I had an excellent experience at Security & Sound Systems! I can not say enough good things about shop owner Kent Izuka. He listened to my concerns, paid attention to detail, kept in communication with me and got the job done right the first first time in a timely manner. I felt as if he treated me like I was his best customer! Kent is the epitome of professionalism and dedication to his field! I highly recommend Kent and Security & Sound Systems as your first choice for you car audio and security needs. There is no other shop on island to get your installation done right than Security & Sound Systems. Big Mahalo to Kent and his installers!

Security & Sounds System is the BEST place to get your car alarm system in. They give u options n answer my questions. Price range is reasonable n affordable. Love that they took their time with me to make sure I m getting what I need. Not extras like the other shops. Jared was Wonderful. Walking me through the Viper System he d installed. Thank you. Professional, Great Customer Service, Awesome System, Clean, All Around A++++.

I have had a great customer experience. Kent had taken the time to go over multiple options for routes I had in mind. He had gone so far as to draw out plans and offer suggestions. Their installs from speakers to the wiring are all done professionally. After the installation, they even took well over half an hour to go over what had been done, how to upkeep, and maintain the products. Kent's whole team is welcoming and friendly. During the wait, I was even offered snacks and seating. 100/10 would recommend. Thank you, Security & Sound!-Jordan L.

I'm probably the worst customer. Always demanding the best service to include timely service, fair pricing, and professionalism that a business can provide but NEVER a Karen. I gotta give these guys the 5 star. First time customer, last minute request and pressed for time. Bruh, nailed it. Much love and aloha to you guy's. My daughters gonna give me the Best Dad Ever award again. But it was all You. God bless you all for saving the world again.

I've been a customer of Security & Sound Systems since my first college car. That was a long, long time ago. And Kent has been there the whole time, crouched behind the counter of an unassuming space under a walk-up apartment building. I once spent more on speaker upgrades than I did on the car that I put them in.When Apple Car Play became a thing, I went to Kent to put a basic Pioneer aftermarket head unit in my 2013 Mazda. As a Mililani to town daily commuter, it was probably the best investment I made in my car. So when I got a 2017 Honda, he set me up with a Wireless CarPlay unit from Kenwood. I asked for the most basic model, but since he only had the one-step-up in stock, he put that in for the same price.The install techs, I'm sure, are great people, but it's Kent's low-key style, local vibe, and knowledge of car tech that makes the difference.When I get my next car in 10 years, I'd like to think Kent and Security & Sound Systems will still be there.

I highly recommend Security & Sound Systems on Beretania. I went there on a recent Saturday morning with no appointment and they fit me in right away. They were extremely gracious with my messy surf beach car and gave me a place to stash my contents and surfboard while they worked on my car. I had an issue with some older after market backup sensors that went bad and were going off constantly while the trunk was open. I ve tried getting the sensors looked at by a number of other places in the past and none of them seemed to want to touch them - saying something to the effect that they weren t installed properly from the get go. Well S&SS cleaned up and redid all the wiring so I didn t have some janky middle area at risk of coming undone in the future. They also advised me on several other issues on my car and re-seated the spare tire that wasn t put back properly by another vendor and was banging around. These guys are legit. They are super friendly, knowledgeable, and got me in very quickly. Lovely husband & wife run business with quality electricians. That cost me around $150, which seemed totally worth it to know my sensors are all dialed in and no more annoying continuous beep when I m loading and unloading from my trunk. These guys also own the nearby sign shop and can hook you up with a variety of professional custom signs and are capable of complicated cuts with CNC machines. Don t hesitate on your choice of security and sound shops, this is the one!

Kent helped replace the factory subwoofer on my 4runner. Service was good and the price was competitive. They also give free Uber rides home after dropping the vehicle off.

Kent and his team at Security & Sound Systems are simply the best. I'm super detailed orientated myself and I found that the attention these guys put into the little things is what separates them from other car audio shops. I wanted a clean, custom approach to my system and challenged them to think outside the box with my install. After speaking with Kent on several occasions, taking his professional opinion/feedback/ideas into account. All while keeping my requests into account, we came to an agreement on what would work best in my truck. We swapped out all the wiring and stock speakers with various Focal Speakers and a JL stealth box. Custom fitting different sized speakers in the stock locations to still keep a clean, stock look. Added all the amps under one seat with a special amp rack/bracket to save space. At first glance it looks completely stock, then you turn it up and are completely blown away by this system. Super clean, extreme clarity, and tons of bottom end when you need it. I was just cleaning the truck yesterday and was admiring how clean the wiring job was. Those are the kinds of things that show how much pride they have in their work. The stealth box was initially on back order so Kent was kind enough to provide a loaner sub until the box came in. Never asked for it, but he wanted to make sure I had balance with the temporary set up until my box came in. Hit these guys up for all you car audio and security needs. True professionals who know their stuff, take pride in their work, and will make sure its done right. Mahalo!

