Extremely disatisfied... Had to get all four tires replaced on a friends vehicle, made an appointment online, but it got rescheduled. Made a new one for the next day, but was told that we weren't expected, so an appointment was made for the next day. When we went in, the gentleman at the desk was not expecting us, but took the vehicle. Less than an hour later I get a call stating that the vehicle would have to stay overnight as they started work, were understaffed, and did not have the tires that were previously stated to be in stock. I had to then drive my friend back to their place of work, which made me late for mine. Upon recieving the vehicle, the gentleman at the counter was very patronizing about the vehicle's maintenance. Likewise, only recieved a $30 refund for the failures of the shop. If you have any respect for your vehicle, go anywhere else, otherwise you might actually enjoy Jiffy Lube 2.0

I've been coming to Firestone for all my car needs since I moved to the island 3 years ago. They have an excellent team that cares about their customers. I would recommend Firestone to anyone looking for auto care.

Mr Richard and his crew is always helpful! They always listen to my concerns and address them. If I ask them to check out something when I take my car for service they do and never question me as if I don t know what I m talking about; which is why I take my car there instead of the Nissan place where purchased since the gentlemen in there never make me feel like she s just another lady not knowing what she s talking about and will check everything I have concerns. Also, I didn t get lady name that was there this past weekend but she was extremely nice and polite too.

Surprise, surprise. Another unsatisfactory visit to Firestone. I have used Firestone a few times for jobs such as inspections and tire changes. Every time, I have an unsurprisingly subpar experience. They have replaced the wrong tires (costing me extra money), moved appointment dates without informing me, and I get contrasting information from different people at the counter. The new management has made my experiences a little better, but there is still plenty to be desired. I will not be going back again. @FIRESTONE, please don't respond with your generic apology message. Staff did not make the experience right when talking to them, so I wouldn't expect you to either.

Would honestly never go back here, each time I came to this Firestone, the clerks are rude as hell and act like they don t want to be at work. Recently I went for a safety inspection and came back 2-3 hours later once it was done and I received a failure for things that I haven t got failed the previous year for. Also, i somehow received a failure for one of my side markers lights being out and as soon as I was going to replace it I unscrewed the section and it was unplugged, so I plugged it back in and it worked perfectly fine .I don t want to make any assumptions but everything I heard from people around base is that they overcharge and find ways to get money out of you. I would rate this 0 stars if I could.

Set an appointment for today for a few issues on the car that they said required a full days worth of work and to drop it off early in the morning to get started. Dropped it off at 8am and came back at 4pm to see if anything had been done to be told that nothing was done on my car(was still sitting in the same spot i left it), not even some of the small fixes were done. Was told that they were short staffed today but received no heads up, calls or anything to inform me early on that this would be an issue for them. Told me that I could leave it overnight to possibly get started at the end of their day into tomorrow. Took my keys back and left and will not be coming back, terrible communication/service.

Asked for the cost to have a nut tightened on sway bar for one wheel, and was told they don't have a rate unless they change the old part. Or could charge an hourly rate of $197.00 an hour. Seriously? To tighten a nut. Will NEVER ignore the negative reviews of this place again! Wouldn't be wasting my time if I wasn't recovering from being in emergency room on the weekend. Shame this place is our On-Base choice.

I came in need of a new battery as my current one was dead dead. Richard assisted me quickly, explained the possibility of other complications if it wasn t just the battery, ordered a battery, gave me a guesstimated me (which was 100% correct). Service was quick. And easy, no surprises and i was kept in the loop the whole time. Being an observant person, I also noticed how Richard treated his staff with respect and quickly offered his mechanic a helping hand.

Honestly if you want more problems then what you came with then come here. I had all four of my tires changed with wrong lug bolts put on and now have to change tires again a year and half later. This place is trash and needs to close. Ripping off service members is their business.

took 6 hours to get new tires and an alignment even with an appointment, but the car rides smoothly again and the workers are nice people.

