They replaced my clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing in January 2023, the job is supposed to last a good minimum of 50,000 miles, it failed after 6-7000 miles in Novevember 2023, I took it back in December 11th 2023, it is now January29th, 2024 and I haven t even received one status of job call, no progress in rectifying it at all , I would not recommend anyone starting a new work with this company and I feel for those who are already sucked into their inability to perform

What a great shop and good bunch of guys. Specifically Brysen. My man kept me informed and performed the repair quickly and accurately. The issue I had appeared to be a transmission issue but after their diagnosis is was determined to be engine related, which they were able to repair.I got the transmission tune up and the truck operates noticeably smoother. This service isn't just a flush. They drop the pan, clean everything out, make adjustments, and replace the filter.Overall couldn't be more satisfied and found the cost reasonable. 6 out of 5 stars!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Brysen and his team are INCREDIBLE and I am SUPER grateful for their very hard work and expert knowhow and dedication and creativity in fixing a serious transmission leak on my Jeep liberty!! They took special care and special attention to design a custom built solution involving creating and plugging into a new cooling system that was super solidly built and that would last a long time and fit perfectly for the car's specifications and use and not get easily damaged especially off-grid! MANY THANK YOUS!!!

I kind of hate to do this review because the guys were so nice. They wanted $500 to replace a hose to the transmission cooler. I went to O Reillys and bought it for less that $20. Did it myself and it wasn t even that hard. Took 5 minutes to take off the old leaky hose, and 5 minutes to install the new one. That was over a year ago and still no issues. Lesson: don t trust everything your told.

I brought these guys a car and they kept it for over 6 months only to tell me that they didn't have the equipment to fix it properly. Then while still in their possession, the car was vandalized at their facility and the catalytic converter was stolen. The owner of the shop then inform me to take it up with my insurance, while also asking me to pay for a service that they couldn't provide. I would never recommend this place and after speaking with the community about my experience, I found out that I'm not alone. There are multiple other people in this community that have been duped by this unscrupulous company. Please do not go here for any reason other than a refund.

Before taking my 06 Tacoma there for service Bryson did a rough estimate based on my answers to his questions. Routine transmission servicing was all I needed and it was done in a couple of hours while I waited. I am most pleased with the service, price and smiles that came with getting my truck repaired there.

Brysen and the guys at Transmission Technology were great! I brought in a 99 Tacoma that was driving terribly. They took a look at the transmission and test drove the truck, charging a diagnostic fee (which is put towards any work you decide to have done). They found the issue, ordered the part, and did a full service of the transmission. The truck is driving great now and all for a reasonable price.The communication was fantastic and I was able to somewhat understand what was causing the issues as Brysen explained it simply enough for me to grasp. They also put me in contact with a local car rental service as I live in Volcano.Impressive work and much appreciated. Mahalo

Sending all my aloha to the team at TransTech. I was told they were pono and knew what they were doing and they 100% live up to their reputation. Called and made an appointment for 5 weeks from that day but I knew it would be worth it. They called me the day before to confirm and told me everything that was going to happen. It was a smooth drop off and call later that day. They saved the trans by doing a full service/double flush and some compound to help it stay together. Car went from shuttering hard between 20-30 mph to like brand new!!!! Magic workers - i tell you. Look no further! Always bringing my cars here! Mahalo nui loa!Service: Transmission

I found the atmosphere of the establishment to be professional and the staff to be knowledgeable and courteous.I had an appointment I couldn't make and, even though it was probably an inconvenience, they found a way to shift my appointment to a day that really worked well for me.When looking for people to work on my vehicle I will always turn here.

My Ford Ranger was serviced about a month ago. My overdrive light was flashing and was to order another transfrom the mainland. I walked in, made an appointment for the truck to be diagnosed at the Hilo location. My initial impression was though the place of business was cluttered with cars and trucks with limited parking, it was relatively tidy, work bay looked clean and technicians dressed professionally. Even the office area looked organized and clean. As arranged, I dropped off my Ranger before they opened and Vic called me later that AM. He gave me the run down on the findings, what could of happened through the life of the transmission and gave me options on what to do in much detail. I thought I was in Auto transmission class 101! Vic explained and sent pictures highlighting the work being done. Wow, I was impressed with that!I picked up my Ranger at the end of day, small chat with Vic then paid my bill.Lastly, I take great care of my vehicles and one thing I shake my head to when I take my vehicle to an auto shop is when I find automotive grease or an oily film on the floor mat, the areas that are regularly handled with other things being touched. But not here, although I still wiped all areas due to COVID. Mahalo to Vic and the Transmission Technology team for the professional service. I was told I had a bad rear differential by the dealership and advised to check with Transmission Tech as they might be able to rebuild or get a used one. I'm so glad I came here. Brysen was so helpful and carefully explained everything. They did their diagnostic and found that in fact the problem was not even the diff but a bad transfer case! I would have been out $4k and not even on the right part!Brysen then found a replacement part for me and facilitated getting it. Installation went really well and I had my car back the next day. I had to come back to check a small sound, the team was very thorough and so considerate. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The guy there was super nice super helpful and super helpful. They use top notch parts(better than oem) WITH LIFETIME WARRANTY. They also dropped the transmission for me. Deserves the 4-Star rating I gave. A 5th star would be deserved if they had more products. I mean, there are a lot of other vehicles on the big island. I'm waiting for the perfect go-to automotive place .. Thats trustworthy and worth spending time and money.. This place is almost there! Employees are very polite and welcoming !
