Roland was very helpful and had great customer service and communication. He explained everything thoroughly and worked around my work schedule to have an appointment. Chrysler 300 mid/rear muffler delete into straight pipe. No disappointment here and very satisfied with the outcome. 10/10

Drove up hoping to buy an exhaust gasket earlier. Roland was super helpful, even though they didn t have what I needed. He point me in the right direction to buy one island instead of having to order online.Highly recommend due to his quality service and help even when he could ve just said they can t help.Definitely coming here if I need any exhaust work done.

Coming to Roland was like coming to a family for help. My catalytic converters were super clogged and were causing my car to stall on me, so I cut them out and ran nothing but headers for a few days. When I pulled my car into Roland's shop, I had a general idea of what I wanted to get done, and that was a full exhaust swap for a y pipe to an x. I pitched the idea to Roland, and we both sat down and put our heads together to get the best result possible. I ended up walking out with a new exhaust system along with dual 40s flowmasters, and my car has never run better. Thanks to Roland and his expertise, my pony can keep on trotting.

Took in my handi-cap conversion Honda Odyessy with a hole in the tailpipe and muffler rusted out. Roland was thorough and explained everything well and we discussed best solution and then he and his crew did the work right away. Would definitely use them again for any exhaust related work.

Coming to this shop was a great experience. I sell luxury vehicles for a living and we are always very keen on the customer experience being great, and the business will come.Prior to coming in, I looked up the reviews and was surprised to see lots of good stuff. When I called, Roland picked up and scheduled an appointment with me to bring in my 2007 Trailblazer SS. Once I got there (Which I was 20 mins early because I thought it would be a longer drive) I was greeted and asked if I had the appointment.Once he was all ready for me (Which was about 5-10 mins before my appointment, so great job on that), he brought me in and went over the basics that most shops wouldn't. He showed me a graph with the volume levels shown of the mufflers he carries, and made sure I understand that a "Good sounding" exhaust is opinionated and explained to me how to make the most informed decision prior to choosing.Roland then brought me under my Trailblazer, as it was on the lift and marked what he would be doing and gave me options on how I wanted it done.While the guys were doing the installation, I had a few conversations with Roland. One of the things we discussed was that companies that sell parts online are just destroying locally owned businesses because they sell things so cheap. What they do at this store is very fairly prices and I must say I left happy. Please remember that these locally owned businesses need the community, and it is worth it.No matter how cheap you may be able to get your part online and install it yourself, that can't replace the welcoming and exciting experience you can get at a good old locally owned shop like this.From now on, anyone who asks me about a good shop for exhaust needs, they will be referred here where I know I can trust them.Service: Exhaust

Very positive transaction. Roland will not try to upsell you. He will provide an honest assessment, estimate, and repair. Dont go to the big name shops for exhaust work. He will do it right with the right parts.

Roland is a A one guy, I really appreciate what he/team did and gave his time opinion. He really explain and showed everything what option, free estimate and did it right there. You must go to Kailua Location and Kailua Location only

I don t write reviews too often (in fact, I believe this is my first business review ever).First things first, take note of this business s location. There are many Exhaust Systems Hawaii on O ahu, but this one is proudly ran independently. If you re not dealing with Roland, you re at the wrong shop.Roland s passion for success is transparent through his work ethic and customer service and it showed today. Saturday evening, my mustang s exhaust pipes broke off randomly.. it was so obnoxiously loud, I couldn t return home and risk the complaints of my neighbors. After informing Roland, and despite him spending time with his family in a whole different city, he offered to meet me and store my car in his warehouse and he worked on it first thing Monday morning. A few hours later, he called me to pick up the vehicle and sent me off with a smile!I am one of the few coordinators for a mustang-enthusiast group out here that welcomes over 100 members. I have referred them all to Roland and only Roland. These guys have my business for life!Service: Exhaust

Went in to get an O2 sensor bung welded in for an air fuel ratio gauge. I brought them the pipe from my truck and provided the sensor bung to weld in. All they needed to to was drill a hole and weld which is a simple and quick job. They charged me 78 dollars. The weld quality was not the greatest. It doesn't leak which is great but the weld is very porous and rough and will begin to rust quickly. For 78 dollars I expect better quality welding or at least try to clean up your work with a wire brush and some exhaust paint.