Came in to patch a tire from a tiny little nail. They than told me it was not repairable than tried to charge me $300 for a new tire. So I took my tire down to Goodyear and they patched it up for $25

I know this Firestone has been pretty rough for a while but this place is clearly under new management now! Richard (the new manager) has been so helpful, he made time for his guys to see me and get my Safety Inspection done SAME DAY. I know that s not normal but he heard me out about how urgent it was, having just gotten back from deployment and needing a good car. Their customer service and care has stepped up exponentially! I m so glad a have a reliable shop on base to go to now. Thanks again guys!

This Firestone has disappointed me. I came here aware my car needed maintenance in order to pass the safety inspection but was told my first problem was my expired registration, completely understandable. I was told by the new store manager Richard that it was too late for me to get my registration renewed because of my safety inspection status. My safety inspection technically isn t expired yet and I still had the opportunity to go get it renewed to make a new safety inspection appointment smoother. I ve renewed my registration due to visiting another mechanic for a second opinion who has provided more honest and accurate information. Richard is nice, but I m not comfortable or confident enough in the service he provided me on that day to visit Firestone MCBH again for services on my current vehicle on any other vehicle I own in the future.

Two days ago, I walked in mid-morning without an appointment for a suddenly flat tire that kept me from going back to work. Even though they were clearly busy, Richard got me in fairly quickly. Thankfully, the guys were able to fix my tire and get me on my way. My sincere thanks to Richard and the Firestone crew. I m grateful for the save. I ll return for sure.

I don t normally post reviews but wanted to show some support for Richard. He s helped me twice now in the short time that he s been the new manager. First time was last week for headlights and brakes and this week for new tires. Both times he was attentive, personable, and clearly was working hard and cared about his job. I know this Firestone hasn t had great reviews in the past but take that with a grain of salt. Last week as I was picking up my car, I walked in on a customer being extremely condescending towards Richard when he politely informed them that his shop did not carry the part the customer wanted. It goes both ways and this Firestone is now under new and improved management! Thank you Richard for all of your hard work. It s noticed and appreciated.

We booked online, unfortunately something went wrong with the system. Luckily Richard let us know that he would try to get it done before he leave but they were short staffed. He was able to deliver and was sure to give us all the information to help prevent the issue from reoccurring.

Believe the 1 star reviews. I paid over $600 to have my brakes and rotors changed. Immediately after the install, the new brakes began screeching every time I stopped. I waited a couple weeks to see if it would go away, but it didn't. I scheduled a follow-up appointment after which they said the problem was fixed due to the rotors being too tight. The problem is definitely not fixed. Not only do my brakes still screech when I stop, but now there is a low screeching sound even when I am not stepping on the brakes. I did not have this problem before going here. I am not a mechanic, but I would assume this type of install is more routine for an Auto Repair shop.Service: Brake service & repair

I came in this afternoon due to I have a flat tire. I am so disappointed took them 1hr and 30 minutes to tell that my tire cannot be repaired and did NOT showed me or tell me the cause of my flat tire. Customer service was very bad.

Cant speak highly enough of the service Richard and the boys provided. Got 4 new tires in a very timely manner and the very next day had the misfortune of running over a shard of metal and destroying one. Took it back in and Richard took care of us immediately. Highly recommend this shop.Service: TiresService: Tires

