Wonderful experience with this company. While it did take a moment to get the parts in for our car, they kept us in the loop at every step. When we went to pick up the car, they took the time to explain the work they did and ensure that we were happy with everything.Even though we live in Kona, if we ever need work done on our car, we d come here.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Don t work with them if you re a woman. I called for weeks and they never called back or made any effort to even schedule to have my car fixed. They did nothing for us until my dad called. 2 months before they took it in and 2 months before it was fixed. We only worked with them because of our insurance

I took my car in for a estimation. It took 45 days for an answer. While waiting for a call about the estimation. I called them 2 times through out the 45 days. They told me they were short appraisers and that they're working on it. Several days past I went into MS to talk to someone, I was escorted outside to talk with the appraiser, he than apologized for the delay and assured me it's being worked on. Well on the 45th day I called the appraiser and he told me this weak excuse. He said his supervisor told him to say that they can't work on my car because they don't have the man power to repair it. I was like it took 45 days for you to tell me that. I was tripping out. I asked if Junior knew and the appraiser changed the subject like he didn't want to say yes or no. I took my car to BODY PROS the following day. Bob at body pros got an estimation to me at the end of the same day. MS has to work on communication and customer service.

I am happy MS Auto did everything they could fix my truck.They care about their clients.It took a long time to get my truck repaired.It had to be sent to another company to get diagnosed and repaired for potential electrical issues.I got my truck back after 7 weeks. I was upset about a few minor details with MS Auto, but Junior was very forthcoming and communicated with me that if I was not satisfied he would right any wrong, and he worked with my insurance, Farmer's insurance to make sure I was informed and as satisfied they could accommodate. After I was satisfied- he (Junior from MS Auto) followed up by phone and text.I feel like MS Auto showed me they really care about their customers.They can only control what they are responsible for and in the middle of Pandemic- in the middle of Pacific, they found a way to show they back up their certifications and reputation.Sometimes after an accident your Truck wont ever be the same again.Again, I am happy they did everything they could to make it that way.Thank you.Services: Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim

I took my vehicle to MS Auto for one mina collision repair as a claimant in a liberty mutual case. I gave my trust to da preferred shop despite never once receiving any paperwork going over the items to be replaced and the quote of how much it was to be. Even when I dropped off my car I received no paperwork even remotely hinting dat my car was in their shop.. I had to ask the staff several times for da summary of da items to be fixed.I was called before my estimated finish date and alerted that my car was pau. When I arrived the FIRST time to pick up my car, during my inspection I find that the driver window is no longer functioning and the inside handle is physically broken and preventing the door opening from the inside. Both functions I mind you were working fine when I dropped my vehicle off. After sitting in the lobby for over 3 hours watching the staff scramble, we finally came to the conclusion that they needed to keep my car longer. I was sent away from the shop with no vehicle, liberty mutual would no longer cover the rental and the owner Junior declined my request for a ride home. Instead I was forced to hitchhike 30 miles home during the time of the COVID crisis. I traveled over 180 miles in just 3 days because of the confusion and incompetence of this shop.The second time I go to pick up my car, I m so over dealing with this shop and the financial roller coaster ride of a scam they were taking me on. I lifted the hood and noticed the technician black philips head screw driver just sitting their in the pocket under da hood. Now if this doesn t scream lack of attention to detail , I dunno what will.COVID19 COMMENT:I m not one to nitpick on mask wearing, It feels a bit authoritarian to me but this situation warrants all the ridicule that it rightfully deserves.I spent countless hours sitting in the lobby and observing the interactions between staff during a mask mandated pandemic. I had several intimate conversations with the owner, Junior, unmasked as he spilled his raw unfiltered dog and pony act about why my car was in worse functioning shape than when I brought it to them. No mask no matter. No malama, big matter. This shop does not Malama it s customers.Service: Body & Trim

Actual body work 10/10 and paint job 9/10 on the vehicle was really good. Communication was poor 2/10. Post-job cleanliness of the work 1/10. The interior of my vehicle was insanely dusty after being worked on, with foot prints on the doors and seats. I found black fingerprints on the interior ceiling, like two feet in length (beige so it really stood out) where the trim was removed & put back. I was able to clean it with some car cleaner product. Other parts of the trim weren't put back well (weather strip for the trunk). The biggest thing was that my vehicle had a tow hitch installed, along with the wiring that lets you connect to a trailer to have the corresponding lights. This was removed while in the shop and was not put back to its original state, the wires were actually zip-tied to the tow hitch, instead of re-attached. I had to do it myself, for the second time since I did it originally (Photos attached where plug was unplugged at tail light and secured to tow bar underneath vehicle). Emailed Matthew (estimator) and the company email, never got a reply regarding any of these. I was offered to fix a very small paint scratch/chip of the painted area cause by the trim being put back carelessly. This is the second vehicle I've brought to this shop, the first time was superb results, the second time was this. Sad to say I was disappointed and had to share my honest experience.

Nice quality job on our SUV. There was a delay with parts from the mainland - not MS fault.Good communication, personal was gracious and accommodating and all promises and guarantees were fulfilled.If needed, will be back.

2006 Kia SportageHad to put my car in for left side crunch on door, left side mirror broken no mirror, door handle broken and with long scratches along side. This place did a fantastic job fixing everything. Looked like the day I purchased the car. Beautiful job matching the paint to its original. Great people to do business with.

Owner & staff are quite lovely & helpful. Had to get our bumper fixed after a small, but damaging meeting with one big lava rock. Certified work via our insurance company. Mahalo!

I put one star but would like it to be no stars. They do not have quality. Go in to fix problems and come out with different ones. Went in to fix windshield and chips on hood. Windshield was good but paint on hood looked like a leopard. It toke them one month to schedule me to fix the hood again. Once the finished it got back truck with scratches on headlight from buffing and clear on headlight and then some sort of scratch repair on my fender that they did with a colored matched pen and cleared over it and looked like some worm thing but they should have not even cleared my or worked on fender, fender had no damage or was talked about to be painted. Bad place to period

MS Auto is Hilo's Best Auto Body Shop. The office staff is very polite and professional. They always make me feel welcome and appreciated, that is hard to find in a company now days. They preform Top Notch quality repairs and have the highest qualified collision repair technicians in Hawaii. They have excellent color matching and they only use the best paint products on your vehicle. They also use computerized measuring and frame straightening equipment. Great service no nonsense right to the point, explained everything did what needed to be done very timely. I worked in a Body Shop on the mainland for ten year's Office and HR, I definitely would recommend MS Auto and will use them if needed.Ron Zotto

I only went in to drop off keys, but no one jumped up to help me and they all seemed very uninterested in my presence. No idea what kind of work they do, but with that kind of impression, I can't say they'd be my first choice.
