High recommend this shop. My ac was blowing hot air, they said that my rear evaporator was leaking in my 2003 escalade and it would probably be about $1000 to replace. I thought that was quite expensive since the part only cost $70. They just charged me $100 for the diagnosis and a recharge, not too bad.I ended up replacing the rear evaporator myself and that took me nearly all day so now I understand why they would charge so much since you would be pay a bit for the labor with the disassembling, reassembling the back unit along with vacuuming out the air and recharging the ac system took me nearly 8 hours.I attached a few photos to show what replacing the rear evaporator intales.

Simon and Steve were professional and friendly from the start until the end for my evaporator replacement. If you know anything about an evaporator replacement on Toyota, they are a huge pain in the butt. The entire dash needs to be removed and then twoote layers to get to the failed and leaking evaporator.After a $95 evaluation, they clearly explained the issue and cost. The $95 goes toward the $2K evaporator replacement. I went around 3 popular and highly regard AC shops and their prices were the same. I went with cool tech because my mechanic, Stewart's Auto recommended them. Stewart is a straight shooter and I respect his opinion. He was correct, the shop was clean and most importantly, I felt their staff were honest folks. All parts were OEM and a one year warranty for parts and labor was included.

Very good service and friendly local AC garage. Somewhat hard to find so I would make an appointment. The garage was one or two doors past (East or "Diamond Head Way" of) where Google maps took me. They charged me 1/2 the phone quote since my vehicle used a less costly refrigerant and they also added lubricant. If I need a new evaporator I will be going back to Simon/Cool Tech for the repair.Service: A/C installation & repair

This was the absolute best car servicing experience I have had since relocating to Hawaii. Simon was friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable.Simon diagnosed my issue and ordered my part before the Lyft arrived. Other technicians suggested replacing the same part, but provided quotes 2x higher (to be fair an actual diagnostic had not been conducted).My diagnostic fee was waived since the vehicle was serviced there. When I called at the end of the school day (I teach) my vehicle was ready for pickup. My teacher discount allowed me to walk out of the shop with a new fan, fan motor, filter and refrigerant topped for a fraction (less than $400) of the other quotes $700-$1,000 I received to replace the same $200 part.The customer service and workmanship was top-notch. I had them diagnose a leak in my air conditioner. They claimed it was a $1000+ part, but it was actually a $10 part. They didn t even mention the correct area, which was an easy to find valve seal, I had to find it myself. Any shop doesn t want to find a $10 repair. Two other shops gave me wrong information as well, but one of them finally got it right. My air conditioner is working perfectly now. Maybe they screwed up honestly, but I would say perhaps these guys want your money, despite being very capable, or they just want to lie. I paid them for the false diagnosis.They can fix your car for thousands, then actually the repair is something that cost them less than five dollars. I would say get multiple opinions from different shops And don t tell them where the leak supposedly is, plus test your system yourself with UV dye kit that you can get for $15 at O Reilly auto parts. ;).

I trully could not recommend Simon and CoolTech more.I service my entire TURO rental fleet , personal vehicles, commercial tour vans.These guys are reliable, honest, on time and most definitely KNOW-IT-ALL ABOUT AUTO-AC.Do not go waste time going shop to shop in Kalihi.Forget dealer-stealer.This is the type of mechanic you always wanted your friends to recommend.

After reading all the reviews here, I've decided to pick them to fix my aircon. Without a doubt, all the reviews here were accurate. Steven and Simon were honest, friendly, and accommodating from the start. In my case, Nissan would want me to change the whole system, instead of just the defective part which they did which saved me money. Thanks again for their fantastic customer service. If anyone needs aircon repairs, come see these guys. The only thing I would correct from the other reviews, they are not father and son. Thanks again Steven and SimonPedro

The father and son team were truly incredible. They were able to identify my air conditioning problem after other mechanics were not able to find the cause. Their price was reasonable, and they were honest and hospitable. It was completely refreshing to have such a positive, no stress experience in doing a major car repair.

Oh my God! If you have any air-conditioning problems with you car! You got to check this place out. This father and son are the most honest guys you'll meet, very caring, very honest and very great pricing. They will check you cars air conditioning system and have it done the proper and professional way. Thanks would highly recommend anyone to go here, even before going to your dealership if your cars warranty is expired. I had a problem wit my air conditioning and they fixed it in 30 minutes. Now I'm cruzing in an ice box on those hot and humid days, take it from me! There the best for n town & I don't think other shops can compete with their prices.

They evaluated my AC last year. I thought they were wrong and they said I had a serious leak. I thought it meant 2 days and my AC would be empty. But 3 months later I found they were mostly right, AC had all leaked out ! Sorry I doubted them.. thought serious leak meant a day or two.. oops my mistake.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning
