Unlike any other establishment, this guy is unique and fun to deal with.Price very reasonable and fast, I come here now for 5 years and he never disappointed me " ever ".I would recommend to do your safety inspection " only " as this seems to be just what he does, his business looks more like a museum as you're taken back into the 70-80 by all the posters, pictures and items hanging all over the place.

Great place. You got to see it to believe it. They did my car inspection in 20 minutes. The chickens are running around all over the place. The guys looks like Jimmy Buffett and listens to his music If you're a baby boomer this is the place you've got to go when your vehicle needs it annual inspection. No appt needed! You laugh until you cry all the while getting your vehicle inspection sticker. Just look for the big red tongue, You know the one from the 'Rolling Stones".LOL, on the wall outside 1249 Mookaula St 96817. CR is located not far from the Kap lama Satalight City Hall ( you know the one across from Costco Iwilei Alakawa st and Dillingham.

Last year was great. Enjoy conversations with the owner. Today, he is closed around 10 a.m., but Google says he's open from 9 am. Does anyone know another place like his? Really wanted him to do a safety inspection.Update...Sat30 2023 Sept. CR is opened. He's still doing safety inspections.

Quick and easy vehicle inspection for registration. First come first serve; CASH ONLY! I went Saturday at 0900 and I was number 3 in line. Had to come back after fixing my tint and there was no line around 1100.

Went in for a Safety check, super great environment. Dude was super friendly made great conversation and overall best experience I ve had in any mechanic shop. Definitely gonna be bringing my cars here in the future.

Overall unprofessional and wasted my time with no work doneCalled to see if they were busy or had availability for a safety inspection, was told 9-5:30. Asked again if they were busy or how long it would take, was told they do inspections 9-5:30. I said that doesn't really answer my question, how long will it take? I'm told 20 minutes. I get there, wait in line for a bit, then pull up and the man starts saying a bunch of stuff I can't hear, I guess he's talking to me, then he says you want a quick inspection I'll give you a quick inspection no more than 5 minutes then starts spouting off everything wrong with my car, I try explaining myself as I wasn't trying to rush him over the phone I just needed to know if it was going to be all afternoon because I don't have that much time but he won't have it. Keeps going on about how he'll give me a quick inspection. I'm like alright thanks and leave. Wasted 45 minutes of my time for nothing but a bad taste in my mouth.

Super unprofessional. He said it will be a total of $30. I gave him a $40 bill and then lied to me about he doesn t have change. How do you ONLY take cash and don t have change for a $10 bill. WHICH is a complete lie because as I was waiting to take money out the ATM he had plenty of cash in his hands but refused to give me my change. I should of called the police on him. Of course, I failed my safety and have 30 days to redo it and when I come back he ll voice me my change.

Guy refused to do my safety check when nothing was wrong with my truck. He acted like he wanted me to shoot him some money under the table. Problem is there was nothing wrong with my truck. I also had the feeling me being mexican and him having trump flags had something to do with it as well. I went to midas and passed with flying colors.

Horrible service. Does not know how to perform inspections properly. Lied and said I have after market tint on vehicle and it s too dark. All lies and untrue.Also, he lied and said glue on my windshield from my phone holder is a gash in my windshield. This guy is a joke and unbelievable. A total waste of time.Go to Starkey s. They are super nice and thorough.

A really rough experience. The gentleman was not friendly or helpful. On top of that, the loud music made it difficult to have a conversation, the process was slow, and his pet chickens made it feel unsafe. I would not recommend coming here for your safety inspection.

Great service. The guy that works there was very respectful, kind and knowledgeable. Service was fast and easy as well. He pointed us in the right direction for our following steps as we are new to the island. Would definitely recommend. Especially for those who have just moved here.

This place is super busy, but they do great work. The owner is upfront if you need to repair something right now, or if there are other options. I have been going here for years.

Easy & efficient experience last time, planning on returning for I think will be my third time over past few yrs. Side Bonus is the owner is a cool guy in my and my bestie s opinion.

Is ent there for a safety check as recommended by my coworker. If there s anything wrong with your car, he ll go on a tangent about how you need to fix something and doesn t want to hear any kind of explanation. Very unprofessional and rude.

Certain things have changed... but, Stones is a great guy and his shop is still awesome and you cant deny the help that he has given many of us for the long period that he has. Really hope your shop continues to bring in loyal customers despite the changes.

Best place for a safety inspection! People know about this place, and with no appointments, you have to get there early. Park nearby at your own risk and the line forms on the sidewalk outside about an hour before they open. Once they open they pass a clipboard down the line and will call your cell phone when it s your turn. Very quick inspections, but the line easily can be several hours long after they open. Show up early, cash only, and you won t have any trouble with your inspection. Definitely military friendly too!

Not sure of how good their work is but be prepared to wait.....and bring a chair as the line starts early and stays late. The lady running the front desk is nice enough and the other people working there seem the same, but I cannot get over the wait times. Might be different during different times of the day or year, but August in the morning was a no go for me.

I had my safety check done there last year and found this place by word of mouth. The best place ever for a safety check. They weren't so meticulous like other places. There's usually a waiting time but it's worth it and after last year, if they're still in service, I'll never go anywhere else. Their friendly service made this place a keeper for me as I really hope the system in our State will get rid of the Safety Check inspection and let us drivers take care of our problem with our vehicles when it is needed. Because of the system in this State a lot of folks can't get a safety check because of little things like the lights won't go off on your dashboard. That's just too much and causes a lot of stress and time. CR Imports, do not change. We the people need you. You're all we have. Thank you folks so very much.

Fantastic and friendly staff. Yes you will have to wait because they are that popular. Just phone in and reserve a spot then go hang out somewhere nearby. You will get a courtesy call when your turn is coming up. New to the island and I expect I will be going back every time.

Hassle free safety checks. There are no appointments abd while yes, a safety only takes a few minutes to do, his garage is always packed. They have a good system so come in early and get your name on the waiting list and then just hang out nearby and they will call you with about 20-30 minute notice.

This of course is just my experience. I showed up here to get a safety inspection. There was little to no parking. After I lingered for about 15 minutes someone finally approached me. Told me it would be about a 3 hour wait and that she would call me when I can come back. She finally called almost 5 hours later. Needless to say this left a bad taste in my mouth. I just wanted a safety check that only takes 10 minutes to do....

Friendly vibe to the place. The guy asked several questions regarding what needs fixed, got my info, got busy, and got me in and out real quick. Keep in mind this shop is a first come first serve but I will definitely be back

VERY rude service. This was my first inspection here and he would speak softly with his back to me, then got mad when I didn t follow his instruction because I could not hear him. Even my children heard how disrespectful he was. I will never go here again.

It's ok, not the most professional or organized. I went to go get a safety check and his website said open 9:00am to 5:00pm. I called no answer so I drove down there and I don't live close at all, I had my little baby boy with me also. I got there he was their , but told me ,"NO I'm not doing safety checks today!!" i asked ,"when is a good time for me to come back", he said ,"good question I don't know!!" I was shocked that this is his business and this is how he treats a customer...I'm a business owner , and I would never talk to a client/ customer like that! BAD BUSINESS ETIQUETTE