Security and Sound has been and remain to be one of the most reputable and top notch audio, visual, and security retailers and installers on the island, since I can remember. I ve had personal experience with them ever since 1998, and it has always been nothing but friendly, knowledgeable and Personable experience every single time. If you want a you get this special price today, but price change tomorrow kind of deals and shops, this isn t the place for you. If you want high end, higher quality stuff, that comes with knowledge and experience with the products they sell, and install, this is the place for you.I HIGHLY recommend them!

They will take the time to chat with you about what the best option is for your car, your wallet, your wants & needs with ZERO pressure tactics to buy or offer something you don't need. They are straight up, honest and on the level! They are also upfront about the cost of everything with no hidden fees or add-ons. Installation is fast and immaculate. They will even offer and pay for a car service to get where you need to after you drop your car off.I could go on and on and on. Bottom line...I will not go anywhere else. Kent guys were awesome!! Not only recommending the components I needed to get the sound I wanted. But also keeping my budget in mind and helping correct a small problem that happened several months after the initial installation. Technician took the time to adjust sensitivity of alarm. Alarm easy to operate. Easy to understand arming and dis-arming instructions. Hopefully, alarm system is a deterrent to thieves. The price was very reasonable. I am a very satisfied and happy customer. Thanks Kent for the recommendations and great service.

My car was being vandalized in the parking lot where I live due to ongoing racially motivated harassment. Last week, I found that my battery was dead after my car had been broken into, again, and the lights had been switched on all night. I decided to get an alarm system as I waited for my great insurance company to come and give me a jump. I had no idea that an slam system was do expensive, which made it difficult for me to take the leap, but I explained my situation to this company and they went the extra mile for me. I won t put them in the awkward position of having other people expect exactly the same treatment because that can be difficult for businesses to give. But I will say that they went far above and beyond what they needed to do for me and with absolutely no notice. I had a great deal of respect for the people who worked on my car because they were so obviously proud of the good job of that done and they took a lot of time to explain what has been fixed and how and how I needed to use the system. I wish there were a few more choices for less pricey cameras that could be used as dash cams. When I asked around about dash cams I was always referred back to them so they are recognized within the community as the premier supplier of car security systems with installation, and rightfully so. I recommend going to this business.

I seen Kent and his team before. They did my install for my alarm on my truck. So I decided to go back to install my truck power tailgate lock. Very professional, clean and they are very customer orientated. I think the best sound and alarm shop on the island hands down. Went in a customer, came out a friend! The guys down at Security and Sound Systems have the greatest customer service! Sure most people focus on the item(s)/service(s) that they're spending money on, but would you go back to that same place if the service was poor or unsatisfactory to you? I bet not. They carry brand name products and the prices are very reasonable. Their service just capped off the entire experience. Easy check-in/drop-off, as well as, the picking up. They explained all my options and have very good product knowledge to best help with my decision making. Upon picking up of my car, they gave me all the info I needed to know about my alarm and even took the time to walk me through the alarm settings. With the time duration, quality of work, and customer service...you need to give them a call IF you want the same experience I got when doing business with them!! Conveniently located in town and generous hours of operation throughout the week.Mahalo Security & Sound Systems!

This company is INCREDIBLE! Kent absolutely provides the best service and always courteous! I have armed two vehicles with them and they go above and beyond to accommodate my schedule struggles. They offer rides and options to drop and pick up your car. Their service is prompt, they take care of your car and treat it like their own. The products for alarms are top notch, work so well and they explain everything in detail! Prices reasonable and well worth it! I won't go anywhere else!

I just needed a deck for my car and I heard this place was known as a good place. So I had called them and spoke with Kent. Right away he was very helpful and proffessonal. When I came in, Kent walked me through all the options and was more than willing to help. The installation was fast with no problems. Overall I was more than satisfied with the finished product. I would definitely reccomend them to anyone.
