Yan, I just want you to know how truly grateful I am for the professional and excellent service you provided me on such a short notice when my car died coming downhill on Ward...no brakes or much steering.... I was lucky to have made a slight turn off of Ward on South Hotel St. The engine was off. Got the car restarted, called you and drove to your shop. You found the problem, fixed it and I was on my way back to work. Knowing there's someone you can trust and provides service with a fair price is so important. Thank you for being that person!

While I appreciate them taking my vehicle in such short notice, I think they made my situation worse. I dropped by to install a new starter. Shortly after leaving the shop, I made a stop and tried to start my vehicle. I noticed smoke coming from my center console armrest along with a burning smell as well as from the engine bay. They also don't provide a warranty on customer parts brought in as well as labor. I feel like I wasted 3 hours there and over $200.00 for absolutely nothing. They're nice people, though.

10000% recommend. Punahou Auto Service is trustworthy and very reliable. During my vacation, I experienced issues with my car rental and reached out to Punahou Auto Services. I was so impressed with how professional and kind they were. While other auto shops were telling me that I needed to wait 4-6 hours for a simple flat tire, Punahou Auto Services took my car in right away and got the job fixed within 15 minutes. Not only were they extremely efficient and reliable, they charged a fair price (which is extremely rare to find) and it was evident that they genuinely cared about the type of quality and services they delivered. It truly reflected how hard they work to earn your trust and loyalty which is the first worry that comes to mind when looking for any type of auto services. I didn t have to worry and they saved me so much time and money! Beyond providing great services, I can tell that Punahou Auto Services is run by a team of great people and businesses like these truly deserve every bit of recognition.I wish I could find auto services as good as Punahou in my own city! They are definitely the best option in town and I would recommend them to anyone needing car services.

Do not have enough information to judge, they did the headlight okay very expensive though $225 for a headlight? They said it took an hour which if you search for the average hourly for a mechanic it's $25 an hour... they did have to take apart a lot of the front....And I'm not 100% sure I hope they didn't mess with my suspension it just seems like I'm all of a sudden hitting every bump in the road? It's probably just me.... since they shouldn't have put it up on a lift it to begin with....

I was impressed that they took me in right away and how quickly they fixed my truck in 1 day dropped it off in the morning got it before closing. Mahalo Punahou auto service!

They took my car in immediately. They offered to beat a competitor's price if the other place was cheaper but they weren't cheaper. They never judge my poor parking skills and simply navigate my car for me in the very tiny space available. They even put air in my bicycle's tires!

AMAZING PLACE!!!! With Punahou Auto Service, my mind is at complete ease knowing that my car is in great hands and the team is extremely trustworthy.We all know that everyone s first worry when you need auto services is the amount of money and time you ll need to spend. When I take my car here, I never worry about being scammed or charged ridiculous fees. I also never worry about having to wait a ridiculous amount of time because their team is so efficient and reliable. You are doing yourself a disservice if you take your car anywhere else other than here.Honestly a hidden gem and the best car repair shop in all of Oahu.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!Long story short, we took our van in for a squeaking noise several weeks ago. 3 visits to Punahou Auto, multiple tows, car not starting and being stranded for hours, almost $2000 in repairs with them, and today the belt they replaced to fix this squeaking noise originally fell off while driving. Thankfully no one was hurt. The owner is extremely sketchy, gaslighting us into thinking it's always some other issue, never taking responsibility for things still going wrong. My husband was very cordial over the phone trying to get him to help us out in fixing the issue that they solved, but the owner just starts getting mad and hangs up. Very untrustworthy. I beg of you, do not put yourself through this and take your business elsewhere!

Part swappers not master mechanics. I hate that I have to write this but it is what it is. Over $1200 in parts and labor and my vehicle has the same issue. They said they still don't know what issue is.....but they would be happy to continue swapping parts out and Charging me.....labor prices should reflect the skill received not a master mechanic price which the job did not reflect

I asked them to fix a noise on my car and in a nutshell they told me it was a bunch of other things but never fixed the noise. When I asked why that noise couldn t go away the , Mechanic said, It s gotta be that it is an old engine . My car has 115,000 miles. The process was a headache, the repair cost me a chunk of my savings and they understood my point but they just had to turn it around and point the finger to the previous owner. Maybe I m wrong but overall I m dissatisfied that they didn t fix what I told them to fix. I never experienced that with a mechanic.

Won and his team have always been super accomidating and helpful! He always gives his best advice when i need maintenance for my vehicle, safety checks are a breeze also! If you need a reliable mechanic with excellent customer service, Punahou auto is the place! Thank you Won and team!

Went for a $130 engine diagnostic check and left with a broken ac and no advice on engine. It was all you d have to replace this to be sure. They charged another 130 for another diagnostic and said replace everything. Suspicious about what happened to my AC since it stopped working the moment I drove off after I had them check the engine. Would never recommend this place. Current ownership definitely take advantage of people who aren t as car savvy.

The owner of Punahou Auto Repair was so gracious to assist me with installing a replacement side marker light (to cover a turn signal) and a front license plate bracket in order to pass a vehicle inspection for my daughter's 2001 Lexus RX 300 which I was registering for out of state registration. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the registration due to not having the vehicle title in person with me but my daughter was able to complete the vehicle registration after I mailed it to her. The owner was super gracious and helpful since I needed to complete the repair and vehicle inspection on the same day in order to meet a 3 pm appointment at the City of Honolulu Satellite Office at Ala Moana Mall

Received prompt and friendly service for my car AC. And, their work is guaranteed x1 year. Used brand new and not reconditioned parts for my car AC repair. Dropped off in AM. Rdy to pik up cpl hours later.

Nothing but parts mechanic. They replace everything the computer says could be the problem for a check engine light. I have no suggestion of another repair shop, but I am looking.Best bet so far was oriellys. I used their computers just replaced the mass air flow sensor. Just to be clear I put back the old parts, plugs and TPS, and they work just fine.

My daughter s 2005 Kia Amanti needed a new radiator, so we called a few shops to get estimates.Some shops said it would take a week before they could do the work one place said they don t work on Kia s because humbug .I called Punahou Auto, spoke to Won, I gave him the vehicle license number and he gave me a very reasonable estimate. It was in and out in one business day and he put this dad s mind at ease, knowing my daughter was driving in a fully functioning vehicle.Mahalo, Won and crew at Punahou Auto ServiceChris Quintana (very satisfied customer)

Punahou Auto Service is consistently good. They know their stuff, honest, and friendly. If you ve got some car problems, or if just need your car serviced, like alignment, brakes or whatever, this is the place to go.Auto repair is a complicated business these days and they ve got all of the latest tech to diagnose and fix any problems.I recommend them for sure.

I definitely recommend Punahou Auto Repair for state inspections! It's only by appointment, so be sure to call ahead and schedule a time to stop by. When you come, they're very prompt, thorough, and professional.

I had an emergency this week and my Jeep stalled out in the middle of an intersection in Town! Punahou was the closest auto shop and were absolutely as helpful as they possibly could have been. I was in a bad situation and was really worry about being taken advantage of since I had no other options but Punahou was professional all the way. After a diagnostic test and quick repair I was back on the road within a few hours and paid a very fair price. Much aloha to everyone at the shop! If I could give 6 stars I would!
