This man is about to retire and could not care less about offering quality customer service. I stopped by last week with obvious CV joint issues. I was given an appointment for today at 8:30 a.m. After inspection, I was told I have a junk car that will need to be replaced soon. He was willing to fix for $600 labor and the price of parts plus an additional $100 for each part over retail market value. Over $1,000 total although I never received official estimate because he had no intention of helping. I also found the part he stated "was not on island" in less than 30 minutes! And I'm not even in the auto repair business! Am I supposed to believe that a mechanic with 35 years experience doesn't get a break on part prices and cannot find parts that are ON ISLAND!? So pilau!If you're looking for a trustworthy honest mechanic, he is NOT it. I wasted an entire days pay under the impression he would be able to help me. He did not help. He promised me I would receive an email quote by noon but had to call myself at 4:00 p.m. when I heard nothing. The office staff did not even get the message.Don't waste your time. Find yourself a good mechanic who's not looking to fluff their retirement fund.

Quite literally cannot say enough good things about Priams. I moved to Hawaii 5 years ago and after hearing about all the dishonest shops in Hawaii I m so glad I found Priams. They have taken care of 2 of my cars since I moved here and have on multiple occasions told me that service on certain things wasn t needed when many shops would have just taken my money and done work they didn t need to. Always reasonably priced on repairs and very kind/honest about what needs to be done/what can wait. Will take all my cars here as long as I live in Hawaii. Best mom and pop shop on island by far.

Great service and good people. Not gonna rip you off. We had a light pop on, they checked it out quickly, let us know that it wasn't anything major, turned it off and didn't charge us a thing. Definitly coming back.

This is hands-down the best auto shop I've ever been to. As a young female, going to auto shops always makes me feel anxious because I know I am going to either be tricked or taken advantage of. Not here. Priam's understands I need quality work for the right cost, I never feel uncomfortable and know I'm getting the best price on the island. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get work done on their car.

Both Priam and Sharron were super friendly and knowledgeable! I was able to get my car in for a safety inspection the same day I called with no appointment necessary. Priam even secured our license plates to our BMW (we came from Germany, the front bumper has no holes but Priam worked his magic!) I would highly recommend their services. BEST automotive shop I've visited with the nicest, most honest people I've ever met. I was recently told by Firestone my struts and shocks were blown and I needed to spend $3k to replace them immediately. I wanted a second opinion and read Priam's was the best shop to go to on island. When I got there I was checked out immediately and the gentleman who helped me (didn't catch his name) inspected by struts/shocks thoroughly. He took his time and properly educated as well as assured me what I was told by Firestone "NEEDED" to be changed - didn't need to be changed at all. The very sweet woman (didn't catch her name either) there came out of the shop after the inspection to reassure me everything on my car was fine. They ensured my vehicle was still safe, and gave me the piece of mind I needed without making me feel incompetant . I'm very thankful repairs weren't required today but I WILL go back to support them for all my future car needs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Went in thinking is was something MORE expensive, came out at half the cost. Priam was honest and genuine about what the problem was and fixed it right away. Priam and his team Sharon and Isaac are the best! They are always happy to answer my questions and chat. I have been coming to this shop for 3 years, and would never go anywhere else. Sharon is an awesome lady, and I always leave having learned something new about cars. Car stuff stresses me out so I appreciate having people who I know I can rely on. I truly love Priam and Sharon his wife. Such nice nice people. They bend over backwards tobe of service to their customers. They give the real local home touch service that is faded so long ago. Very small shop but they make out for it in the hearts. Not a bad mechanic too. Wink

Very honest and professional shop. Diagnostic on point. I asked to check my hub bearings, ball joints, rear drum brakes, fill brake cylinder. Told me my rear brakes still had a lot more to go and ball joints are fine but I have to replace cylinders and hub bearing. Very fair price and they did not even charge me for the front hub assembly. Got my jeep back and am happy with the work they have done. Fixed my problems!! (Plural problems) Would never have thought to replace the cylinders. Will always come back to these guys whenever I have a problem. I trust them and their knowledge. Also, very good customer service and friendly. Huge plus!

Super friendly and very honest. They talk to you like you re part of their family. I never feel like they re selling me something I don t need. When they forgot to put my safety check sticker on once, they drove up the hill to my house and put it on instead of having me come back in!

Small place tucked away in Pauoa Valley. Always busy...only open Monday to Friday. Friendly staff and great service. They just make you feel you can trust them...not like some big shops. Our 2004 Toyota Corolla wouldn't start and the shifter wouldn't engage in any gear. Google said the issue was probably as simple as a disengaged shift cable ($150) to as bad as a broken shift cable ($500). Priams diagnosed it as a disengaged cable...fixed it in 30 mins...went beyond to make sure it never happens again...and charged me only $140 for parts and labor. I had brought my other cars here before and was always satisfied...in fact there were a few times they didn't even charge me since I only asked for a diagnosis and estimate...some shops charge you for that kind of stuff. Need your car fixed right...bring it to Priams.

Everyone there is efficient, friendly and helpful. Got safety check done in no time. My burnt tail light and high beam fuses were replaced on the spot for a good price

I have been going to Priam for years. They are an honest auto repair company and is able to get the job done right and done quickly. I have never gone to anyone else to help with the issues I have with my car.

This is the place I have visited on multiple occasions. I really like the fact that they are more concerned about me than making money. They are easy to work with. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to repair your car.

Went there to repair my brake line was turned away, due to them saying their shop ain't big enough to do my truck...poor service saying they don't have a lift... that was a lie they didn't want to fix my truck because it is lowered...boohoo so they told us to go to Texaco...they turned us down also...lol Mickie mechanics deez days...so I had to drive with no brakes to PUNAHOU AUTO REPAIR they squeezed us in no problem professional service

Basic, no nonsense mechanics here. Pricing is right on mark and there is some good old fashioned experience in this small service center. Place is a mechanics shop and feels like it too.
