottle of Lukas power steering stop leak and boom it s fixed. Been about 2 months and no leak. I don t trust them so won t be going back.

Excellent service. I walked in for a change oil and told Raf that I needed to be out before an hour because I have a doctor's appointment, and change oil was done within 45 minutes. Considering it was lunch time and it was raining... it would have been impossible to get my request granted if I went to others.

Rafs is such a great place to get your car worked on. I feel like he is honest and not trying to up sale me at all. He fixes what you need and warranties his work. I told my son to take his car there because of an airbag issue. He looked at his car checked it all out. He said that he couldn t do the work but told him where to get it done and how to order the part cheaper and never charges him a penny to do this. There are not many businesses left like this. Mahalo to Rafs!!!!!

Very quick service for a full synthetic oil change. Very friendly and offered good advice for where to go for safety inspections. We are bringing my husband's truck there today to help with some issues he has been having. Thanks Raf!

I have a classic ol' Toyota Supra, that many folks now regard as one of the finest early sports car lines. Raf has helped me maintain my Supra, when others would have just wanted to "junk" it.I can say with confidence that it is running very well today, and Raf is the major contributor to its mechanical health!His prices are very competitive, beating other shops significantly, and repair results are always excellent and timely.

Great, honest mechanic with a great crew. I was able to take my car in with short notice and get it repaired the same day for a radiator replacement. No bs at all I completely recommend it.

Used to be one of the best shops I've ever been to, but the last time I made an appointment, they charged me almost 100$ to tell me that my check engine light was on but they didn't know why (why I brought my car in, so I could pass safety). The guy at the desk was dismissive and nonspecific about the code, like he didn't know what the code meant. A 5 second Google search clearly says what the code is though. Smh.I told them in the beginning why the check engine light was on, as I had read the code myself. I needed help fixing it, not charging me to tell me what I already knew!Maybe they just had a busy day.

I usually do all my own repairs. If I don t have the time to do it or I m in a bind, I can always count on Raf. I live in Punahou but don t mind the drive because I know Raf will take good care of me.

RAF'S DOES NOT DO SAFETY CHECKS. Don't drive out there. They tried to get their name taken off but Google has not removed them.

Needed a mirror replaced on my Mustang. Raf's found the exact match and effected the repair in a timely manner. i wold definitely use them again.

Awesome, quick service! Went there for an oil change, was told it should take about an hour and was out of there in less than that time. They're super busy, too. Constant stream of customers coming and going