Email to Firestone.I am emailing with unfortunate news about a poor experience with a Firestone store located on the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. This morning, approximately 0800, I walked into the store inquiring about an oil change. I was greeted professionally by who I know now as the store manager. He gladly accepted the requirement to change my vehicles oil by the end of the day. He assured me that it would be complete by the end of the day.I just returned from the store. The vehicles oil was not changed. After sitting in the unattended store for 10 minutes, I found two employees in the back of the shop area chatting. The manager on duty mentioned that my vehicle was not completed. When I acted confused on the why the agreement was not held up, he shrugged his shoulders, looked at the ground, and responded I didn t say it would be complete .Taken back, I asked him if he would be able to front load the task in the morning. He responded that he couldn t have it done before lunch. He then refused to call the store manager to rectify the issue. He then proposed that I take it somewhere else to get it done.Problems:1.) False Assurance. Assurance was given that the vehicles service would be complete by the end of the day. The result was an incomplete service with an empty promise to have it done much later than agreed upon.2.) An unprofessional representation of the company. Bob did a poor job empathizing in this scenario, and did an even worse job trying to make it right. When given the opportunity to front load the oil change (a 20-30 minute task), he choose to dismiss it completely.3.) Workload vs Supervision. Finding the right balance of accepting work and accomplishing work is not an easy task. The perception of being behind while finding employees not at work is not a good look. Additional supervision and guidance might be needed for this team. It was clear to the manager on duty that my vehicle was not done, nor was going to be done. A call would have helped.Bottomline: I needed this oil change to be complete today for subsequent actions and tasks I have for tomorrow. This inconvenience comes at a bigger cost than Bob realizes. Walking away I couldn t help but to feel Firestone (not Bob) failed to fulfill on a promise (an easy one at that).

There are lots of bad reviews, but they have a new service manager, and he is turning it around. I scheduled my appointment, I was there at the correct time, and my vehicle was promptly ready when they said it was.Services: Tires, Wheel alignmentServices: Tires, Wheel alignment

I usually hear about places on base not being very good quality. I had my battery replaced under the warranty, from setting up the appointment to complete was pretty good. I had not issues, the process was not drawn out and I got my car fixed. Again, not a serious repair, but I will definitely go back if need be.

Despite the unfavorable reviews, I was willing to give them a shot. My appointment was scheduled, I dropped off my car, and I got it ashort while later. Although the staff was friendly, I believe most reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.

I took it in on a Monday to see why the check engine and ABS light was on. They told me they would give me a response in a day. By Wednesday they had not called with any information, so I went in to ask what was going on. They told me it would get looked at later that day and they would give me a call. By Thursday afternoon I had no response. I went back in to ask about it. The vehicle had still not be checked. This is not the first time I have experienced service like this at this location. This establishment is horrible! You will have to wait longer and pay more if you go here. I recommend you save your time and money and take your vehicle to another shop. I do not recommend this shop for any service other than to ask if they can check your tire pressure and that might even take a day.Service: Brake service & repair

Brought my car in a couple months ago for a blown radiator hose and they fixed it in a couple days due to being busy for their Veterans Day tire sale. Had a great experience. Then, my husband called to make an appointment and they didn t ask what for. My husband has a stutter problem and asked the man on the phone if he should let them know now what he needed or if he should tell them the day of. The man on the phone told my husband that my husband sounded too tired and he couldn t understand what he was saying and that he should go back to sleep and call back when he s more awake to discuss what he needs done to the car and then hung up the phone.

I had a great experience here yesterday I m really not sure why there are so many negative reviews. It seems that some people can t grasp the concept that their car doesn t immediately become priority #1 the second they drop it off, but I digress. I brought in my car at around 0930 for a slow leak in one of my tires. Justin took my call and gave me the price estimate and said it would probably take a few hours. When I dropped it off the garage was full and I could see they were busy. I went back to my office on base and received a phone call before 1130 letting me know my car was done. The pickup was seamless they showed me the nail that they found in my tire, and I paid just over $30, less than I was originally quoted for. Can t beat that!It s only been 24hrs, so at the moment I can t speak for the quality of the tire repair, but I ll update the review if anything changes. So far everything is still great! Thanks!

Came in to get a tire patched and was told the screw was too close to the side wall to repair and that was reasonable then proceeded to ask how much a tire would cost. For a 205 55r 16 the older gentleman with a white beard quoted me 220 per tire. Mind you this is not a race car but a Toyota corolla took my business to the NEX tire store and paid 189 for 2 tires with mounting and balancing.