I cannot recommend Roland and his Kailua location crew high enough. My muffler rusted off and they ordered the part and repaired it. They run their shop like a smooth doctors office. Intentional care of your vehicle. Efficient. Honest. Tells you exactly what you need and also what you don t. If they say they ll call, they call.If you are having car issues with your exhaust system, this shop is absolutely worth your money. Get the job done right.Service: Exhaust

Roland was so helpful. He lifted our car and let us look at the muffler system so that we understood what was going on. He was totally transparent, walked us through the process and gave us options. He even removed a rattling heat shield at no cost.He is genuine, friendly, funny and an honest man. Great prices and great work. I highly recommend him. He is by far the best mechanic I have ever met.

Excellent service. The way Roland treats you should be industry standard. Rather than blindly dropping your car off & waiting for the call, he includes you in the repair by physically taking you into his shop, showing you exactly what the problem is, the most likely cause of the problem, what he plans to do, his quote & the time to fix it. It's an immersive experience to where after it's all done, you understand your car better.Service: Exhaust

While I needed some mufflers put on my car, I heard a lot of bad things from this shop. So I went in rather pessimistic however I was proven wrong, totally reasonable pricing and quick service. Roland only wanted what was best for me and seemed rather disappointed that I didn't do what he said. He told me get quotes from everywhere on island and they will match it or beat it. Definitely recommend them to anyone that wants great work at a good price and done fast.Service: Exhaust

Roland and his team are absolute professionals. If you're looking for a trust worthy place to get some work done on your exhaust this is the best place to go to. Roland was very informative and helpful when explaining the issue I initially came in about. Showed me what the problem could be and even let me do the repairs myself using his shop s equipment and lift. Since the repairs were done by myself, he didn t charge me anything! Roland and the team at the Exhaust Systems Hawaii (Kailua) were exceptional in their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and efforts to make sure I was totally satisfied with the exhaust they fitted to my newly turbocharged diesel Hilux. If you are looking to get exhaust work done on the island, this is where you should go.

Great customer service from Roland, the owner of the Original, Exhaust Systems Hawaii (ESH) in Kailua.My car is 16 years old, and half of my heat shield fell off. Roland put it on the lift and removed the other half to stop the rattle for free.He gave his honest opinion and said my full stock exhaust system is fine. No need to spend money.Make sure you come to the original ESH. It was worth the 30 minute drive. Thank you.

So very glad that I was referred to these guys! I bought a 4runner from a guy that said the o2 sensors were the only thing wrong with the truck. When I brought it in to have it looked at, it turned out that all 4 catalytic converters had been removed. To replace them is a very expensive undertaking and I was pretty upset about it. I talked to a friend of mine who has been working as a mechanic for the last 40 years on this island and without hesitation he said go to Exhaust Systems Hawaii in Kailua. I was referred to Junior but when I went I saw Roland. Turns out it doesn't matter who you get at this place, they are all awesome. He lifted the truck and showed me what the guy did to get the truck to run and showed me what needed to be done. He gave me the option to find the parts myself or to used the parts he suggested. After lots of research and shopping around I brought back to him some options and he showed me his options. His were more than competitive and seemed the faster more reasonable route. During this whole time he kept in contact with me and gave me an estimate based on what work needed to be done and how much the parts were but also prepared me for possible issues. I dropped the tuck off to him and he kept it overnight to be sure all welds were done correctly and had cooled before turning it back over to me. As it turned out, the job needed less work than anticipated and he actually dropped the estimate to reflect the decrease in labor! I was shocked. In my experience with shops, I've always been charged more not less. My engine lights are all off and the truck runs like it's brand new. I don't write reviews but this service is so outstanding that I had to this time. I won't go anywhere else for my exhaust needs. Thanks Roland and crew.Services: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic
